Any news on who is replacing Lewis Kerr?
-
Someone who actually gets it !!! just a shame it's a Poole fan
-
You're still missing the point but hey ho all is well and good in the world of speedway so why does it need to tell people that it's there.
-
I think you miss the point. Clubs should make it easy to find out these things. In all honesty they should make it impossible to miss in these days of social media. No one, fans or newbies should have to search for fixtures.

Well wasn't that exciting ....not

Photographers in British Speedway
Star Lady replied to GreenLightGo's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm not familiar with any of the photographers involved, but surely if the 17 year olds pictures are as good as or better than those of the old established photographers, they will be the ones sought after by the media and eventually by fans. Just because someone has done the same job for many years it doesn't follow that they are better than anyone else. -
Kings Lynn used to but then stopped it. No idea of the current situation.
-
Never been impressed with NKIs team riding when at Lynn but that was a different level

I assume they have a new toy (a drone?) and having spent money on it want their money's worth. I agree tho it's awful

I excel at being petty So I'm told

I've never had a problem with dogs at speedway. Met quite a few over the years and without exception they were well behaved, friendly when approached and the owners had them completely uinder control Some parents could do well to take lessons on their charges behaviour from the dog owners.

Do you know something? it is what it is how many more times is Woffinden going to say that

Kings Lynn stars v Ipswich witches PSC 15th April
Star Lady replied to Badge's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm sure it is but I've got along without them for some time now so in the words of the song I'll get along without them now Instead of the blue and gold hued version given out by the club I prefer to read the likes of Trees thro to G13Webb and all shades in between and make my own mind up. I tend to be swayed by the likes of Speedball and Bagpuss whose opinions I totally respect as they tend to call a spade a spade and in the main are unbiased. -

Exactly that. As I recall the majority of the bans were as a result of disagreements with an individual. Not saying they were correct or incorrect but If that's a sound business reason to continue the ban they obviously don't want to increase crowd numbers. -

Snap. Haven't seen any posts that suggest a decent amount of RACING nor any posts suggesting any added value. As for updates, since Starsupates gave up I don't get any as I'm still banned by the club on social media. To be fair there are a few signs of added value but they all come courtesy of the hard working Supporters Club, who AFAIK are completely independent of the promotion. I'm sure if anything changes it will be trumpeted on here cos I sure as heck won't find out from the promotion (see above) -
Kings Lynn v Poole Mon 8/4/19 Prem Shield 1st leg
Star Lady replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I wondered cos of all the negativity around the team. Given last nights result all the local derbies might be needed to counteract poor crowds for the other fixtures. -

Wow, how things change. Ten years ago neither of us would have dreamt of missing a meeting. Hope you see some good racing, a few and maybe even a win ( no idea how likely that is ) -

Wolverhampton v Peterborough PSC Mon 8th April
Star Lady replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just had a dim memory from a few years back a team wanted a facility for a rider they had signed but hadn't actually ridden and it was denied. Im not bothered really just wondered, thanks for replying -

I thought you could not have a facility for anyone that has not ridden for you so far this season. I could be totally wrong cos I don't follow things closely anymore. Could some kind person put me right please. -
Bit in bold.....I am far from that! My comment was very tongue in cheek but he has put money in the sport and is trying to standardise it, which I assume is what all the Hearne wishers want If you think anyone would step into the sport a la Hearne and not tell riders what they can and can't do, frankly you are living in cloud cuckoo land
-
For years speedway fans have yearned for a Barry Hearne type figure to grab the sport by the short and curlies and sort it out. Now Buster has sort of half done it (or what he believes is a more professional image) some fans are up in arms and shouting riders should rule the roost. You can''t have it both ways so make your mind up before the door finally smacks you on the bum! The above is only half jesting BTW
-
A rider brilliantly blessed with riding talent but sadly deficient in human compassion and common sense.

Of course they knew BUT they had probably given Cook until yesterday to agree to the contract. In that case they were perfectly correct to say nothing on Friday. To have even hinted at it would have been totally unfair to Craig Cook. In the same way Cook was correct not to mention it in public.
