  1. I've seen some decent racing at Buxton which is more than I've seen tonight
  2. You sound like a politician!!! I know nothing of the sort.
  3. A couple of things that annoy me about speedway (yes Trees more ). Anyone in management calling fans keyboard warriors, cos whatever their views they are entitled to state them, abuse apart, especially if they are paying customers. The second is the secrecy that seems to surround the sport. Fans are not idiots nor are they delicate little flowers that need the truth keeping from them. Maybe if the fans were given more information in good time there would be less keyboard warriorism. Just a thought.
  4. Seems strange that Lynn have to go to Somerset on a GP weekend when there are so few GP riders in the UK. As you say it's the fans that miss out.
  5. Hoping the weather Is good, turnout is massive and the racing entertains. If that happens It will be a fitting tribute to Bryn
  6. If the person with Autism is unable to cope alone then of course the carer should get in free. As for receiving Carers Allowance, many carers don't receive or claim it. That doesn't mean the person being cared for is any more or less disabled. I am a carer and have been for 30 years but don't get Carers Allowance having never claimed it. As I said before if the facilities are such that a disabled person can use them totally unaided and therefore have the same experience as a non disabled person I really don't see why a carer should get in free. However if a disabled person cannot use ALL the facilities (i.e. access toilets or all the terracing so as to choose their own viewing point) to the same standard as a non disabled person then they should.
  7. He has tweeted that he turned round and is en route to Swondon
  8. IMHO much depends on the facilities in the stadium. If the facilities are such that the disabled person can manage without a carer, I see no reason for said carer to have free admission (reduced maybe but not free). If the disabled person is unable to fully use the facilities provided i.e. terracing, bar, toilets etc without help then the carer should be admitted free of charge. As referred to above not all disabilities are visible but not all disabled people need a carer if the facilities provided are good.
  9. Not sure of the time scale but wasn't King injured after KK's meeting was called off. Therefore no rider would have had his guest booking unhonoured.
  10. 2miles across town from stadium and still dry but overcast and rather chilly
  11. No...no surprise there tho, but family not going either said it's too cold and Rye not exciting. Don't shoot the messenger lol.
  12. Irrelevant. Garrity wasn't the original intention. Could be called karma cos KK could easily have got a flight in for tonights meeting
  13. Because KK is a POOLE rider and the fans deserve to see said rider whenever possible. I won't go into the possible "strengthens Poole arguement"
  14. Thanks for that. From the bit in bold I'll assume the whinging Aussies need to go to Weight Watchers
  15. Forgive my complete ignorance of anything remotely technical but do different tyre pressures have anything to do with it? Or do all riders use the same pressure?
  16. I agree with you about the stupid black and white dingly dangly tablecloth. It adds nothing to the sport except hold it up for ridicule. It's one of the reasons my love for the sport has waned. I respect you and admire your persistence in making your stand but in all honesty is it the ONLY reason you no longer attend.
  17. I've seen a fair bit of moaning by Aussie riders but not much by Brits and Danes. That could be indicative of who I follow on Twitter lol.
  18. The bit in bold comes under unforeseen circumstances and I doubt anyone would complain about waiting whilst they dealt with someone. It sounds as if Belle Vue did all they could to make up time, so well done to them.
  19. I wonder if Pearson will be quite so shouty on BT. I don't watch much sport but recall reading posts that say Sky commentators are all shouty. why are BTs lot like?
  20. I used to sell raffle tickets and I occasionally used to work on the turnstiles circa late 1990s there were very rarely more than 4 turnstiles open. 2 full price and concession/child on the home straight and one (occasionally) 2 on the crown of the 3/4bends. I can't remember many if any delayed starts tho.
  21. 2015 NL at Lynn, 2016 at Peterborough. You should ask why someone like myself doesn't bother going 2 miles up the road after 40+ years of going week in and week out. From what I hear about last night someone is listening and trying to improve things. Let's hope it continues and I might get back into the habit again because in many ways I do miss it.
  22. What about the 800 that are already in the stadium, having made the effort to get there on time, some of whom may well have work to go to later in the evening? Should they be late for their paid employment because others sit in their cars in the car park until 5 minutes before the start time? The only time a delayed start should happen is if there has been major disruption on the roads leading to a stadium or other such unforeseen circumstances. Well done Lynn for stating starts will not be delayed again, let's hope they stick to it.
  23. Who's Ken? Lol. I've got Homeland to catch up on.
