  1. Anyone got a racecard for this. Not worth buying a programme might as well fill a blank racecard in the number of changes.
  2. i agree with all the comments that this meeting was a farce given all the guests etc but just to put the score in context Lynn got 9 points less away than Rye House got last night and as far as I can see from the updates didn't used a dingly dangly double score doophoops. That's a whole 9 points less than a full team (guest reserve) scored at home. I'm not defending what happened at Leicester but it makes you think a bit.
  3. If you think this was a poor meeting just be grateful you weren't at Lynn on Wednesday!
  4. It's one thing to voice opinions but quite another to walk out of meetings and treat fans with contempt.
  5. Past history Trees. That does not give Aussies or anyone else the right to rubbish on British Speedway from a great height. I can't imagine Crump, Sullivan, Adams or Parker behaving as the current crop of Aussies are doing.
  6. Allows them to reside here tho, which in Holder senior's case seems to be important.
  7. Not sure how anyone can prove he was given a booking sheet as the promotion are backing him? What does a booking sheet entail ? I agree a fine and ban for Holder and I'd fine Ged as well for being disrespectful to the fans (especially Newcastle and Scunthorpe)
  8. Well that's two fingers stuck up at all Newcastle and Scunthorpe fans then. Not sure how those promotions feel about it either. This "i'm alright Jack stuff everyone else" attitude is rabidly contagious.
  9. Spot on. I'd like to see another rule brought in, not completely because of the Aussies this time. Any rider who misses a meeting anywhere because of injury (even with a valid certificate) is not allowed to ride in the UK for 72 hours afterwards.
  10. Haven't clubs been fined for fielding understrength teams in the past?
  11. Despite all the no shows I'm still looking forward to this one. I don't support any of the teams so just looking forward to some good honest racing. And £15 for 32 heats it's good value for money.
  12. The BSPA have invented a super dooper powerful new bouncy castle that will bounce doubling up riders from Leicester after their first ride to their Championship club and back again so they can ride for both clubs......who says they never do anything for speedway
  13. That's it in a nutshell THEIR TEAM. Doesn't matter so much if they win or lose as long as you can relate to the riders as being yours. If teams are packed with guests it might as well be an individual meeting.
  14. There seem to be far too many tails wagging the dog nowadays and most of them belong to dingos.
  15. Possibly but I was judging it by my experience on Wednesday
  16. Serious question. Is there anything in any regulations about teams being declared before the public are admitted to the stadium. Tomorrow's teams seem to have come under the official secrets act.
  17. There is no contest as far as I'm concerned. As you say TV coverage now is excellent, contrast that with what I endured last Wednesday and I'd be mad to go in person. There is nothing that is better in person. On TV I can hear what's in interviews, I can see who is in an upcoming heat, I can see the racing (if there is any lol) fa better than from the terraces, can see replays, no one blows smoke in my direction , no bored kids creating mayhem and there is just as much atmosphere in my lounge as there is at the stadium. It's a no brainier. Like you I'd be more than happy to pay per view, and not just Lynn matches. As it is I pay a subscription to BT so will use it. I have shared the clubs social media stuff on a couple of the social groups sites that I belong to as I know there are lots of folk who used to go "back in the day", I emphasised the only a tenner and before anyone asks didn't give any negative comments at all. So far no one has said they will go but I have tried.
  18. I did and obviously missed it Sorry...do you forgive me...pretty please I also checked the SGB site and couldn't find it there either
  19. Semion. Crowd was appalling maybe 700 ish at best. Fans that were there appeared to back Buster he was applauded after his piece on the mic. Kevin Moore was centre green mic with Edwin in the box. Rob Godfrey was team manager tho prog said Colin Pratt. Buster only did one stint of about 5-6 laps last night so assume he was in charge.
  20. Re reading what I wrote last night it seems a bit harsh maybe but it's what I thought at the time and I still do. It gave be no pleasure to be so negative because I started to get some enthusiasm back in the last two days, that's gone completely now. I suppose what I wrote is how a newcomer might see things in many ways and if the sport wants to thrive it needs to sort out the little things that can be done so easily. I agree Buster was up against it last night in several ways, track prep being one of them. I did notice the shale mountain but assumed that was normal The weather forecast wasn't good, as it happened it was better than predicted. the track was smooth and consistent (in my eyes) therefore safe which is the most important thing. The weather probably didn't help crowd numbers (which I thought appalling) which in turn didn't help the atmosphere. As I said the effort was there from the newbies. There was just nothing on the track to help the riders catch and pass their opposition (from either side). Apart from the overtake the only time there was a hint of a decent race was when Simon Lambert seemed to be doing his best to stop Auty but that could just be down to clash of riding styles. My evening wasn't helped because the pa kept cutting out so we had to guess at times what was going on, the wind was howling in our backs as well taking the words that did come out away, but on the plus side we had no problem with dust . The Auty? exc for going on the infield was one instance Not Lynn's fault but WTF is that rule all about!!!! Given a decent racing track I think the new look team might spring a few surprise, I hope so.Buster and the loyal fans deserve something this season after the contempt shown them by a couple of egotistical riders. I apologise, that was most remiss of me. They did an excellent job especially losing Doyle in heat 1 and I should have given them credit last night.
  21. That's exactly how it made me feel. nearly as miserable as staying in and watching Corrie . On the bright side I'm pretty sure I'll see some decent racing on Sunday at Peterboro.
