  1. I wonder if Screeny has heard about the chicken wraps that they sell in the cafe on Thursday.
  2. Even Biker FM presenters Griff and Scott joining in the guessing game as to who the Sheffield mystery rider is.
  3. And Good Luck to lad if that is the case and we move on. End of the day it was an option that we had to sign him, and according to the Swindon Promotion he asked to ride for Sheffield.
  4. Looks like we have Good News coming our way soon.
  5. To be fair I think that fans of the club have been pretty patient, and I think that Dave Hoggart and the unnamed consortium recognise that. The main problem appears to be all the legal problems, but fans have been told that this should be sorted very soon. Like I have said there are still riders out there for the new promotion to go for that would make up an exciting team. The league this year looks as good as ever with every team been pretty even with the exception of the two stand out teams for me Scunny and Workington. Two ways the team build ing can go; (1) Bring in Nick Morris who appears to want to ride for club and would give us not only a powerful top three but one that would excite and entertain the fans. or (2) Build a team around Simon Stead and more depth to it. Either way I think that we could still be in with a chance of a play off place with the other 10 teams chasing Scunny and Workington.
  6. Maybe but his Girlfriend lives in Chesterfield, so I would guess that he is going to be living with her, and Sheffield is closer to Chesterfield than Manchester, don't forget he is asking for a Sheffield based mechanic, he has not stated that he is living in Sheffield.
  7. Yeah with Belle Vue looking for a rider of 3.13 and not a doubling up rider Mr Palm Toft could be signing for Belle Vue.
  8. Don't Quote me but I think it was yesterday.
  9. The idea is a good one, but the problem is the strength of the top 5. For instance to get Andre at reserve and to get strong effective heatleader you would be looking at two second strings between the averages of 5 and around 5.50. The problem there is that those types of rider are not available or you are looking at assessed riders and to be frank we went down that line last season, and I don't think that we really want to go down that line again. Having Andre at 2nd string and 2 3 point riders I think you have better options for an example. Nick Morris and Dakota North. or Nico Covatti and Leigh Lanham.
  10. I would more than welcome the lad back, and I think that the majority of fnns would. But I suppose its if the numbers fit, and the Promotion have sent out an appeal for accommodation for lad nearer to Sheffield. There seemed to be quite a few if and buts to whether or not he would be asked back.
  11. I probably been a bit picky here but would they be better re naming the meeting. Christmas Cracker in February don't sound right.
  12. I would not be against having both Damo and Facu at reserve although I get the feeling Facu might not be back. If we were to have Damien another 3 point reserve plus Andre in the side, would leave us with 15 points for the last two riders.
  13. Quite possible. I don' think that we will see Andre at reserve (that is if he is signed), looking at what riders are left and the way the team is shaping up.
  14. Quote in the Speedway Star is that two riders will be announced this week. If this is true then I would guess that there will be announcement Wednesday/Thursday.
  15. Something I did talk about when it became obvious that Nick Morris was looking for a Premier League track.
  16. I honestly think that the matter has been blown out of all proportions. Nick Morris is desperate for Premier League place and Sheffield have one. The fact that he has an Elite average of 5.90 and Premier of 8.84, the chances are that he would pick up an Elite League place quicker than an Premier one..
  17. Which is exactly what think has happened. Nick Morris loses his place at Somerset. Nick Morris needs and wants a Premier League place. Sheffield and Peterborough are the only two clubs that can fit him in. Peterborough say they don't have a team place for him Sheffield tell him if he became available they would be interested. Nick Morris goes back to Alun Rossiter and tells him he to ride for Sheffield in the Premier League. Alun Rossiter goes into a flying fit and then tells him if he was to ride for Sheffield he needs to put in a transfer request calling his bluff. Nick Morris then returns the bluff and puts in a transfer request. Or Did Dave Hoggart do the following. Look at the Somerset team and decide to do the following. Tell Somerset that there team was incorrect and that Brady Kurtz should come in on 5 rather than 3 due to riding in Danish League. Of course he knew this would mean that Somerset would drop Nick Morris. He then arranges ofr one of his new consortium even though they did not have control of the club to speak to Nick and offer him a place in the Premier League that he so wanted. Dum Dum Dum Dum Da.
  18. Nick Morris is abroad he is in Australia. Seriously I think Skornicki's average would be too high and been a Pole there would be license problems. My guess its either a young Swede or Dane.
