Apart from the legendary 'blunsdonite' Mike Keen have their ever been any riders from the past with my surname? A fan once said to me that their was a good grasstracker back in the 60's called keen but he could not recall if he tried his hand at shale shifting. Any info would be most welcome. TA.

many years ago the bspa of the late 80's decreed that all bl teams had to have a 3.oo point junior at reserve.. ...........hey remember that? However reason for my call is (and im sure ive got the name rite) Rob Fortune was Swindons old '3.00 pointer and while he was no superstar he was most likeable and i was just wondering how he is. When i first started going to speedway one of the unsung hero's of Swindon was Geoff bouchard. If memory serves his career was cut short by injury. Anybody know how he's doing?

My best memories of long eaton were when i visited when glasgow were in town and a sertain tigers fan lost his tooth!! Sorry fred....... ... And finally the very excitable @gerald short fan who quite literally had to have 'gas and air' and that was on the warm up lap!!! Finally i remember a little tune the Tigers sang about a sertain LE rider it went something like 'HE'S FAT, HE'S ROUND' 'HE BOUNCES ALONG THE GROUND' Im to much of a nice guyto say the riders name though.

Basing this team purely on when i attended this swindon team would take some beating. 1.Ashby 2.kilby 3.crump 4.autrey 5.briggs 6.broadbank 7.anderson. Not bad eh? ahh those were the days

I loved the visits to Halifax back in the 80's and as mentioned the clubhouse would always be open and welcoming. As a regular watcher of rugby league im also amazed at how the Shay has changed And yes for the record i still miss king Kenny

Please dont get me started about Polish riders, just ask any long standing 'Blunsdonite' about the 2 poles who came along and sadly failed to live up to expectations. Namely mr Raba and trezkowski (dodgy spelling i know) however Ed jancarz was a class act.

Okay gang here's a question for you all......am i brave or what!! Think back over the length of time you've all been fans of the shale and name the one rider (in your opinion) who was regarded as a great signing, arrived with loads of publicity and well ...........................sunk without trace!!
