I would be surprised not see Lewis Kerr at Sheffield next. Both rider and club have been complimentary of each other. If there is no Kerr then Dimitri Berge in his place instead. For the young Brit I would go with Dan Gilkes .
-
I would imagine the first signing will be Justin Sedgmen. The club Promoters seem to like him and he likes them. As for Pickering the ship sailed when Edinburgh announced that they would be running next season. If it was me I would be looking riders who are Leicester this season and try for those riders. Kyle Howarth and Connor Mountain are two riders that I would be looking at.

I think that you will find that those of us that flagged Musielak as a rider to watch, did so with the fact of how much that he could potentially put on from his starting average of 6:21. If my memory serves me well myself and other predicted that he could potentially put on a point to point and half on his average. He surpassed those expectations with a figure of 7:91, increasing his average by 1:70. If Ipswich want to be successful next season and want to have Jason Doyle in their team they need to find a rider that is going to replicate Musielak's improvement this season.

You got it really bad. Good Luck in Pairs, yours to win.

League Cup Final Sheffield v Kings Lynn
spin king replied to RS50's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I thought the same, and I having been expecting that been the date set for the 2nd leg. If that is not the case and the 2nd leg is not ridden then I think that the Kings Lynn should be awarded the trophy. -
A lot will depend upon what the points limit will be. I would look to bringing back Lewis Kerr, could be a matchwinner if we can fit him at reserve. As for the rest I think Jack Holder will admit he has not had a great season not just at Sheffield but Torun as well, but he has a pretty low average and I would keep him. Tobiasz Musielak I would have him back in a heartbeat, but I think that a lot will depend what happens to him in Poland. Adam Ellis a bit like Jack Holder not had his best season, but I think that still has something to offer the club. Kyle Howarth for me the jury is out, and maybe a season away from the club might benefit the club and Kyle. Justin Sedgmen finished the season strong but overall I would let him go. Connor Mountain a lot will depend on what happens regarding the Rising Star Programme, rumour has it that there will be no Rising Star next season, and unsure where he stands regarding the programme but would have him back.

Sometimes a change of scenery for rider can do the trick. At Sheffield he has Steady as his Team Manager, who has worked hard with Lewis on his riding, and the one thing Promotion at Sheffield have been please with Lewis is the fact he has took the advice given and acted on it. Not something that the Estate Agent could do at Kings Lynn.

Happy, but not surprised by the result. We not a bad side away from home this season. So far this season in the League, League Cup and Play Offs, away from this season we have this record. Belle Vue; won 1 lost 3 Ipswich: won 1 lost 1 Kings Lynn won 3 lost 0 Peterborough; won 1 drawn 1 (lost on golden Heat) Wolves; won 2 lost 2 Only Wolves have won at Sheffield this season, so we looks like barring any disasters looks like the silverware is coming to us. Also looks like the 3 best teams in the league will be picking up the silverware this season. Belle Vue; League Champions Sheffield; League Cup winners Ipswich; Pairs

Should be an interesting meeting, I would agree that the Stars need a 10 plus lead back to Sheffield. But since returning back to the top league we have good record at Kings Lynn. Won 3, Drawn 1 Lost 0 We also have a couple of Ex Stars riders who want to put one over the Stars. For me this is our best chance this season to get some silverware, and to be honest if we fail this time I will be very disappointed.

No Jordan Palin in the side then.

Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
spin king replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Congratulations to Belle Vue in winning the Play Off Final. The atmosphere on the night was electric, and credit has to be given to the Aces supporters who turned out in numbers. Its a pity the camera's did not capture the atmosphere, as I can tell you the atmosphere was there. The Aces supporters celebrated Polish style with smoke bombs and flares, which I did not mind apart from the smell, which smelt like dog rubbish. The referee decisions were in my opinion mostly correct after looking at the replays on the phone. I think Belle Vue came into the meeting to simply defend the 12 point lead and frustrate the Tigers, and we were chasing the in the meeting all night. But cannot fault our riders who put in 100% effort, but the Aces were just to good for us over the two legged final, and the signing of Robert Lambert as I suspected swung the advantage to Belle Vue. We now move onto the League Cup Final as consolation winning silverware against Kings Lynn so we are still in with a chance of winning something. Finally for me the Play Off's should stay, the tension and excitement that they create means they should stay.- 586 replies

