It's also very noticeable that must of the people who are expressing their opinion are people who aren't going at the moment for various reasons. -

For me it depends when Rosen is fit enough to return. However with the points available I would drop Neilsen and bring in a rider for him( that is if one's available). That would mean Henry would drop to reserve. -

Personally I think Josh will score more than Stead would have. -

If Lewis Kerr isn't quite ready what about Kyle Newman as a guest? Also will probably need a guest for Anton or Steve and R/R for the other. Pity he's riding in the world U21s as Jack Holder would have been a good choice. -

Didn't think Masters done anything wrong either. Always gonna struggle when operating R/R and then 1 or 2 have an off night. -
It is of course your prerogative to go or not likewise other people's. As I have stated in a previous post 2 and a half hours is totally unacceptable and I for one would probably done the same as Arson Fire and left. Genuine question here who exactly is responsible for the time it takes to run a meeting? It's it the promotion is it the referee or a combination? As for keeping families interested at a cost my wife and I have ran the mascot scheme for the last few seasons where they get their photograph taken with a rider of their choice then lead the team out.

I know exactly how often they are in schools etc as that's how I got to know Jeanette and the work she does with the community and the excellent hoops for health program. I have also been part of the YHN A2B scheme but I repeat what I said earlier in my opinion it's an unfair comparison. You also state they are in schools every day but speedway riders also have a day job. Do you think it's fair to ask them to give up a day's pay? Would you? As for keeping things interesting for the kids it all comes at a cost.

I myself also haven't been this season, but for very different reasons. I used to go and watch the Newcastle Eagles every week and the reason they get the crowds they do( don't think it's 2000-3000 mind) isn't down to promoting its down to sponsorship. The Eagles have several large backers eg Northumbrian Water, Esh group and Your Homes Newcastle to name three. This enables them to offer discounted admission for as little as £7. I have also been to their end of season dance which is packed to the rafters all at £50 a pop. So to compare the Diamonds to the Eagles isn't a fair comparison in my opinion. I would also like to respond to the "Then it's time the promoters got off their high horse and actually get out there and promote" I can tell you that the amount of work that goes into promoting the sport is quite substantial. I know for a fact that they are constantly trying to get new people involved and have tried quite a few ways of promoting the sport. I would also suggest if anyone has any new ideas the promotion would be very willing to hear them. As for the length of time a meeting runs I totally agree that two and a half hours is unacceptable but why doesn't the referee give them a hurry up?

I believe it will be Lewis Kerr.

Considering what was said regarding attendances and financial affairs probably the best team the promotion could put together.

Indeed I am Arson and will continue to be,but really having a go for the fixtures not being put on the website is a bit much even for an old moaner like me. Now if you talk to me about the team or how many people are in the pits on race nights and I'll be full on moaning.
-
To be honest with you I'm not too concerned with what you did or didn't do. I just don't think it helps any speedway club when people are always finding something to moan about. Like someone suggested earlier if you really wanted to sort holidays etc you could easily have done it via the BSPA website.
-
Wow how the hell can you be pretty sur they all have full time jobs? Instead of griping on here why not offer to lend a hand with updating the website then you will be one of the first to know.
-
Unbelievable. Seems some people can't wait to have a go for any reason. Like people have suggested, maybe just maybe the PEOPLE who update the website may possibly be earning a crust.

I think the situation at Somerset could have a domino effect on other teams, but I'm not quite sure Newcastle. I'm sure that I read somewhere that he was in negotiations with a team in Poland. That said the season just gone he didn't ride that much in Poland.
-
Nielsen didn't do to bad last season,so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if he signed.

Got it in 1 Keith

With a change to the points scoring for home wins to 3 points for any home win I think it's better to track riders who know their way around Brough. Also 95% of fans only watch the team at home. I do however acknowledge the fact it's also vital to win away from home if we are to win silverware a suitable balance must be found. All the riders mentioned above all score well at Brough and are more than capable of chipping in with decent away scores. One thing I will say is if we do sign Ludvig give the lad a chance by not putting him in the number five jacket and a difficult heat thirteen.
-
I think every Newcastle supporter will be pleased with Rose and Kerr. Hopefully the two Lewis's will be injury free in 2015.
-
Hopefully the announcement of Lewis Kerr will reassure the fans that the promotion are putting together a decent team that will hopefully injury free be challenging for silverware. Also agree with Tsunami that it's better not to risk financial ruin by offering more than the club can afford.
-
Really? Outside money then maybe Edbergs father? Oh wait he hasn't signed yet
-
Lindgrens and Rosen are Not Danes

Wouldn't sign Barker myself too expensive. On the subject of the Worralls I think I read somewhere that Richie is still wanting to ride in Poland. Another rider I would love to return is Kyle Newman but the travelling would possibly rule that out.So I guess it's a case of wait and see and hope it's not too long before we here something.
