Its called "looking thru green, red & white glasses" Steve I remember when it was confirmed that Dudley Wood was to go how the SS was full of letters from spoon fans stating how the sport would not survive without them, they were the Man Utd of speedway etc. Yet here we are 16 years later with a live Monday night spot every week, live Grand Prix's, & the odd live Premier League meeting, Pairs & Individual meeting being shown. Yes Cradley were a great team, but glamour club Wimbledon & Belle Vue at the old Hyde Road with the Zoo, fair and gardens were much bigger, and we have survived the loss of those as well

Loved this meeting at Dudley Wood ... I remember when Sam Ermolenko won it 2 years on the trot & could not defend it the following year. The spoon fans by us on the back straight were giving it to us large ... and then the meeting was won by .... Peter Karlsson It went very quiet after that

Must be honest I have been watching Polish speedway for quite a while now & do not see what all the fuss is about. Certainly the racing is no better than the Elite League with huge winning distances more the norm than the exception. All the tracks seem the same as well ... big and fast, no variation ... but hey each to his own
