Whole host of options for riders between 4 and 4.90 point averages that would fit nicely into the senior reserve berth, and Ben Wilson has to be considered.
-
Unless there has been a change in the rules I don't see problem. Kerr and Rose rode for Newcastle/ Kings Lynn last season.
-
Don't see a Dane at Sheffield next season. Quick guess at the team Stead Bellego Birks Proctor Wolbert Ellis Bates.
-
What was it I said about David Bellego? Richard Hall with a more exotic name. To be fair along with Ash Birks we have probably sign the best 2nd strings around Owlerton, both should be more than capable of beating any top rider at home. Yes his away form is a bit suss, but around Owlerton he has a home track that he appears to love and races, very well and one thing for sure Thursday are going to be entertaining next season.

There has been a poll on Facebook and the fans choice is. Dougie Wyer.

Well if all else fails you can all have a dance with the new Danish guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjbEOIxfjBQ

The Guest situation and the doubling up rule got to a ridiculous stage last season, the worse scenario was Redcar, who signed Richie Lawson on loan from Workington, thinking that they had the first choice on his services, then Workington sold him to Lakeside they then lost the first call on their number 1 rider. That cannot be right and when you look Lawson missed quite a few of Redcar's matches.

The Guest Rider issue is a hot topic. To be fair the sport especially at Premier League level is probably here to stay, but I think it should be used as an exceptional rather than the rule. If one from the top 5 is out then Rider Replacement, anymore than one rider then you have to use a Guest, but only for the lower averaged riders. You have to have some form as Guest rider for the reserves, but I agree lets give young lads from the National League some experience for both reserve berths.

Rider Replacement Rules.

Who can forget it. I think we all got the message that night.

I don't know about Jorgensen, but in Ashley's case it blindingly obvious that Ash was going to be at Sheffield this coming season. One of his major sponsors is now a Promoter at the club, and another is heavily involved with Sheffield speedway.

Have you ever considered entering The Apprentice. You would feel really at home with the contestants on the show this year. -

Don't you have a curfew at Berwick. -
Looking at his records he has mostly rode in Finland and Estonia. Rode one meeting in Poland for Lodz in the Polish League and a challenge match for Lodz as well. My guess is he will be on an assessed average of 5.

Sheffield announced that they were keeping the same prices as last season and the season before £15. -
Not too sure, I would guess that it will be 5 myself due to not riding in any of the major league and his age.
-
That is not bad, problem is that it is 0.12 over the 42.5 lmit Stead Wilson Birks Proctor R Worrall Covatti Bates Comes in at 41.81.

They have said that they have a team in mind for next season, but were waiting to see what new changes were going to happen if any from the Conference. They have hinted at a returning Tiger which has to be Ash Birks, and a hot British prospect who that is remains to be seen, but my guess is that it will be fairly quick after the Conference..
-
Got to be honest I did think he was coming.. But to be honest I am not overly bothered. Yes he is exciting, but he can be very unpredictable and has a tendency to fall of the bike a lot. Also for some unknown reason he does not look so good around Sheffield and I do wonder whether he could have improved on a starting average of 6.75. But time will tell whether or not he will make that next step up.
-
Probably the two best rider in the Premier league last season, I suppose it depends no where you are watchin your speedway as to who you believe is the better rider. Tight and technical track then you would probably plump for Cookie. Fast and pacy then its Steady. But as Mr B says the title of the thread is Edinburgh 2015.
-
Ashley Birks has already signed for Sheffield.
-
I think that Steady or any other rider has a bit more intelligence than to sign for two club that share the same race night. At this stage of his career he will be looking to maximize his earning potential.
-
Could do but I think that he would at this stage in his career to be at Sheffield. In fact unless the Elite League look at the way they do their team building, he could find it hard to get an Elite League spot.
