Please pick either Barret or Egberg.

Would not mind seeing him at Sheffield, trouble is with Rusty you never quite sure whether he will change his mind about riding halfway through the season.
-
Absolutely correct about the pairings of the team, Richard Hall rode at 4 all last season, and at home he was by long way our best rider at home yet he never feature in a heat 13 when we were coming up against some pretty formidable pairings. At the start of the season we had Sanchez riding the number 5 spot which is like Chelsea asking John Terry to play a lone strikers role. .

Scunthorpe Saints - Not Entering N L 2013 :(
spin king replied to bigred's topic in National League Speedway
This highlights a problem within the sport that different teams in the National League having differing agenda's. On the one hand you have clubs that are in it to train riders up for their Senior teams. And others that are in it to win league titles, and want the glory, and will pay good wages compared to the other clubs. I don't think that you can seriously call it a Development League any more. Its difficult to know what to do as you can see things from both sides, -
Keeping your options open there then.

I don't think that the weather played any part in why the crowds were down, right from the first meeting the crowds were poor. Tigerowl is correct in saying that the British Semi was called off due to an incorrect weather forecast and was called far to early, but to be fair the Sheffield Promotion are usually pretty good at getting that sort of thing right. I think the problem was that the team was not good enough simple as, people looked at the team and could not take many positives if any and the only ones that were turning up week in week out were the diehard fans, the others voted with their feet.

Some interesting comments from the Promotion and the future of the club. http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/speedway/speedway-tigers-future-in-doubt-1-5155300

Very sad news, explained here. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.18591.4&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=facebook -
The criticism I picked up on was in Speedway Star where the club ask Mason to change the date of his flight home so he could ride in the last meting for th club and refused. I must admit I did not see the social media stuff put out by the rider, but if he did then the best thing is to let them go. You would think that with the new promotion coming in they would be be looking to use some Danes.,

I would love to see Ricky Wells back at Sheffield in 2013 He started to put in some decent scores towards the end of the season, and he took a while to get dialled into the Sheffield track. He also had to ride the more difficult number 5 position as well.
-
Could be, but I thought that the Glasgow takeover had been completed before the Workington one so I am not sure whether that theory is true. One thing is certain the outgoing Promotion were very critical of Mason Campton.
-
I think some realise that they have just let the cat out of the bag.

Apologies been a long day.

Transfers are exceptionally rare in speedway these days, the only recent ones that I can recall were Danny King and Craig Cook. The only profit you will make on assets these days that don't ride for the club is rake in the loan fees, but I still think that the system is out of date and needs to be brought into line with other sports.
-
Totally agree the minute that Glasgow promotion allowed the BSPA defer it to the end of the season they allowed Berwick to sign him as an asset. I think that they really need to take a look at the asset situation is worked out, its far to complicated and too be honest out of date.
-
Okay, checked and does say that he was signed for the same club as Seb Alden Masarna, but checking all the Masarna fixtures Simon rode in none of the fixtures.
-
Workington are having a team of 7 riders on a points limit of 51 points according to some of their fans.
-
Funny how he has been riding for Swindon on Thursdays.
-
Not a bad call, but the big problem with Vissing is the amount of time he spends out injured and I also think that Somerset will be looking to keep him. Steady if he is going to ride in the Premier League is someone that the club has to look at getting. The one thing we like at Sheffield is a local lad, and they don't come much local than Steady. plus he is a leader I think he will be an excellent with young inexperienced riders. We are at a stage now like we were when Sean Wilson came to the club, and I am sure that Simon could have the same impact that Sean made up with club.
-
I think most Sheffield fans would agree with you.
-
Looking at the figures Adam Roynon Mason Campton Tero Aarnio fits just in the 42.5 limit.
-
Rusty Harrison would leave you with 13.43 for remaining 3 riders. Adam Roynon would leave 13.39 Stead I think you can rule him out his average 2.51 higher than Roynon's Ricky Wells would leave 13.99

No said they were waiting on what happened at Coference and talks with the Stadium owners.
-
I would not read too much into the retaining of three riders from last season. They have said that they were maybe looking to retain 3, and if they had retained 2 others why have they not announced it yet.
