  1. Sounds easy in principle, but unless you have seen all of the 10 races where he has gained a bonus point which neither you and I have I don't think we can make a judgement. Also should a rider be expected to let his partner through and lose money. Unless you are Ipswich who went against the ruling of paying bonus points.
  2. We can bleat all we want, but it ain't going to change anything. I don't agree with it, and I don't like it, but we move on.
  3. In the Premier League they are not paid for bonus points as from last season, the Promoters took the decision that they were not going to pay for them. Mind you it was said that Ipswich decided to go against the ruling and paid their riders.
  4. I don't think you can take that into account, on occasions he has battled through from 3rd to take a bonus points. End of the day rubbish happens I don't agree with it and I feel for the rider but we move on.
  5. Fair enough, but what is answer to post 32?
  6. If I did not know that you were going to be out of pocket because any chance we had of winning the league has gone I would say your actually enjoying this.
  7. Putting aside the fact the right or wrongs, and who is dumb and who is not. What happens if a rider is given 60 days to prove themselves and goes out first race and gets injured and does not ride for the duration of the 60 days, would this mean the visa is revoked.
  8. I have to agree totally stupid, surely they should be looking at this over the season and it should calculated at the end of the season's average for that season. Ty has over a 7 point average for meetings this season so far surely that should be enough. I can see this having large repercussions for the sport.
  9. That was said at Ipswich and Rye House when Sheffield went to race there, and we all know what happened. I think it will depend n how tight we can keep the scores throughout the meeting. Either way hopefully both teams can put on a good show and do the Premier League proud.
  10. Should be an interesting match up tomorrow. On paper you would have favour the Scottish Tigers. But it could be that weather might play its part, the Glasgow promotion will move heaven and earth to get this meeting on and if the weather is poor then that usually makes it a leveller for both teams or can even pass advantage to the away team. I think if we can keep it tight from the start we might come away with a win or nick a point, which will be another fine performance for Yorkshire Tigers. May the best team win.
  11. Definitely would agree that it was Rye who handicapped by Guest riders. Seems to be a theme running through some of the Scunthorpe fans that they make excuses for any shortfalls big or small.
  12. If If If Lots of ifs there. But I reckon that Shadders wins the if game. Mind you if Josh could manage a few more race wins then the Scorpions might have pulled off a win.
  13. He did okay, but he is not a natural Team Manager, I think Joe initially wanted and was brought in to be Coach to the riders. Jack Lee has been a Team Manager for so many years and we are now seeing the team properly managed. Jack changing riders team positions to suit different tracks where they ride well or not so well.
  14. A proper Team Manager, its a long time since we had one at Sheffield.
  15. Another win in the win pile. Big Thank you to Josh G for a stella number 1 performance. Upwards and onwards for the Yorkshire Tigers.
  16. Was not stated that Richard Hall asked to be left out of the Redcar team due to not having any equipment and money for speedway. Have the Berwick promotion been forced to lay out the funding for him to get some bikes together. Also is Richard riding Long track this year, if he is could it be that he could be missing s fair few of the Bandits home meetings.
  17. Big difference taking laps on your own compared to actually competitive racing.
  18. Not too sure, it is said that it is bike problems, but his scoring has dropped of the scale since Steady's and Bellego's accident at Rye which makes you wonder if it has effected him. But he was out on the bike for quite sometime after the meeting on Thursday so maybe it is the bike that is the problem.
  19. Not too sure what the problem with Ash Birks is at the moment. But with Arthur you have to remember that he had only had around a hand full of competitive rides on a 500 before he came over to race over here. So despite the hype (which came from other fans from other clubs) he is still pretty much a raw novice, so there will be times where people could be disappointed with his performance at away tracks when he rides there. But as we have seen at Sheffield he has shown improvement with every meeting and I think that we will see the best of him next season. Interestingly the word that when we race Rye he got better as the meeting went along a track that is totally different to his home track.
  20. The BBC weather forecast is one that I usually look for. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2638077 Looks like we should be okay.
  21. So British speedway is ruined by the fact that Tai is not riding in this country this season? Total and utter tosh. You pick a team that is going to give you the best chance of winning, and having Tai in the team gives us that chance. A successful National team should go some way to building the future of the sport in this country. I would rather talk about who after Tai and Bomber we bring into the team for the final team places, I think that Rosco has the perfect opportunity to bring in some fresh new blood.
  22. Cannot believe that this subject has gone to 5 pages long. Is it not the objective of any team to put out the best possible team out to at least try and win. Of course the answer is yes. So when we have one at most two proven World Class riders why do we want to drop a rider who has a World Championship Gold medal on his CV to be dropped. Tai has not said that he does not want to ride for Team GB, only that he wants to give league over a miss, as he finds it too demanding for less financial reward, he is not the first and he won't be the last to come to that conclusion. In any other country the suggestion of dropping a World Class sportsman of any sport should be dropped because he plies his trade in another country would be dismissed out of the water. Of course Tai should be chosen, he should be the first name on the list, with Bomber Harris's name not far behind.
  23. To be fair to Big Leigh his home form although not great, was reasonable, it was the away form that was a big let down, add to that the injuries, meant that he never really got going at Sheffield last season. These things happen and sometimes things just don't work out for rider and club and I think this was the case for Leigh, and he is now doing the business for Somerset.
