  1. Could it be the like 2011 The year of the Tigers.
  2. Potentially a very good signing by Peterborough, hopefully his weekend continental commitments won't get in the way, and there won't be many fixture clashes with Kings Lynn as I would imagine they would have first call on his services.
  3. Really like the way the team building has gone and looking at the prospect of including Ty Proctor as the final rider I can only see things getting so much better for the coming season. When you have rider of Simon Stead standard you are have to be very careful about the way you build the team, and basically the Promotion have done what I wanted and expected and built a team around Steady. Ty Proctor had just started to find his feet when he got himself injured last season, and a fit and keen Ty Proctor should be good enough to put a point on that average. David Bellego is a cracking rider around Sheffield, he should be capable of beating anyone around Sheffield, his away form could be a bit suspect, but should be able to maintain his starting average at least. Ash Birks had a poor and injury hit season last season, but he is back at a track that he rides well and I think once his confidence grows he can put something on his starting average. Taylor Poole, might have a slow start from his injury, but he a slow start last season and then came on with a bang, and he could well put something on his average. Josh Bates, had his learning season last season, and with an all round team I think the pressure is off for him and I think that he will put something on his average. Arthur Sissis comes with a massive reputation, with that reputation we have to be optimistic that he can put on that average. And last but not least we have the Skipper, the leader and the guy who is of the top dogs in the Premier League, and can win races on most tracks on a regular basis. The one thing is if this team that hopefully include Ty Proctor will be very difficult to beat at Sheffield, and I doubt teams will be looking forward to coming to Sheffield next season, and if we can make a clean sweep at home (Fortress Owlerton) and nick a point or two or three away occasionally who know we could well make the Play offs.
  4. I think that there is a massive clue given when the Promotion has said that Arthur Sissis will be sharing workshop facilities with Josh Bates and Ty Proctor.
  5. The club does have a Team Manager's role to fill.
  6. Like Northyorksbear, I to read that it was the Promotion that you were pointing the finger, so apologies on that score. And to be fair I do remember some sections of the Redcar fans on here who did question the validity of Redcar sticking with Matej Kus,on this forum.
  7. Sorry, but if this was any other club other than Redcar you would not be making that statement. Everyone knows that the depression that Kus as suffering from had absolutely nothing to do with Redcar. Okay I don't know what support or help he got at Redcar, but I guess neither do you if your honest. End of the day if Kus wanted to ride for Berwick, he could have stood his ground and and stayed with them. With the fact that he has signed for Redcar very quickly after the 21K price tag put on him by Redcar, suggests to me that things were not as bad been between Kus and Redcar.
  8. Maybe so but I still don't think the rider put much of fight to stay at Berwick.
  9. The fact that he has signed for Redcar would suggest that he did not.
  10. Exactly Kus did not put up much of fight to get back to Berwick.
  11. Like I say a gamble well worth taking, if we did not then there would be plenty others that would have taken our place. On a personal note I am very please that we are the club that has Sissis's signature.
  12. Seen it all before. If cannot have that rider then no one is going to have him. As soon as they find out that they are getting the rider to ride for them and he is not bringing in a loan fee then they soon change their mind.
  13. End of the day if Kus wants to ride for Berwick, he will ride for Berwick. These days if a rider wants to ride for a club then they will, the option for Redcar is that they run the risk of having Kus sat at home in Czecho and Havvy Senior won't make any money on him.
  14. There will always be some sort of gamble bringing in a rider like Sissis, but to be honest it is a gamble well worth taking, and I think that if you were to a sweep around the Promoters in British speedway they would have signed him. The lad was tipped at 16 to one the next big talents to come out of Australia, but he took a different route and went to Moto GP, but he has now been dropped and is returning to speedway. He is still only 19, still young and for the gamble is well worth taking on 5 point average, if he ws 25 and on a 7 point average I would be far more hesitant. But its a 5 point average and starting at reserve and time will tell how well he will go.
  15. If you are referring to Sissis he is not allowed to race in the National League.
  16. May not be the strongest Somerset team on paper, but it packed solid with loads of potential. You have to admire the Somerset Promotion as year in year out they put together some very good teams.
  17. I don't think that the negative comments are coming from Sheffield fans. For me it is cautious optimism with the lad, and potentially it is a very very good signing for the club.
  18. When he has made so many appearances he will automatically..
  19. Stead 9.96 Bates 3.44 Birks 5.68 Bellego 6.06 Sissis 5.00 Total 30.14 Leaves us with 12. 36 Proctor 6.27 Poole 6.05 Total 12.32 Bates get a reduction on his average due to British/ Experience. A team that is under the just, but under the limit.
  20. Like I say if you had explained yourself better then the comment would not have been used. For my part I apologize for the comment and move on and celebrate the new signing.
  21. That potentially is a very very good signing.
  22. Perhaps if you would explained things better then the patronising comment might not have been made. Lots of reasons for Lawson signing for Glasgow. Family connections. Likes the Glasgow track as much as the Sheffield track. A very good deal (money).
