  1. Both Sam & Ronnie were excellent starters & very fast when in front, Peter & Chris could not gate for toffee ... & by the time they had got round the first bend Sam & Ronnie would just be a dot on the horizon .... as for Phil & Alan, now I KNOW your having a giraffe
  2. Sudden Sam Ermolenko & Rocket Ronnie Correy .... they would take PC & Mort any day of the week Peter Karlsson & Mikael Karlsson around Monmore were untouchable 95% of the time ... the other 5% they had ef Hans Nielsen & Edgar Stangelands bike ... I am sure when Hans first came over he used to fake ef so he could borrow it for important races But the best pairing of all Sophie Blake & Charlie Webster in a paddling pool full of jelly
  3. Who knows there might even be someone in it you have heard of
  4. Nearly as good as seeing Charlie Webster bending over to pick her pencil up
  5. All this Poole/Coventry battle makes me laugh ... as Peter Adams said last season when questioned on why Pirates were so well supported "have you never been to poole then, theres nothing else to do" ... must admit having holidayed there once I have to agree Its like when you go somewhere crap and end up doing things you never would because its that or sit around playing cards all day
  6. Yep with all its glory of Uncle Bobs doctoring etc ... better than a four lap drag race anyday ... Brandon is better than 95% of Polish and Swedish tracks
  7. Well after all that passing and exciting racing I am gonna have to go have a lie down .... roll on tomorrow night for some "proper" speedway on a thinking mans track
  8. No just the top meeting providers for speedway riders ... so many they cannot fit them all in
  9. Yeah ... you know the lots of different shapes and sizes where you dont just have to wind it on and hold on for dear life ... you know the ones where you have to use your "brains" Yeah proper speedway as you call it ... variation the spice of life
  10. Total load of bollox ... seen one Polish speedway track seen em all
  11. Why would that be then .... looked at the prem and it sure seems that way ???
  12. £20.00 to watch a load of has beens, wanna be's & never will be's ... Dick Turpin rides again
  13. Full line up from BSPA website ..... 1. Guest 2. Rider Replacement 3. Banned Rider 4. Poole fiddled average rider 5. Premier League Replacement 6. Double Upper 7. Coventry Rider or we quit 8. Panthers rider or we quit 9. No Panthers or Coventry rider or we quit (submitted by poole) 10.Emil Sayfutdinov (making a rare appearance in this country) 11.Stayed down to get a rerun 12.National League Replacement 13.Polish Commitment 14.Swedish Commitment 15.Staying in washing my hair 16.Cannnot be arsed Eastenders is on Line-up subject to change at the last minute due to unforseen excuse 11.
  14. Were you there the night they had to carry him off the track after he was excluded in the 16 lapper .... took about 5 big blokes to get a 5ft nowt skinny runt off the circuit ... hilarious
  15. Cannot see what all the fuss is about .. we always end up with some crap riders in the GP anyway, whether they qualified or not. Quite simple really we ARE a major sppedway nation ... we offer more meetings than anywhere else in Europe so we get treated like one. If we want a rider in the GP we WILL get one ... the way of the world and nobody is gonna change it. Nice to see Janus doing so well after all the hysteria of him MUST getting a place this year ... another overated Pole who just aint up to the task in hand
  16. Greatest USA rider ever  Hate to say it but Penhall was the best ever ... and if he had rode on would have at least 5 championships by now ... based on British Speedway that title belongs to Sam Ermolenko ... but yes Grin is a fantastic rider ( just dont get carried away)
  17. First and foremost well done Grin on your second title, the best rider this year by a distance However I do find it disturbing that the last 2 champions have been in there 40's ... maybe Sudden Sam retired too early
  18. Was there the night Gary died after entering the third bend and being challenged by Alan Grahame and being thrown into a lamp standard. The track was treacherous due to rain and the meeting could so easily have been called off. Gary never quite acheived what he could have due to a lack of self belief .. he was a massive freind of Ole Olsen's whos dash across the centre green to his fallen buddy will stick in my mind forever as he tried to get the ambulance to get on the track very quickly. The silence as his death was annouced by a choking presenter was incredible "I am sorry to inform you that Gary has failed to make it, could you all please leave the stadium quietly" .. my saddest night in 43yrs of watching speedway. RIP Gary ... we will never forget you at Wolves
  19. I hear Hampel has put a bounty out on Greg in Poland & Sweden ... first rider to nobble him get it .. & he might even throw in a Mars Bar & a Yorkie
  20. Well that was as predictable as Poole making a balls up of the playoff final Thanks for the links and company .. much appreciated
  21. Adam STILL has not worked out they are gonna pass him on the inside if he continues with that line
  22. Great move he just could not get the bike round Where would we be without duct tape .. my sex life would suffer for sure
  23. Move more than 5ft off the inside and you dead meat ... a Polish track with no grip on the outside whatever next
