  1. If we can grab a bronze then that will be a job well done, and if Iversen and Bjerre dont perform quite so well then we may pinch a silver. To be honest I think this may well be one of the most open finals for a while as all teams are somewhat dependant on some riders who could be hit and miss.
  2. professional sports men should not be flagging before the event.......
  3. he had never lost that, he has just sorted his bikes out.
  4. tbh I dont think anybody doubted the potential he has, its just that until last night he had not ever performed well at Coventry. One thing though I did not like to see him drinking red bull before the start of the meeting, and would not like to see any rider do so. btw does Ed ride in Poland?
  5. Worst track at brandon for a long time, well done to the boys, some of the gates they made were excellent. Nicholls was fantastic, Swedes were very very lucky with the amount of stoppages when they were in poor positions. Well done to the gb boys
  6. Yep did well, he was very tense before the meeting and in his first race, however somebody should have told him that Lindback is also awful around Coventry. I noticed him watching races with Middlo and they were discussing which lines to ride as he seemed to want to ride mid track but by the end of the night was riding all rounds. Well done Ed.
  7. I dont think he is working there now however he certainly was during the 2005 season
  8. Hamill should be riding imo, especially around Coventry.
  9. Well as I said, as long as he has instructions on what to do it will be fine.
  10. Exactly that Trees, Being a Coventry fan I have seen the track become one of the best in the league over the past few seasons. I do not want it to become a slick borefest that Meredith used to prepare for us which led to Coventry being known as a gaters paradise. I for one enjoy exciting speedway and wish it to remain so at Brandon. As for the WTC, I am fully expecting a win thank you......
  11. I have decided not to bother, I can spend £33 and then add on some more for beers, or I can go down the pub and spend that £33 on beer. I may have still been tempted to go if the line up had been stronger.
  12. Thanks for that, Any particular reason why, and will the track preperation remain the same as it is a surface which suits most of our riders? I desperately do not want the track to go back to previous years of slickness....
  13. Quick question, who is doing the Coventry track tomorrow? Will it be the usual people (who know how to produce a decent track) or will it be a Meredith / Olsen slick borefest?
  14. Kennet has got to be a worry now especially as the round is at Coventry. I just wish Middlo had not picked his team out right and had waited to see if there is any improvement from Ed after the practice with the rest of the boys around Brandon.
  15. To be honest I would probably go for Kennet still. After all I do not think there is anybody else who would do a better job, Olly after all has not made a jump up to a 6 or 7 point average yet (although injuries did not help), Ed will surely have a chat with Bomber and Scotty and hopefully he was watching them and others race last night. I admit his form around Brandon is a big concern but aside from Allen who else could we pick, Screen perhaps? yes he may score more around Brandon but Ed or others will never get the chance to learn.
  16. I never thought he would be doing so well however I did not think he would disgrace himself, I did think that the bees stood to gain though, although each time he rides now the pressure is going to be on him.
  17. Personally that is the team I would have gone for, with Kennet getting the nod as he is younger
  18. Yes we had a thread about this after the first gp of this year.
  19. Agreed 771neil, our kids are so far behind or have traditionally come through grasstrack, which imo although is although better than nothing is not a patch on riding the amount of times other countries kids do. Another valid point often missed is that the kids usually have to race on tracks built for 500 cc bikes, which imo makes as much sense as sticking kids on a full size football pitch.
  20. Bless him, I love the way he gets up points the finger and motions as though he was knocked off while more than likely the ref is looking for the replay....
  21. Awesome night,Bomber was amazing, also a good performance from Nicholls, my throat and head is killing me...
