I would go come rain or shine, and even if they put out 7 Klaus Jakobsen's I love my speedway team and my speedway, but they don't have to convince me to come to meetings but I do worry that Sheffield speedway public will look a the team and maybe stay away. I just hope that we are not putting too much pressure on too many young lads, but I am starting to get really impatient for the season to get started and see what the team can do. As for the last rider I agree with Squall the two riders banging on the door are Poole and Nedermark, both are decent riders not too sure whether they are heatleader quality but could have the potential to make the break through. Of the 3 riders I would like to see the following take the last spot in this order. 1st Ricky Wells 2nd Taylor Poole 3rd Claes Nedermark Squall loving everything Scandinavian, would probably go for Nedermark, but I would rather go with Wells as I think that there is unfinished business with him and I think he could establish himself as a genuine heatleader.
-
Depends on whether or not they planned to use Ricky. I just wonder how it would effect their plans at Wolves if Ricky Wells was to be used on a full time basis. Don't think Wolves really think that he is average, they have been talking about buying him from Coventry.
-
The report in the local paper has not said when Ricky Wells has too make his mind up. There are implication for Wolves if Wells does not sign for Sheffield, so maybe Wolves may be tempted to give Wells an incentive to sign for Sheffield say some sort of cash incentive. My view is that Wells will be back at Sheffield by the couple of days, my guess Thursday there will be an announcement Wells or no Wells.
-
Well if he is the know we should be expecting Ricky Wells to sign for Sheffield. After all he did say if Ricky did not sign then the Chris Schramm would be the rider that would be signed.
-
The one thing you could never fault Schrammy was effort, he is the type of rider who can look you in face and tell you honestly that he has done the best he can. But the machinery let him down badly last season, and I would say some investment is not enough he would need a massive investment.
-
We have had Wolverhampton before maybe them, still think Belle Vue would be a better draw and liable to bring a few fans with them.
-
I think Belle Vue will make good team to race for the first meeting. I think with them been an Elite League team people won't take a defeat too seriously.
-
I think that they have done an incredible job, but like you say their PR at times does let them down. I just hope that they have not done things on a promise that has failed to materialize.
-
Can they really afford to run without a sponsor though, having slashed admission prices they are going to have to get more people through the gates to get that money back, without a sponsor it will be doubly more difficult.
-
I think he is I think he is unlikely to ride in this country this season.
-
Possible, but I just don't see him fitting into the Sheffield budget requirements and I think without an Elite place he will prove to be too expensive for Sheffield.
-
Ben Wilson is a viable option. The only worry for me is that he has been out a year and wonder if he still has it in him. But he would come in with an average of 6.10, which is 1.89 under the limit, and if the lads who are assessed averages struggle we could look at really bringing some riders to replace them with lots of points to play around with. That is not the Sheffield way of doing things, but I think that they might have to change their mindset and look at the way clubs like Edinburgh have been successful in the past doing this sort of thing in the past.

Bonuses???
-
My guess is that Wells will sign sometime next week.
-
Thanks for that, thought I had read it somewhere.
-
Sure I have read that Nedermark was based in Darlington last season, maybe Abbot or Tsunami could either conform this one way or another. He could be option finished the season like a steam train.
-
Later start to the season than usual, then. Have to agree do sometimes wonder.
-
Was going to say something along similar lines.

You mean go over and tap him on the shoulder and say. " Richard you performances away from Sheffield are crap." Dave Hoggart said in the Sheffield Star. Said co-promoter David Hoggart: “We’re pleased to have Richard back. He is a crowd favourite and will certainly add to the excitement levels at home. “Richard knows he has to up his game on away circuits and that’s his main target. He’s certainly spectacular to watch and that’s what we want from the team this time around.” Looks like the Promotion have already told him what I wanted or could have to say about him.
-
I think that the Promotion is taking a massive gamble with three assessed riders, not very often that riders actually manage to equal or better their assessed average, but has been done so you never know. The big problem is that unlike you, me and SKJ and a few others that will turn up and support the team week in week out, win, lose or draw won't come if they feel the side is not one that is going to challenge for honours. And there lies the problem with the likes of Albin and Koppe they have just never heard of these guys and know very little about them, if anything. But we saw Albin have a spin around Sheffield last season and he had a very exciting riding style, reminds me a helluva lot of Kyle Legault when he first came to Sheffield, and reports say that he has made some big investments in his equipment. Damien Koppe is a rider that I have follow quite a bit over the years, I have watched clips on you tube and I actually suspect that he might be better than people give him credit. The one thing that they have always done at Sheffield is given riders a chance and plenty of time where others would have dropped them at the drop of a hat, this kind of thinking might have to change this season, and I think that Jake Knight could be an early casualty if they do. But we now have the number 1 that should score decent points and win races on a regular basis home and away in Simon Stead, and Joe Haines will in my opinion continue to get back to where he was a few years ago at Kings Lynn before he got injured, and Richard Hall will be Richard Hall capable at home and produce the goods occasionally away from home. The last signing has to be a good one, Wells and North the two names touted at the moment, both have plenty of potential and could put points on their averages. Or could it be a surprise rider to complete the line up, the Sheffield Promotion have a habit of making the last signing one that takes everybody by surprise. But will be an interesting season for us at Sheffield, and I am actually looking forward to it. .

We get to use a quality Guest Rider.
-
Very similar to the Twitter message. I think it is hard to try and read through the lines of what he is saying because he says Europe rather than Britain. Could it be he waiting to announce signing for a team in another country. I don't know, but I just don't see Dakota North riding at Sheffield, next season. .
-
Looking at his twitter accounts he has said that he has sorted his riding for Europe, and that is all it says. In saying that I have a feeling that he will go full time Elite next season.
-
Looks like Richard Hall will be the next Sheffield signing. http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/speedway/sheffield-tigers-simon-can-stead-y-ship-1-5291807

If We have signed Dakota North I would prefer North/ Wells But if we have I think it will be more likely be. North/ Hall.
