Not quite sure what you trying to get at here, Campton and Poole had visa's, then along with all the other Aussie riders and where the licenses were revoked and clubs had to re-apply. In Sheffield case Poole's was refuse Sheffield have accept that and now looking at a replacement for his team spot.
-
To be fair Andre's away form was not much better, the difference between using Andre is that Arthur Sissis will stay at reserve, using Richard or Ben would mean putting him into the main body of the team.
-
Bringing in Richard Hall would not be a good idea for me, brining him in would mean putting a young lad with little experience in the main body of the team, and we have more points to play around with so why not go for a rider who has far more all round skills.
-
But will that 7 point carry over to the following season, i,e, do riders have to have a 2015 average of 7 points or over to qualify for a visa, if not he has to make the top 4 of his State Championships.

If You Could Bring Back One Rider...

Shawn Moran, made it look so easy would like to have seen if he could have done it with the riders of today. Kelly Moran for his sheer unpredictability , and his fun attitude. And Kenny Carter would have love to have seen him go head to head with Nicki Pedersen, which for me would have been box office. -
So I guess Todd Kurtz does not need a visa.
-
That injury has cost him dearly, the State Championship would have been somewhere he could have got him back this season, hopefully he will be fit and raring to go and get that result in the State Championship and get himself back over here to ride for us. Going to be very difficult filling his spot in the team, I would imagine that Andre Compton would be favourite. Other possibilities are Pepe Franc but problems with overseas commitments. Tero Aarnio possible rides Sweden on Thursday. Anders Thomsen looked good at Sheffield but question marks about the standard of his equipment, Todd Kurtz, has connections with the Drillerman, but would he get a visa to ride.

Of course rules are rules, cannot help but feel that the Aussie boys have been dealt a rum deal, but I suppose you look at the overall situation in this country regarding jobs and foreigners.
-
Have to agree gutted but not surprised. Looks like the Promotion were hoping that they could appeal on Taylor's behalf that due to injury he was unable to make the State Championship. But looks like the powers that be are sticking rigidly to the rules.
-
Time will tell, the deal that takes Kennett to Rye House is as good as it gets for them losing Garrity. Not totally convinced with Edward I do think that he is on the verge of towards the end of his career, but you never know.
-
Best possible outcome for the Rockets, with releasing a rider who does not want to be there and getting first choice on their number 1. I don't think that Lakeside will be too impressed by the business. Wonder who PBHS is, looking at the photo of Jason in the Rye House season review the logo PBHS is on the front of the bike, on the bike cover and the forearm that Jason is showing has the PBHS. Funny how Ashley Birks and Josh Bates have the logo as well.
-
If you knew Jason Garrity's background then you would know that he has done what he has on a shoestring budget, and because of that I think that the lad will always chase the money. It looks likely that Coventry have got what they wanted first choice on Jason's services, I do think that the lad will eventually ride in the Premier League this season with another club providing Coventry pay a transfer fee.

What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.

I am not so sure that the problem was that bad last season, when you look at the team places that were shared out by Premier League. Looking at the clubs and the nationality of the riders that they used these are following figures; Premier League 2014 Berwick 8 riders used 1 British 2 Aussies 5 European. Edinburgh 7 riders used 3 British 3 Aussies 1 American. Glasgow 10 riders used 3 Aussies 7 European. Ipswich 7 riders used 3 British 2 Aussies 1 European 1 American. Newcastle 8 riders used 5 British 2 European 1 Aussie. Peterborough 11 riders used 5 British 5 European 1 American Plymouth 11 riders used 6 British 5 European Redcar 9 riders used 4 British 3 Aussies 2 European Rye House 10 riders used 8 British 2 European Scunthorpe 9 riders used 5 British 1 Aussie 3 European Sheffield 10 riders used 6 British 2 Aussie 2 European Somerset 7 riders used 3 British 3 Aussie 1 European Workington 9 riders used 5 British 2 Aussie 1 European 1 American Overall British 54 riders European 36 riders Aussies 22 riders American 4 riders Some clubs fared better than others, but most clubs appeared to choose mainly Brits. It could have been better, but the massive problem is that the wealth of talent in this country is not there, and the loss of certain amount of Aussies, cannot be replaced wholly by British riders. -
If As what appears to be what has been stated on here that we will be without Taylor Poole, I would think the club will probably bring in Andre Compton as a replacement for him.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Hugh Skidmore rides on a Dutch license, if does then he should be okay without having to marry his girlfriend. -
I would probably agree with you. For Sheffield the thought process for this season is build a team that win at home, and I think that the top 5 is built with that in mind.

What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.
spin king replied to doners1234's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well after reading the latest press release things sound a bit more promising, with Agency agreeing to work alongside the clubs in getting the visa right. This is something that has been brewing up for sometime where we have seen a selection of riders unable to ride due visa applications been turned down and it looks like the agency has finally taken a stand to get this mess sort out once and for all. The loss of the Aussie rider would have been a hammer blow for the sport in this country, they are the one speedway nation that has been loyal to British speedway and stuck with us more than any other speedway nation. But it looks as though clubs have been given a clear message, stop looking for the loopholes do it by the book and things will not be a problem. -
What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.

Did not Jason Doyle have a tier 5 visa, which meant that he could only ride for one club in this country. I know Ty Proctor had to choose between riding for Wolves and Sheffield which would hint that he will be using a tier 5 visa. Maybe this is what the rest will have to do. -
Bearing in mind that there are around only 26 Aussie riders with team places in this country in both leagues, 20 plus is a rather large figure to be getting problems with visa's / permits. My guess is that is that is what you say a rumour.
-
Yes.

I think a fit and healthy Ty Proctor, is a good bet.
