  1. only thing I can see to go on is that both Josh and Simon racing and passing and re passing and Josh picked up some unexpected grip crashed taking Simon with him unfortunately. ( taken from the live update page) Got agree with on Josh.
  2. http://www.sheffieldspeedway.co/news.php?extend.2013
  3. Only a Challenge match I would imagine that both clubs will come to some sort of arrangement.
  4. I don't think that he progressed as much as some thought he would last season, but I think that Kyle has changed a few things for the start of this season. Obviously he has changed his Premier League team, I do think that he stayed at Workington a season or two longer than he should have. He also has a new Elite League team after flitting between three teams Poole, Coventry and Swindon and moved onto Wolverhampton and for the first time he has taken his place in the draft system something most riders of his age and ability has done for the last two seasons. This should see him picking up more points with the easier rides and winning races and decent points scored should see his confidence grow, something appeared to missed last season especially when Swindon dropped him.
  5. Got to agree, I think that he will be a quality signing.
  6. He could not have been that bad. Start of the 2015 season Kyle start as the third heatleader. By late June he was the Workington number 1.
  7. Got the feeling that Eric was brought back to ease Marc Bates into the role. Eric will be Manager for home meetings with Marc assisting, and Marc will take charge for away meetings. Jack Lee has been given the job of sourcing riders for second half rides, which could be all tied in with what the Promotion said about future plans at the end of season do which was to re-open the training track with the view to finding rider to run a National League team in the near future.
  8. Return of Booey, don't know much about Marc. Have to agree about Jack and would have preferred to see him come back. Lets see what the new Management team can do.
  9. (1) Poole (2) Coventry (3) Wolves (4) Belle Vue (5) Kings Lynn (6) Swindon (7) Lakeside (8) Leicester Cannot see past Poole for the top. Ditto for Leicester for the bottom of the league. Belle Vue to scrap through to the Play Offs, due to the new track. Wolves to be the surprise package.
  10. 1 Glasgow 2 Plymouth 3 Peterborough 4 Sheffield 5 Workington 6 Newcastle 7 Ipswich 8 Edinburgh 9 Berwick 10 Scunthorpe 11 Somerset 12 Rye House 13 Redcar
  11. I fully expect Andre Compton to fill in at Workington, if Andre does well enough then Ty could find himself having problems getting his place back.
  12. If it is a cost cutting exercise why are the Edinburgh Promotion claiming they will not pay wage demands of the British youngsters. Whether or not you agree with the new ruling or not, its here that is what you have to do with regards the team building. To me it appears that the Edinburgh promotion for once have messed up on their team building. Most clubs sorted out the 3 point reserves early on in their team building which is the sensible way to do as it is apart from the points limit it is the only compulsory rule in team building.
  13. The idea of the Fast track reserves is to provide a way through for riders from the National League to Premier League. Its designed to provided opportunity for British riders to gain the chance to step up in the leagues rather than using lowly averaged foreign riders. One of the criteria to qualify is that a rider must have ridden in the National League for one season. Mitchell Davey can have a British passport, he can change his name to Hamish McDade and wear Union Jack boxer shorts, he still will not fit the criteria that allows him to gain one of the positions end of story. If he is allowed in then the rules have been relaxed and the whole exercise has been a waste of time. End of the day Davey will need to do a season in the National League to qualify.

  15. Okay forget the best interests, more like not with in the spirit of the rules and reeks of manipulation. And surprise surprise its Edinburgh.
  16. Like I have said I saw Zach ride three times last season at Sheffield. He was okay but I would not say that he made me think that he is a superstar in the making. the first meeting was an Inter league match Sheffield v Cradley both teams made up of mainly National League riders, he did okay in that meeting but failed to win a race if my memory serves me he got paid 8 from 5 rides. The next he Guested for us at home to Edinburgh, had three rides and got a paid win, but was gifted to him and if Branford had not packed up just before the line it would have been a solitary point. The last meeting three rides 1 point, and to be honest he only got that because Josh Bates messed up the start in heat 2. In saying that I would not have been too disappointed if we had signed him, but like a lot of the draft riders especially the ones with no or limited Premier League experience I think they are going to find points hard to come by, mainly because the points limit has not changed in the Premier League and looking at teams they nearly teams other reserve are very strong.
  17. Robert Lambert is head and shoulders above any other young Brit. Saw young Zach three occasions last season, he did well but would not rate him over the likes of Josh Bates or Adam Ellis.
  18. End of the day the Promoters are coming up with something that new and a little bit different, for change I think as fans we should give it a go, and of course it has to be priced right for your average punter to afford it. On a personal note I would be more inclined to go this kind of meetings than say the GP at Cardiff. Don't fully agree with Peterborough been seeded straight through to the final, but with 13 teams in the league I suppose someone has to be seeded only other alternative has to be one team missing out.
  19. So Porsing it is then. Not Bjerre or Karlsson or the Polish dude that was touted. It is a very solid Panthers team, that looks as though it has potential written all over it, and should get better as the season moves along providing they can stay fit. It will be interesting to see how Porsing does go, as he has spent all of his British career in the Elite League with Kings Lynn he might be in for a bit of a shock the Premier League is a harder league that he might think.
  20. I assume he is not riding in Poland next season then.
  21. I am missing something here. Why does Lambert have to leave the club if signs to ride for Kings Lynn in the Elite League.
  22. I don't think there is any more that could be added to thoughts regarding the fixture for Sheffield fans other than that some may have already have tickets for Belle Vue. Poor planning by the Leicester Promotion, where they seem to have put themselves up against the opening of what is to be the new National stadium, could be a costly lesson to learn. Can we win, not particularly bothered as long as we are competitive and give the Lions a run for their money.
