Didn't realise promoters could go over refs head but that would also take time I assume. Last night was one of those nights that get thrown up occasionally, when what can go wrong does. I think most of the complaining is a result of the way fans have been treated over the last few seasons and not solely based on last nights events. The goodwill of fans will only stretch so far. easy for me to see both sides (I'm Libran anyway) as I wasn't there

The home promoter before giving advise to the ref would take into account 1 ETA of ambulance return (which can change without warning) 2 weather( will wait longer if warm rather than wet) 3 profit from food & drink outlet (will diminish as fans leave) 4 availability of dates for re-arrangement 5 curfew if any 6 fan satisfaction (not sure about this one and will never please them all anyway) even after all that the final decision is the referees. Going by a comment from g13webb above re Kerr's exclusion I'm not convinced he would have taken advice anyway

Was that the one where Shane Parker helped out with the tractor driving Also recall one from the Waggy days, think it was a pairs meeting, that didn't start till nearly 10, then the riders pulled all sorts of stunts, tape breaking, 2 min exc etc.

Not sure if the 10.30 curfew is correct. I've been at several meetings that didn't finish till 11.

First and most important best wishes to both riders for a full and speedy recovery. As for the ambulance issue, as others have said 2 ambulances do not necessarily mean 2 paramedics. Having 2 ambulances plus 2 paramedics at every meeting would increase the cost considerably and possibly mean an extra quid on the admission price and I can hear the moaning now.Sadly the ambulance service has to prioritise resources and serious tho Lewis Kerr's injuries were, if not deemed life threatening resources would be sent to patients that were. It's a sad fact as is the awful long waits for ambulances at A & E waiting to hand over patients. Much as I dislike the way the club treat fans nowadays, if as Danny Connor says fans were informed, I fail to see what more the club could have done. They could have called it off when the ambulance left with Kerr, but it is possible that the crew were told it would be a relatively short wait to hand over, the club informed and then other more serious patients arrived at A & E. It's not an exact science.

There are lifts on the back straight, not sure about first bend. I'd ring them, but whatever they do I'd advise informing a steward ASAP ( especially if the disability isn't immediately visible) when you arrive outside the stadium. I've always found them extremely helpful.

Didn't even realise there was a meeting on Wednesday. Just about sums up the publicity surrounding Lynn and before anyone says I wouldn't go anyway, No, I wouldn't but there might just be some newbies/holidaymakers who might in this lovely weather. If they realised there was a meeting of course.

Therein lies the problem. You try your best to be positive towards the club but imply that if questions are asked in public they won't be answered,? I appreciate your efforts and know how much effort you put in. I'd be interested to know exactly how much say Robin Brundle has over the way things are run or conversely how much of a figurehead he is. Is his tenure expected to be long term. You won't be surprised to know my money is on not

With respect Trees, asking fans who attend the press conferences is not the answer. Those fans are, like yourself, diehards who quite frankly would believe the moon was made of cheese if the Lynn management said so. They are not the people the management have to convince. It's the lapsed fans, those than only go occasionally, the ones who have never been. The diehards, are getting fewer as each season passes and unless something is done to stop the rot, in time they will have nothing to cling on to. If you are happy with that situation, fine but as I said I would hate to see the club die.

Well said Bagpuss. If something isn't done to stop the rot, there will come a time when there will be no club to support or moan about. Ive gone from a rabid every home and 95% of away meetings to not even looking to see the score in the evening in under 10 years. it's all very well Brundle bringing in these new features, and I applaud it wholeheartedly, but without addressing the lack of trust the fans have in the club things will only get worse. I doubt I will ever become a regular again, it will have to be something very special to even get me back thro Saddlebow Roads turnstiles again but I would hate to see the club die. Lots of issues are not specifically Lynn's fault, FRNs, stupid rules etc BUT the club has to start treating the fans they have left with respect. tell them the truth! don't try and polish a turd with what they think fans want to hear. The time for that went away with the advent of social media. Fans now demand the truth and the club needs to recognise it. Unless and until they do the slope IMHO is downhill. Two ambulances do not necessarily mean two paramedics. No idea if there were two in attendance yesterday but I would assume Ulrich required one to acccompany him to hospital and a meeting requires a paramedic in attendance during racing. .

Swindon ride on Thursdays so we should have all our Danes....oh but hang on a cotton picking minute, doubling up strikes again !!!

I saw a tweet from Lynn saying they are showing the footie on the big screen come and watch both. Not sure how, as you can't see the racing from the bar or the TV from the terraces

So is the BSPA putting it on their website saying it's exciting supposed to tempt new fans? If not what's the point of it and indeed why not use footage of the better race?

Curiousity led me to watch it. If that's the race of the night no wonder the sport is dying.

I'm sure the happy clappers will complain and say it's negativity and it is BUT it's the truth.

I like Cookie, but with a warning against him it made perfect sense to replace him in the next and the rest as they say is history. Lambert performed so couldn't be dropped. Imagine the comments on here if Rosco had left Cook in, or put him back in for rides 4/5 and he hadn't performed (for whatever reason). I'm no fan of Rosco but last night he did what was best for the team as a whole and that is quite simply the role of a team manager. Do the best for the team without fear or favour.

I'm still no fan of Woffy, but total respect to him tonight, one of only 2 riders that looked for their team mate. The other incidentally was Lambert in the race with the Swedes. still found the whole format boring .
