The best man won on the night. Tai has never been a good rider he is so up and down. Harris blames his equimpment and said the ref didnt let them go back to the pits to work on the bikes, well the ref did the right thing. When you come out you should be ready for racing even if there is a stoppage. Im glad Tai hasnt been choosen to rider agaist the Aussies and that they have gone for another rider. I also think Cook should get a look in he rode very well much better in my mind than Tai and Harris.

i have said for quite a long time now we need to change for the youngsters, but most people say no we dont. To build for the future we need to look at what we done years ago in Poland. The UK went to Poland and help them build the tracks and now they have some of the best track racing. What I also dont understand its not the riders that let the side down its how they work as a team and how some of the current team looks overweight to be on the speedway bike. The riders can race the bikes but dont seem to have the full package. What I have noticed over the years with u21 and international that the riders dont talk to each other. Look at this WC Woffy half the time on the Thursday meeting was have a laugh with the Aussies and have a drink with them when he should have been with his UK team lucky for him he did score well that night. But going back to the subject of what should England do rebuild is start again with a fresh on tracks and equipment and with youngsters get money behind them and work with them so 4 years down the lane we have a chance.

Kings Lynn World Cup 9 July
michaelcroucher replied to steve19620's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Great meeting last night. I think that the numbers last year was more because they had to turn people away as there was a big crowd and they had run out of tickets. The car parking was also a nightmare last year. But getting back to last night. The UK boys did well to begin with but seem to lose something half way into the meeting. I have never known a top British rider to have so many break downs and yes I am speaking about Harris. Woffy started off well but didn’t keep the momentum up, as he is also so inconsistent around Kings Lynn so I wasn’t surprised. Nicholls was the top person last for so many reasons. When the guys had a walk around the track before the meeting Nicholls was studying the track and corners when the other guys weren’t even looking. The other team’s worked well together and was all speaking about the track. Getting back to the UK lads. Daniel King was also good last night. One person who I thought was amazing last night and he wasn’t even racing was Ben Barker. He was in the crowd and was also speaking to the spectators. Not only he is good on the track he was a professional last night off the track. I can’t see us getting to the finial again which is a shame but I hope next year we can do it. -
Kings Lynn World Cup 9 July

Just an update to say that speedway is on. -
Ok i didnt know there was only 4 riders for this year for the World Cup. I still think we should have the youngsters ie 3 young guys and 1 rider who has international experience. I think that Nicholls is a much better rider than Harris and as he is not in the GP and he has been a rock as a rider for the UK. I can understand what people are saying about the other riders like Tai and Kennet and King but Tai has never been good at Kings Lynn he even said so himself that he doesn’t like the track, Kennet is so off form at the mo and King has been there before. If you look at the other teams coming up with their young ones we are still going to be behind when we come to this championship again over the next few years. I can see Australia has some top international riders and also there under 21 look solid and the way they are going the u21 they will probably be the next team in a few years to come. Poland are solid as well with the young brothers coming up, can’t think of their name at the mo yet. I can’t see us ever winning the World cup if the country doesn’t do something for now for the future. Lets bring on the young ones and work with them so somewhere down the line in 3 years or there about we might have a chance. On Sun at the u21 World Cup it showed that as a team they just was not good enough, inexperience comes to my head,b ut with a little bit of hard work they can get there. I was watching the riders from the coutries in the pits and was shock on the attitude compare to the UK lads.

Went to the U21 World cup at Lakeside yesterday and Australia and Denmark was outstanding. Anyway I was starting to think about the World cup coming up at Kings Lynn and who should be picked. As a nation should we start building the team with the youngsters like Denmark and other countries do. So for this year World Cup I think the team should be Scott Nicholls Ben Barker Josh Auty Adam Royton Lewis Bridger I know a lot of people are probably saying this guy is mad and where are the likes of Tai Woffinden, Chris Harris, Edward Kennett, Simon Stead,Daniel King. Lets start with Tai never has done well around Kings Lynn and not a top rider when it comes to his country. Chris, Chris is a great rider in the EL but with GP he hasnt been on the pace. Edward, Like him a lot always trying but doesn't really have it. I know im going to get replys with you stuipd etc but work with the youngerts now and maybe in 3 yrs time they would be ready for Gold. I know Scott is not young but he has always been great for UK and he can help with the youngters. PS it was good to see Andy Grahmme in the Pits tonight helpping Adam.

Im getting a bit pissed off with comments at the mo sorry moments with regards to spelling and sarcastic comments. I really wanted to help with a website for people to have the information in one place and not having people trying to find out details all over the place with results and fixtures and teams, etc. I did put the website will be up with in 48hrs because that is what I was told by the company I have used to make the website live. If anybody knows about websites and how they work you will know what I mean. The website is amateurspeedway.co.uk, I hope the website does go live with in the time I have said. But as from now I will not comment on this part of the forum again which is a shame. I would like to say thank you to the people that have supported my comments and the kind words about the website and other comments when they have stuck up for me. For all the people that wanted to knock me down or say anything bad about me you can now I really dont care what people think and say anymore. Good bye to the nice people and for the rest of you well ................ -

I wished I hadn’t started this website. It has caused a few problems. I would just to like say I have had quite a bit of grief from people to get this ready. It is a new website and a new league, apart from Midlands. It has been hard work and I wish people would be supportive rather than negative on the small little details. I can understand if the spelling is not right on the website and things details are not right on the website but to complain about it on a forum where I type fast and don’t check the spelling is rather annoying for me when someone says can you get the spelling right can you get this right and that right. There are quite a lot of bad grammar and spelling on the forum and I don’t point it out. I wish people would just get over it. I am not making any money on doing this and it does cost to run a website. I thought it would be a good idea but now I just don’t know now. -

i might have an area of history in the website so please all info will be great. The section on the website will be Anglian League, Midlands Dev League, Northern Junior League. Photos, videos and Links. Under the sections will be team line ups, News, Fix & Res, League Table. I have plans as the season goes on or next year. I am doing this in my own time and it all takes time so thats why i hope to have it ready for April. The other reason its taking time is beacuse trying to find out info about whats going on its quite hard. I think come next year it will be so much better as this year its all new. -
