Hello, bit of a long shot I know but I need to ask, I am going to the USA on Friday which of course means missing the opening gp, any chance of it being shown over there and if so what channel?

I wonder if I can find anywhere in the states to watch this.... I am gutted to miss this, good luck to Scotty and Bomber!!

GP Chit Chat - Harris
Sir Jasper replied to Gemini's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Actually he isnt, he did not qualify, neither did Harris but Harris was chosen by BSI for whatever reason. JUST to the wolves? do they not ride for anybody else? -
GP Chit Chat - Harris
Sir Jasper replied to Gemini's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Now being a brit I thought he would have your backing, as for wether he is good enough....... Entertaining enough, definetly. However we all know his gating can let him down at times, I would imagine he is working furiously away this winter. I hope the step up in international class continues to help his progress in the Elite League for Coventry. I am just very happy that I will have another rider to cheer for every grand prix weekend. -
Denmark Under 15's
Sir Jasper replied to morganbike's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Morgan bike, I beleive that if you are prepared to do it then you should look at the Denmark, you may not be able to do it as much but the saying goes quality over quantity. The grasstrack scene is good however it does not teach our kids how to ride speedway, to the Danes it is second nature to ride speedway. I am very impressed with their set up and look on enviously. -

excellent news for Bomber and hopefully the bees as every time he makes a step up in the international arena we also see the benefits. He does really need to work on his gating, and hope he can get some decent backing. Cardiff will be an even better day..... -
British Selection For 2007
Sir Jasper replied to Gaz W's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
He however does not say that if offered he would turn it down, so your post and point is once again deemed irrelevant and pointless. -

British Selection For 2007
Sir Jasper replied to Gaz W's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Delusions of granduer I think not, you seem to be putting words in my mouth... I do think Scott will get in for next years series. I dont think he will become world champion, also it must be said I do not think he is 1/2 as bad as you seem to think he is. It must be said that I dont think the situation is going to bring the sport of speedway or the United Kingdom great amounts of shame as you seem to think it will. -

Were you one of those Tarnow fans? Some how I doubt it so your arguement in this case is irrelevant, but still that has not stopped you in the past. -

Perhaps the reading fan (who has probably watched Kolodziej) a few more times than yourself perhaps is in a better position to judge on that one -

I love the way when somebody points somethign to Sube he completly overlooks it or dismisses it..... makes you realise it is not worth arguing with somebody that likes to gloss over what the other is saying...... -
British Selection For 2007
Sir Jasper replied to Gaz W's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I am not combining averages or any such other thing, I am however looking at the one thing that counts, his overall position after completing the gp's. Scott now has failed to qualify on 3 sepearte occasions however what people do not remember was his injury ravaged season which was the first of those 3 seasons. So that makes it 2 out of 3 seasons where an injury has hampered his efforts. He is one of the best riders in the world whether anybody likes it or not and will surely be offered a place ny BSI in next years series whether anybody likes it or not. Plus they have the small matter of his "rivalry with Andersen. -

How can you claim Nicholls is not in the top 15 riders in the world, after he had finished well within that very criteria? -
British Selection For 2007
Sir Jasper replied to Gaz W's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think it will be Nicholls and Bomber, or perhaps the reason a certain rider was out at 5 am the morning before a gp was because he was informed of BSI's decision and was drowning his sorrows....... just idle speculation. -
Hefenbrock Wins National Title
Sir Jasper replied to Beowulf's topic in International World of Speedway
I dont thikn you can compare Hefenbrock and Smolinski for a start Smoli is year ahead in his british league career and has missed a lot of time through injuries. Heffenbrock's cause has not been helped by the fact Wolves tail is very long and he finds himself in the main body of the team. Both look good prospects but on Tuesdays showing I would say Smolinski is slightly ahead at the minute. -
Bydgoszcz Gp Chat Thread
Sir Jasper replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Nicholls would have had a fair chance of qualifying had he not missed a round, I believe this season has seen him make a step forward (after the WTC) and having his rivallry with Andersen has made him a better rider. However last night was frustrating watching him he has learnt to cut back but he should have stayed on the line when against Hancock. His final race was excellent but he made a slight mistake on the 2nd turn of lap 2 which meant he went out a little wide. I do believe he needs to take stock of his "team" I dont think Havelock is the man to have I also believe his equipment is not quite as good as the top top riders. Hopefully he will be back next year having had a look at himself and hopefully will be joined by Bomber. -
British Selection For 2007

Did'nt say he would not take the invite though, I think Nicholls has more than proved his worth this year and had it not been for an injury would more than likely be higher in the standings. -
Well Done Lindback

His rest has obviously done him some good.
