  1. Some fair comment there, and looking at the other sport using the stadium they greyhounds meetings they only use the stadium Thursdays and Saturdays so perhaps I jumped the gun a little bit and maybe the idea is not such a bad idea. The one thing that they would not have a problem with is riders, with the likes of Patch and CVS been involved they will be wide selection of riders to choose from. The one thing that would really top things off is to get their own stadium and track in their own area, but I am sure that the people behind the scenes are working hard on that already. But one thing that is certain the name Dudley or as us who have been watching speedway remember them better as Cradley have so much history behind them and have to be given every opportunity to comeback.
  2. Don't really have a problem as such, if Dudley or like you say Cradley were to say come to the table and say this is a temporary situation until for a season or two then I would say go for it. There is no doubt that the support is there.
  3. If get a summer anything like we have had this year you have problems completing fixtures.
  4. I think you might find that Wolves like Sheffield and other actually rent the the stadium the track is there's.
  5. I am in no doubt that Dudley would be able to put a very good and entertaining team together and could be very successful. The big problem is that they don't have a track of their own and at present or permission to build their own track. I would say that if they were to get permission to build their own track and say the riding at Monmore Green was only planned for a year I would say it would be definite yes.
  6. Your entertaining I give you that, if your side next season is as entertaining Derwent Park should be packed..
  7. The hockey should read ice hockey, But also add to that you have 1 Rugby League Team 2 Rugby Union teams.
  8. And Jenga reckons Tungate is Worky bound as well.
  9. Would have love to see him ride for Sheffield but unfortunately he has signed for Scunthorpe again next season.
  10. Not sure where you have got your information, but should you putting out that sort of information without Ash's permission or knowledge, not that I am saying that the information is not true. In reference to his sponsors depends who you term his main sponsors are, I was making reference to Wossskow Brown who are a firm based in Sheffield.
  11. I very much doubt if that would be the case, but if the lad can steer clear of injuries I think that he could well be challenging for a number 1 slot be it Sheffield or another club.
  12. I really hope that statement is true, A rider I have reallly wanted to see in Sheffield colours for sometime now and one that I really do rate.
  13. Might be an idea just to test the water.
  14. The big problem that you may find with Saturday nights will be trying to attract riders, Eastbourne seem to have a similar problem. With Saturday GP nights and Poland on a Sunday.
  15. It is a massive bold move, there is no reason why they cannot use Saturday nights, but it would be advisable. I can see all the logistic reasons why they what to make the move, but I cannot help feel that it could all end in tears, I hope not and I wish them all the luck in the world.
  16. You could struggle to hold onto Sarj as he is a Coventry asset he could ride for for there National League team.
  17. Not too bad for me. one right and one nearly right.
  18. Don't think so Ricky Wells average; 6.47 Rusty Harrison; 7.04.
  19. Workington have always built attractive looking sides, and its a bit of a mystery to me why they have not won many honours over the years maybe next year could be the year of The Comet.
  20. Possibly the reason for thinking that Ashley might be hankering for a move to Sheffield is the fact that his main sponsors are Sheffield based and also team sponsors at Sheffield, so maybe that is where people might be getting the idea from. But if the lad did become available then I am sure or would hope that Sheffield might show an interest in the lad, he is still very popular with the Sheffield crowd and he is a good rider. But I would be very surprised if Scunny were to release him, and I am not holding out on any hopes of seeing Ashley in Sheffield colours next season.
  21. That would be a wicked top 5, but it would leave you very vulnerable at the bottom end, and even including Ashley Morris on 3 point average it leaves you with very few decent options out there, and any that last slot would be rider that you would have to gamble on.
  22. Would leave you with 3.82, and not may options. Klaus Jakobsen.
  23. You mean you don't actiually know who it is.
