  1. Agree with most about the two jobs completely different and the team he chooses for Swindon should not have any bearing on whether or not he should be allowed to continue being the National Team Manager. For me the jury is out on whether or not he is the right man for the job, he has made real mistakes while been the Team Manager.
  2. Edinburgh to sweep the board and win everything next season.
  3. Depends on what his plans are, been doing Poland on Sundays, which would rule him out.
  4. Barely rode for 3 seasons, and when he did the figures are not too impressive. Add to that he is now 35 years old. Do people really think that he can be as good as what Masters was last season for Edinburgh.
  5. Cannot see Gjedde leading the Devils from the number 1 slot, But I reckon Holder will takeover the number 1 role at Plymouth, with Newman backing him up.
  6. Nice feeling for Rambo to have a section of the fans at Peterborough calling for him to be dropped before a wheel is turned.
  7. Will be interesting to see where Peterborough go next, what was shaping up to be a pretty decent team as they seem to be stalling on the last rider.
  8. Taking out of the equation 3 point National League 3 point riders there was 78 team places in total up for grabs in the Premier League. So far 71 of those 78 have been filled. Of those 71 the riders are predominately British, Australian and Danish. 25 Brits 15 Aussies 14 Danes 5 of the Brits are riding for Sheffield. 4 of the Danes are riding for Peterborough. Berwick are the only side in the league to have named their full team with no British rider in their top 6.
  9. Bring your own sweets next season. Very happy with the team selected, bearing in mind we have Simon Stead on a massive average, but I think that the Promotion have done well with the selecting the team. Steady is no that massive average,my guess is if he was not fit or thought he could not get back to around the type of form he was in before the injury, but you cannot expect him to maintain his starting average. Jason Garrity is a rider on his way up and is after Steady's number 1 role. Kyle Howarth is a rider who has never quite reach his full potential in the Premier League, but has only ever ridden for one club and you see it time and time again a change of club can kick-start their career and I think this could be the move for Kyle and the same thing hapened with Garrity last season. Josh Bates was a fast improving rider last season the Josh Bates that start the season was a pale shadow of a rider the rider that finished the season, a few people are going to be surprised next season. Dimetri Berge strikes me as a rider who needs coaxing and given advice and with Steady around he will find a rider who will be on hand to give as much advice and help that he can get. There is some unfulfilled talent in him, i remember last season him winning heat 1 of the Glasgow v Sheffield match breaking the track record in the bargain so suggests there is something about him. Richard Hall has something to prove and needs to show it, my guess the Promotion will have told him that there is minimum of 6 points at home and 5 away from home, if not then I think he could be shown the door. But he is in a similar position to what Andre Compton was a few seasons ago, its up to him to show the desire and application. Not going to prediction on the number 7 role as I think it is a pure lottery who is going to get the points and who is not, but young Nathan with his limit experience had a few rides last season in premier League last season for Workington and his scores got better as the more he rode, added to the fact that he will have seen some of the tracks already whereas quite a few of the other won't have I think he will be okay. And as with the other younger riders he has Steady there ready to offer the advice if they are prepared to listen. Okay on paper the team is not as good as the Glasgow one, but I think it has the potential to make be in the mix for a Play Off place.
  10. Not the best Somerset team I have seen. Got the proven number 1 in Josh G. Tungate needs to get some consistency with his racing maybe a change of club is what he needed. Will be interesting to see how well Jake Allen goes, seems to have done well down in Aussie. Be interesting to see how the Wright and Starke perform been given a platform to get themselves into the third heatleader role. I would be worried about the reserve pairing lacks a bit of experience and they could be in trouble there. Speaking from experience having 3 riders in your team on assessed averages is a massive gamble, but lets face it the Somerset Promotion are never afraid to make changes if necessary. Will be interesting to see how the season pans out for them over the seson after been one of the top teams in recent years.
  11. As Cilla said Surprise Surprise. Looking that way at the moment.
  12. Looks like Kyle Howarth not going to the Oak Tree, totally forgot about the new Aussie starting average of 5.
  13. Me to if he is on a 5 point average that will be some gamble. My guess the last three Josh G Rohan Tungate Adam Ellis.
  14. Shocked by that one I would imagine that he is on a 5 point average.
  15. Ha ha , usually Somerset come in with a surprise or two. To be honest I am looking to see if they have Kyle Howarth in their team. Cheers Old mate.
  16. They have done it that way for the last couple of seasons.
  17. Will the Somerset Promotion be posting their team on their FB page as they announce each rider?
  18. Friendly, he will only entertain a £2K bet.