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
spin king replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And in a recent No Breaks No Fear Podcast, Bates stated that there would be more than likely 6 teams in the Premier League. Could a team from Premier League be dropping down into the Championship. Interesting that Leicester are moving up a club owned by Bates, could it be that Leicester are replacing Sheffield in the Premier League with Sheffield moving back down to the Championship. -
Belle Vue -V Sheffield POF leg 1 Monday 10th Oct
spin king replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Putting aside the who signed who lets look a the last times the teams rode each other at each others tracks Belle Vue 5th September Belle Vue 54 Sheffield 36 Belle Vue had their full 1 to 7. Sheffield Klindt replaced Musielak and scored 12 points from 6 rides. Sheffield 22nd September Sheffield 57 Belle Vue 33 Sheffield had their full 1 to 7 Belle Vue had Rider Replacement Fricke and the team scored 6 points from the Rider Replacement rides. Overall Aggregate Scores; Sheffield 93 Belle Vue 87. Although Sheffield won those meetings on aggregate, I cannot see Musielak matching Klindt scores, and Lambert will score more than double the Rider Replacement score at Sheffield. For me Belle Vue are rank favourites. -

For me Belle Vue start as rank favourites, and the Play Off Finals could be won by heat 10. The signing of Robert Lambert number 4 in the world gives Belle Vue a massive advantage, they already had a decent side already either with Fricke or Rider Replacement. Bringing in Lambert who has fallen into Belle Vue's lap is a Masterstroke, is it cheating? I don't think so. Will it make for a better more exciting Final? I don't think so. To start quoting Lambert's record and the fact that he has not rode Sheffield for a number years is bull crap, he is the World Number 4 for a reason. Sheffield are new to the top league, and in our 2nd season we have made the Final, on step further than last season so the club is progressing. -
Sheffield v Wolves 06.19.22 PO semi second leg
spin king replied to Cue Ball's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They say that reserves win you matches. The present Sheffield reserve pairing at home have rode together 6 times this season. Only one occasion has the opposition pairing have outscored them, interesting the only team to do was Peterborough. Those that have failed were; Belle Vue Kings Lynn twice Wolves Ipswich. Would have preferred the camera's not been at the meeting as it tends to be a longer night than usual. But I think that we will have too much for the Wolves , but it will be close. -
Klindt was signed before the transfer window, and has made some appearances for Kings Lynn. He is on decent average and is a decent replacement for Fricke. Whether its Fricke, Klindt or Lambert Belle Vue should have enough strength in depth to get their first League title in a number of years. Why are you panicking.

Good win for the Aces last night, and would imagine that they should make the Play Off Final, as there home performances having and I would say that they are the team to beat. Ipswich team totally capitulated last night and face what looks like an impossible task of pulling off the aggregated win. But they look like they will win the Pairs, which will just reward for Jason Doyle who has been the standout rider in the League.

Totally different. Greyhound With Greyhound, you don't need much to get your dog into the stadium. Park the car away from the stadium, stick a lead on your dog and walk into the stadium. Same for the staff. Spectators who attend afternoon meetings is very small they would quite easily arrive on foot. Speedway How do you get 14 riders, bikes, mechanics and tools into stadium. What about the spares van, how does he get into the stadium. A large number of fans would be coming in cars, where are they going to park. Parking on the roads around the stadium is limited.
-
The road as at present is closed in both directions about a quarter of a mile from both directions of the stadium. The road Penistone Road that the stadium situated is a main road into Sheffield and travelling in Sheffield today especially those of us live in the Sheffield 6 area as is the stadium has been a nightmare whether its by car or bus. There is a good reasons why police shut the road of nature, the last thing they need is large number of cars coming in and out of a stadium. On this occasions I think everyone has to accept that the reasons for cancelling the meeting are out of the control of the promotion.

Period of mourning. No sport activities.
spin king replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Why? The Official Announcement came out at around 06:30pm. The meetings were due to start at 07:30pm, most or many would have already set off for the meeting, so would caused a lot of inconvenience. If the announcement was made 3 or 4 hours earlier then maybe I would say cancel the meeting fair enough.
