  1. I think some realise that they have just let the cat out of the bag.
  2. Transfers are exceptionally rare in speedway these days, the only recent ones that I can recall were Danny King and Craig Cook. The only profit you will make on assets these days that don't ride for the club is rake in the loan fees, but I still think that the system is out of date and needs to be brought into line with other sports.
  3. Totally agree the minute that Glasgow promotion allowed the BSPA defer it to the end of the season they allowed Berwick to sign him as an asset. I think that they really need to take a look at the asset situation is worked out, its far to complicated and too be honest out of date.
  4. Okay, checked and does say that he was signed for the same club as Seb Alden Masarna, but checking all the Masarna fixtures Simon rode in none of the fixtures.
  5. Workington are having a team of 7 riders on a points limit of 51 points according to some of their fans.
  6. Funny how he has been riding for Swindon on Thursdays.
  7. Not a bad call, but the big problem with Vissing is the amount of time he spends out injured and I also think that Somerset will be looking to keep him. Steady if he is going to ride in the Premier League is someone that the club has to look at getting. The one thing we like at Sheffield is a local lad, and they don't come much local than Steady. plus he is a leader I think he will be an excellent with young inexperienced riders. We are at a stage now like we were when Sean Wilson came to the club, and I am sure that Simon could have the same impact that Sean made up with club.
  8. I think most Sheffield fans would agree with you.
  9. Looking at the figures Adam Roynon Mason Campton Tero Aarnio fits just in the 42.5 limit.
  10. Rusty Harrison would leave you with 13.43 for remaining 3 riders. Adam Roynon would leave 13.39 Stead I think you can rule him out his average 2.51 higher than Roynon's Ricky Wells would leave 13.99
  11. No said they were waiting on what happened at Coference and talks with the Stadium owners.
  12. I would not read too much into the retaining of three riders from last season. They have said that they were maybe looking to retain 3, and if they had retained 2 others why have they not announced it yet.
  13. Yeah no doubt about the potential of quite a few of these riders, but Len Silver seems to do this every year where by he puts out teams that way under the limit. I wonder if he suffers from discalcula.
  14. Well just looking at riders who might be available you could have a team of say (1) Simon Stead (2) Joe Haines (3) Tero Aarnio (4) Ricky Wells (5) Josh Grajczonek 6) Damien Koppe (7) Joe Jacobs/ Stefan Nielsen Plenty other riders that would fit the bill if none of these riders were available.
  15. I would not panic to much just yet, there are plenty of riders out there, lets just wait and see.
  16. Signing Simon Stead along with the other three riders would leave you with only 10.88 for your last three riders.
  17. A decent side. The one thing that springs to mind is that the team has a lot of potential. Is it a championship winning team? Not to sure of that, but they could well be there or there abouts.
  18. Don't get to excited Edinburgh won it last year.
  19. Some fair comment there, and looking at the other sport using the stadium they greyhounds meetings they only use the stadium Thursdays and Saturdays so perhaps I jumped the gun a little bit and maybe the idea is not such a bad idea. The one thing that they would not have a problem with is riders, with the likes of Patch and CVS been involved they will be wide selection of riders to choose from. The one thing that would really top things off is to get their own stadium and track in their own area, but I am sure that the people behind the scenes are working hard on that already. But one thing that is certain the name Dudley or as us who have been watching speedway remember them better as Cradley have so much history behind them and have to be given every opportunity to comeback.
  20. Don't really have a problem as such, if Dudley or like you say Cradley were to say come to the table and say this is a temporary situation until for a season or two then I would say go for it. There is no doubt that the support is there.
  21. If get a summer anything like we have had this year you have problems completing fixtures.
  22. I think you might find that Wolves like Sheffield and other actually rent the the stadium the track is there's.
  23. I am in no doubt that Dudley would be able to put a very good and entertaining team together and could be very successful. The big problem is that they don't have a track of their own and at present or permission to build their own track. I would say that if they were to get permission to build their own track and say the riding at Monmore Green was only planned for a year I would say it would be definite yes.
  24. Your entertaining I give you that, if your side next season is as entertaining Derwent Park should be packed..
