I'd agree with that with the proviso that any vote taken in point 2 is by secret ballot to avoid any undue pressure being put on younger/less experienced riders.

Speak for yourself. There are quite a few folk who enjoy watching the youngsters and then following their progress into the higher echelons of the sport. If they are not given early chances where the heck do you think the next generation of riders are going to come from?

I'm all for early call offs rather than standing around for hours watching tractors but this week was special circumstances following the debacle last Thursday, so the very least that Buster could have done is highlighted below.

1 Independent body to oversee the sport 2 Abolish the dingly dangly double points rubbish 3 Standardise engines 4 Provide some kind of entertainment in addition to the bare 15 heats, riders contracts include clause that they must do laps of honour, go round with flags etc (i.e interact with the fans) 5 All clubs to provide time for 6 heats of junior racing for British youngsters (curfew permitting) at every meeting (could be put in between heats, before or after It's all cloud cuckoo land stuff really. Can't see any of it happening at all track.

It's pretty clear from Lamber's tweets that all is not well at the club. Having said that not one rider from what I've seen has expressed any concern for the fans that were affected either, Is it any wonder the sport is in its death throes.

I'm no Batchelor fan but to be fair he did take a heavy knock to his wrist on Monday so this time it might be genuine. What is unacceptable is fans finding out from sources other than the club.
