  1. Just that he will have his say after the weekend AFAIK
  2. If his explanation is a good one he would still get that. In which case he would be best advised to say nothing at all surely.
  3. Another thing that puzzles me is that Holder has tweeted that he will put his side after the weekend........why the wait.
  4. What puzzles me is why the other riders did not back him. I've seen several tweets from various riders from all over supporting him but on Thursday when it mattered they didn't. If the track was dangerous, I'm not qualified to judge, and as has been reported the rest of the riders agreed why was Holder the only rider that (allegedly) refused to ride (opinions on Batchelor's withdrawal differ). I can accept the argument that the Poole riders sensing a victory cos the Lynn riders didn't fancy it would not join in BUT if all 7 of the Lynn riders had stuck together what would have happened. Would the SCB have suspended the whole 1-7? So this begs the questions. Was pressure put on the other riders and only Holder stuck it out? Did Batchelor approach the medic or did the medic sign him off independently? Was the track safe after the remedial work, it's been reported that Hans Andersen said it was. If so why didn't Holder continue? Why didn't he simply go up to the tapes in his programmed race and blast thro them, I've seen that dozens of times before. Several times individual riders have attempted to form a Riders Association without much luck or support, surely in a situation such as Thursday and it's fall out such an organisation would give support to riders. Or are riders only interested in safety etc when it affects them personally.?
  5. Which cause would that be...king's Lynn's or Troy Batchelor's ?
  6. Having tasted the waters at Harrogate that made me chuckle. Spot on !!!
  7. Gavin Caney (ex announcer) went with Dale and said on Twitter he went so Dale wouldn't be alone, so no doubtful that Lyon went to hospital
  8. But like Batchelor he was covered by medical certificates. In both cases it's the rules that are wrong IMO. If a rider is declared unfit during a meeting , like Batchelor, there should be a minimum time out period.e.g. Three days. After all riders bang on about safety, so if a wrist is not deemed strong enough to race on Wednesday surely the same wrist would be unsafe 24 hours later. Therefore riders should support it ...yeah right safety is only an issue sometimes Not sure what can be done about riders riding overseas
  9. JC, much as Batchelor's withdrawal annoyed folk as I understand it he didn't actually break any rules. Whether the rules are correct is a whole different matter It is reasonable that they kept quiet if they knew the Holder matter was under investigation by the SCB but that was then a statement from the club on Holder's suspension should happen quickly as you say.
  10. King's Lynn Speedway‏ @KLSpeedway 5m5 minutes agoMore NEWS | Chris Holder suspended for 28-days by SCB - Steve Worrall comes in as guest for Wednesday v Rye House. Lewis Kerr for Lewis Rose too. There ya go.
  11. Well it seems twelve other riders did last Thursday night. Maybe they didn't have bodies and bikes
  12. I've thought that for a couple of years now. Maybe it's best if the UK simply ban GP riders. go semi pro then maybe we can return to a bit of loyalty, interaction with fans and who knows more standardised engines and decent racing.
  13. Jonathan in your opinion if there were only say two hundred fans at each meeting would sponsors still put the same amount of money in? Put another way, what's in it for sponsors, would fans voting with their feet and not turning up have any effect. How much power do sponsors have over clubs? I know you may prefer not to answer, and I would understand that but fans are unlikely to get any info from other sources,
  14. Of course it's not you gave the answer in an earlier post
  15. At least Lynn fans can put things right, now all we need is the riders and promoters to learn how to lol
  16. And should they still be in the team, it will be interesting to see the reception Holder/Batchelor get.
  17. As the rules stand he has done no wrong. I'm not defending him BTW. Common sense and Aussie speedway rider bit of an oxymoron If Buster sacked Holder and Batchelor (who allegedly were the main culprits last night) and ended up with a weakened team for the remainder of the season would that satisfy the Lynn fans. If not what else do they want/expect Buster to do about last nights events.
  18. Wise words. The sport is bigger than any individual be it Woffy or random whinging Aussies. What riders have to remember is they want to sling their leg over a bike and have some fun they can. if they want to get paid for it they have to remember who actually pays to watch them do it, after all none of them are forced to chose it as a career.
  19. The very LEAST the club could do is offer reduced admission to fans by way of some sort of apology. Now my Cynical head says this will probably happen when BT come to town and admission will be £10.....just like all the other tracks have done.
  20. No need to get your knickers in a knot!!! I never said there was anything wrong with Nando's. I was simply trying to be helpful and add info for those that didn't know. If you don't like me doing that feel free to ignore me I'm making no comment on Rosco cos you might get something else in a knot and end up singing soprano
