Dangerous Machines Or Dangerous Tracks.

Not sure I understand that but the question remains has the extra 2000 revs improved the sport as a spectacle or simply fuelled the egos of the riders 2000 times -

No argument with Hancock giving his views but commentators are there to give information such as which riders are in a heat. Reminiscing is fine but not to the detriment of the job you are meant to do. -
Presumably the official was following the rules set by the top official I.e. The meeting referee, who had also informed the riders at the riders meeting that was held on the centre green. From my own observations the vast majority of riders came to a halt on the track at the pit gate so why should one rider think he is above those rules? That of course is if indeed a rider did attempt to ride thro the pits.

Dangerous Machines Or Dangerous Tracks.

But it's not just British tracks. How many times do we see riders in GPs lift and veer violently across the track and they are supposedly the best riders in the world. -

As I've watched it for 50+ years now....let me think.....can't remember Olle Nygren having super tuners nor Ove Fundin but by god they had fantastic riding skills -

It's a different type of skill. It tests split second reactions and the expensive skill of the tuner. I prefer the other type of skill based purely on riding ability but each to their own. -

Anyone know if there is a final or is it a straight 20 heat meeting. Lambert unbeaten after 5 rides. EDIT just noticed there is space on the race card for heats 6 and 7 so I assume it's one of those semi and final scenarios. Nathan Greaves finishes on 7 points after 5 rides -

No flak from me. I'd rather see riders demonstrate their riding skills than a pilot trying to control a rocket ship. -

Blimey just watched heat 13 on RL's facebook and this is being staged literally in front of one man and his dog ...not that I saw the dog -

The way I understand it Holder was reported to the SCB by a licensed official i.e the meeting referee. He was suspended in the interim by his promoter/BSPA (not sure which), At his SCB hearing various witness statements/evidence was given. Unless Cook is reported by a licensed official there will be no action and we are just left with conflicting views from fans.

I'm no longer a regular Stars supporter but admit to waking this morning with a feeling of satisfaction after reading the complimentary comments from Belle Vue fans after last night. Seems the pride is back in the Stars team.

Every time riders complain about that tracks are dangerous we get the comments that modern machines are unpredictable and can buck an rear. Some of those comments come from well qualified people i.e. Kelvin Tatum amongst others. That being so why don't riders complain about the modern bikes? Surely if the bikes are unpredictable they are as dangerous as badly prepared tracks. It's not just UK tracks, the comments come during GPs as well. Or is it the "he's got a shiny new toy and I want one syndrome"? It's something that has puzzled me for some time. I'm all for rider safety and this seems to be an area that everyone ignores.

Star Lady replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well I'm gobsmacked. Well done all the riders who got on with it tonight in rather wet conditions And bloody well done to the sub standard Lynn Stars who got a point.....wonder who put any money on that EDITED to add that the sub standard description is not mine but a label given to them by some others -

You forgot he's the overgrown schoolboy who gurns his way into camera shot at every opportunity. Otherwise you are spot on. -

Possibly but the Lynn team that everyone said was sub standard after the changes is doing a damn sight better away than Poole did at home last night. I'm satisfied with that -

Alternatively he knew he was guilty as charged and had no defence. BTW has anyone seen any sign of his promised statement.....or indeed any kind of apology to the fans that paid to see him ride?
