Aarnio at reserve wouldn't give people the number 1 people are shouting out for unless they go with a top three similar to last season. Already got Steve 8.08 Ludvig 7.05 Tero 5.28 add in the 3 pointer brings the total to 23.41 leaving 19.09 (unless anyone's eligible for a reduction).

Can't argue with that Bandits4eva,would have loved Liam at Newcastle.

No Karaoke at Christmas disco so you can rule that out haha

Christian himself confirmed he needed to concentrate on getting healthy.

Not Christian.

I think if Ludvig starts 3rd in the averages( that's if he's being considered) and away from the number 1 or 3 bib I think he could surprise quite a few. No mention of Kerr,Rosen,Rose and Nielsen other that they couldn't make the dinner dance. Think it was said Rose was working in Ireland, Kerr had been to some motorsport event and with Jessie now heavily pregnant didn't make the journey. Nielsen and Rosen sent their apologies also.

Lots of rumours circulating last night and if two of the names mentioned do come then the Diamonds will be very competitive.
-
Ok another try K Bjerre S Worrall L Lindgren L Kerr A Rosen L Rose L Carr
-
What about S Worrall L Lindgren K Newman R Worrall A Rosen T Aarnio L Carr Would start with a strong reserve and would in theory have a strong reserve all season.
-
Start with the Worralls I think we all agree on that. After that it all depends on what the points limit is on team building. I also agree that Aarnio deserves a team place. A fully fit Lewis Rose would also be in my team.

Mike Ashley is gonna invest heavily in the Diamonds as he feels it's his only chance of silverware. -

Had a really enjoyable night last night. The racing was good and D J John brought a smile to a lot of people's faces. Ludvigs outside pass on Douglas was as good as any other I have seen at Brough. Hansen was good value as a guest and enjoyable to watch. I've read with interest over the last few weeks regarding crowd levels dropping. Yes of course it's worrying but people have a right wether they come or not and I'm not someone who will point a finger at the absent fans and say well it's gonna be your fault if we close. I can say however that that there is an awful amount of work being done to attract new people to Brough park. i agree that a successful team will encourage more people through the turnstiles, however it's a bit of a vicious circle as without the people coming week in week out it becomes harder to put together a team capable of challenging for silverware. Hopefully we can have a better end to the 2015 season. -
Newcastle V Sheffield Pl 12 Jul 15 6.30pm
MrP replied to StevePark's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sheffield were worthy winners of the meeting. A lot of people are getting more frustrated every passing week and I have to say I'm one of them. After Henry raced away with heat 1 in a time of 62.6 to then only get 1 more point is baffling, and not good enough really. His average now sits at just 5.07 so clearly not just last night. Rosen well everyone is still waiting for the Anton who joined us late in 2013, who was getting good scores and apart from once or twice since just looks like a different rider and 3+1 is again just not good enough. Then on to Nielsen. Why Simon was signed in the first place I just don't know. For the last few seasons we've had to sign a rider at reserve for whatever reason( injury,Strengthen) but we then go on to sign this rider for the following season, i.e Schramm,Mills and this season Nielsen. Why are they so loyal? According to the averages in the program we are 2.06 under average. Now I know crowds are down but they will only get worse if we keep losing at home. Is it not worth replacing Simon with someone coming in up to 5.88 meaning Henry could drop to reserve? I know finding riders isn't easy with us being a Sunday team etc. Hopefully we'll get back to winning ways this week. -
Nick I nah I'm a Hancock fan

Thanks for the reply HadrianDog and the apology.

Still waiting for an answer as to why it's Shame on me unless I'm reading your post wrong. Just to put the record straight I totally agree that there are many many people who without their hard work there would be no speedway.
-
Shame on me? How do you work that one out?
-
Totally agree with Gaz on the freeloaders, far too many people get in for nothing. There is also a small group of dedicated people who do everything and anything they can to help spread the word and try and encourage new people to come to Brough.

Newcastle V Sheffield League Cup Sunday 31st May 2015
MrP replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's not only at Newcastle that meetings drag on and I agree that 2 and a half hours to run a meeting isn't acceptable, but why doesn't the referee give people the hurry up? Yes this is a forum and like people say everyone is entitled to their opinion. I myself have only been to see the Diamonds three times this season but not because I didn't want to go it was because of health problems. I agree that it comes across as some people can see no wrong and support the promotion whatever, but it can also be said that certain people will find fault with everything. The crowd on Sunday was poor but there was the added attraction of the Magic Weekend. Speedway in general is struggling in this country and in my opinion needs major surgery if it is too survive, you just have to look at the farce from Monday evening. As for going to Berwick wow things must be bad.
