Nowhere near as massive as Norbolds Hole!

As he didn't specifically state he was taking a year out from the World Cup, that is implied not fact. As I said it's a matter of interpretation and opinion. We differ....get over it.
-
So your interpretation of his words is more valid than anyone elses. As I stated clearly it was my opinion. It differs from yours. I twisted nothing, no more or less than you have.
-
Not an attack at all, just an opinion based on a link you provided. No we don't know the full story. We only have Woofindens version of events via media outlets and to be frank it us full of anger and not that consistent. I'm no apologist for the BSPA but whatever the truth, they have at least resisted slagging people off in public. Yes they asked as to his availability, reasonable given his quotes above, he tried to impose conditions on his selection, they declined. Those are the facts according to him. From those I'm on the side of the BSPA. Riders should ride, if they want to run the show they should pay up and buy into a promotion.

That was posted on 16 Aug 2016. The World Games are being held from 20th to 30th July - eleven months after that interview. Does Woffinden have a different version of a year to every one else? And in case you are in any doubt of his intentions then I'll quote from the interview that you posted the link to. Now tell me he isn't just looking after no 1 by wanting to ride in the World Games because it'a a money spinner for him being on his home track. It has stuff all to do with him wanting to ride for Great Britiain.

Is There A Need For Guest Riders?
Star Lady replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Or as I've long advocated each top league club has a tie up with a second division club who in turn has a tie up with a NL club. i.e. Belle Vue, Sheffield and Buxton are one grouping. If numbers allow 2 middle tier clubs in each group fine. Missing riders can only be replaced by riders from within those three clubs up to whatever the maximum points allowance is. So a top league reserve can if points allow ride for NL or middle tier. Yes there might be a few under-strength teams now and again but IMO no more than there is now. At least there will be a degree of consistency in riders turning out for "your" team. -
I would venture to suggest that Nicholls, Richardson, Wigg and Loram didn't try to get selected for GB when a lucrative "individual" meeting was being staged on their home track in Poland (or any other country). Spot the difference.

I saw it somewhere yesterday, either twitter or on here. Think they cited lack of medical cover. I've said before the official Lynn site is poorly updated and this proves it. Fans it seems don't need to know such information. Hopefully you can still enjoy a nice break.

They wear safety gear, spectators don't Seriously tho, heaven forbid should the worst happen would the "motorsports are dangerous" warning stop anyone suing for damages? -
You obviously don't know me then because anyone who knew me then would tell you I had absolutely no time for Scott Nicholls.

That's a serious health and safety concern. -
As I said I was sticking to facts.
-
No they weren't but this thread is about Tai Woffinden not them.
-
Sticking to facts. Tai is British. He tweeted he rides for GB in the GPs (according to others has no choice) Tai refused to ride for Team GB Tai refused to ride for his national title. Tai now wants to ride for Britain in a two bit competition that happens to be on his home Polish track. Seems to me he is British when it suits him. Thats his choice but don't expect me to believe he is patriotic.

I really don't give a tinkers cuss what was said, I was merely trying to suggest something to help folk like semion and also benefit the club. Believe it or not I do still care about Lynn speedway I just don't like its present incarnation. I obviously don't know you as well as you think Trees, cos I did not think wind up....sorry. -

Would have thought it would be a bit out of date by then If they put it online you would be able to find out and not be reliant on people who can stay until stupid o'clock and who are prepared to divulge such secret information -

I will try and be constructive here. Would it be possible for the after meeting press conferences to be periscoped or if that might hit bar revenue (which I understand) film it and put it online the day or even 2 days later. There have been several comments from folk who cannot stay due to work ,early starts, kids etc. This would allow them to feel part of it. -
Doesn't mean you have to like or accept it.

Tai Woffinden Dumped (on) By The Scb / Bspa
Star Lady replied to uk_martin's topic in International World of Speedway
It has occured to me that a small side benefit is that Poland or whoever is promoting these World Games might now know something of how British speedway feels when riders are forced to miss British speedway because of their unilateral 3 teams rule. In the words of Citizen Smith.......Power to the BSPA -

I read it as they asked if he was available which was a reasonable enquiry given his refusal to ride for Team GB. -

He may well be talented astride a speedway bike but his diplomacy skills need a lot of work -
Very eloquently put GRW. I felt the same and am grateful that I have those wonderful memories of defeats (and a very occasional win) up and down the land and the feeling of belonging. Sadly they are something this generation of fans can only dream of.

Because sticking with under performing riders is the norm for Lynn

Trust me I'm not laughing at anything the supporters club are trying to do Steve. I know how hard they work and offered my support from the very start altho I no longer class myself as a fan. They are up against it when it comes to social nights etc because of the rural catchment area, whereas Peterboro has a core of urban support.
