  1. I was surprised Lynn got so close if I'm honest. Had the track been dry I think Poole could have had another 6-7 points lead. Track was OK, Buster and & Co did a great job it but didn't provide that much good racing. Highlight for me was Robert Lambert team riding Simon Lambert for a 5-1. I'm a massive fan of team riding and that was among the best I've seen given the relative experience and abilities of the riders involved. It's never over till it's over and who knows what might happen next Monday. Showers forecast and the track could be a leveller. A bit of luck and we could have a Lynn vs Coventry final. Well I can dream
  2. More enjoyable of the two semis from a racing point of view. Was impressed with the spirit of the Coventry riders. Also impressed with Simon G who cleared the track without hesitation, North on the other hand hesitated for a while but fair play to him he made the right decision in the end. I hate the dingly dangly tactical do dah but with Coventry having it available should they need it when only 2 points down overall next week, I still have a sneaky suspicion they could do this, especially if it's a bit on the wet side. Coventry just seem to get on with things, a couple of Swindon riders always seem to like a bit of a whinge (must take after their team manager).
  3. Pity the weather in Coventry isn't the same as Lynn. This amount of rain would P Bratchelor right off
  4. Currently raining 2 miles from track. Not a downpour by any stretch but it's steady. EDIT Track has now had 40 minutes of natural watering. Still steady not torrential. Doesn't look like stopping any time just yet.
  5. Boring in the extreme. That's what happens when the gaters outnumber the racers. Nicki had a quiet night and boy did it show. At least Holder and AJ tried to relieve the boredom. That along with the Hancock love in meant one of the worst offerings for long time.
  6. Age does not come into it, anyone bigger than a child can be scary to that child or even to a woman but that's not the point. The point is they were NOT both involved in going amongst the crowd. I'm a neutral and have explained my reasoning. If you don't agree with it fine. Maybe I should have used the phrase degrees of guilt, would that be more to your taste I do agree with you that if both were banned/suspended it would hit Coventry harder.
  7. On track fisticuffs is one thing. Going into the crowd is another, and should never happen. It may be both were equally to blame for the on track antics but only one went into the crowd and from reports in a threatening manner. That's my reasoning for degrees of innocence.
  8. Given the goings on at Coventry last night, let's hope it doesn't spill over into the semi final. I'm not a great fan of instant justice, preferring evidence to be gathered and considered first BUT in this case I can see a case for the authorities getting a move on. Altho reading that the police may be involved I suppose they cannot. Very awkward really, if they suspend all those involved in the interim it would certainly weaken Coventry the most IMHO as Greaves would be far more easily replaced at Brandon than Sergeant. It would be unfair all round if it's later found that Sergeant is innocent (or more innocent if you get my drift.) which from reports I've read could well be the case. If they don't suspend them and it kicks off in the semi the authorities will be slated anyway.
  9. I saw that and wondered what planet they were on. With the best will in the world Tai is not as good as Darcy or NKI in Britain this season. I just think some Poole fans talk absolute male cow dung
  10. I seem to recall some Poole fans boasting that Matt Ford had brilliant guests all sorted out. Strange that they are now complaining about the guests Matt Ford has chosen. Either Matt Ford promises and doesn't deliver or some Poole fans tell porkies
  11. Maybe it will have caused him to have better hydration cos he couldn't afford beer
  12. I hesitate to post this after the hassle I got last time but I'm a better person than them Travel News. The Hardwick Roundabout will have roadworks on from 2000 to 0600 Monday evening to Tuesday morning. Only expecting slight delays but might be worth bearing in mind. Also carriage closures between Lynn and North Runcton which are not expected to cause delays. http://www.streetfinder.org/roadworks/norfolk?ty=planned
  13. My personal opinion is the help is out there if Darcy or anyone else chooses to use it. If folk don't want help you can't force them to take it. As for his punishment, that should be left to the authorities. However I'm a firm believer in justice should not only be done but should be seen to be done so my opinion is that he should not be given a wild card for 2015 GPs, if his ban doesn't allow him into the qualifiers and he keeps his nose clean until the Challenge in 2015 give him a wild card for that. If he further offends throw the book at him.
  14. Bit in bold is precisely why his transgression should be punished. These young fans look up to him, quite rightly for his on track skills, and if they see he "gets away with it" they will question why follow rules, they'll say Darcy didn't and he is OK. Rules, even tho some seem stupid and OTT, are there for a reason. This rule is there for rider safety. Until it's changed all riders should respect it.
  15. That was quite illuminating. Whilst I understand that Britain starts early, I'm concerned about the silencer issue as most riders/experts say they contribute to the number of incidents.Surely rider safety should be the be all and end all. Also interesting to finally see a promoter acknowledge that Sky do have influence over the rules i.e. tac sub/dingly dangly tablecloth thingy. As for Woffinden (and all the other GP riders who want to change British speedway to suit themselves) bye bye. If you don't want us now don't come back begging on your way back down the world rankings. Hopefully by then the fast track and other measures to help the Brits will have kicked in and there won't be any team places for you. Yep I'm in a glass full kinda mood tonight
  16. I'm a bit confused by your comments. Yes money might buy the best guests, tho that's a metter of opinion, but I fail to see how money will allow a team to have guests not of the correct average. Surely that's against the rules and would be subject to protest. That's something Lynn are not afraid to do I'm not the greatest fan of Poole, I think they are smug and can be arrogant but they deserve the top spot, they earned it.
  17. More likely someone advising Darcy Ward complained.
  18. I must speak a different version of English to some folk in Dorset. I've just read Gavan's post and he didn't question Magic's commitment this season at all. He merely pointed out that with bigger fish to fry next season, his main focus may not be Poole.
  19. Where exactly are those two trophies? As far as I'm aware there is no longer a competition for them so why not recycle them and have them as the League Winners prizes in the 2 leagues.
  20. Hopefully yes because if he gets a pick it will mean he is only banned for the off season. Therefore he actually get away almost scot free and the authorities are almost condoning drinking and turning up over the limit. If his ban finishes before the GP Challenge in 2015 maybe he could get a wild card for that, tho personally I don't think he should.
  21. How many exclusively Elite League riders will actually turn up and ride? Bet they are outnumbered by double uppers. £25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They really are having a laugh.
