  1. Silly statement to make and one that neither you or I or anyone else can answer. And why does only Elite League fans views count, what about the fans from the Premier League and the National League.
  2. Jenga Jenga Jenga Whats the score. Jenga Jenga Jenga Whats the score.
  3. My Final pick would be the following; Tai Woffinden, absolute no brainer. Robert Lambert; Superb young talent and appears that he could handle the pressure. Craig Cook; has the home track knowledge. Chris Bomber Harris, never really let us down when he pulls on the Team GB race jacket. Under 21 reserve Josh Bates just edges out Adam Ellis.
  4. Maybe the owners of the stadium have it written into the rent agreement that an interval must be taken.
  5. Reading through your last three or four posts I have come to realise that hat I suspected about you is totally and utterly correct. Your thread was started as a campaign against Tai,you don't like the guy (fair enough) I suspect that you never have and you never will. And using the response on here as a kind of poll the vast majority of fans don't agree with your views, and want Tai in the team. what are going to do when the Team GB side is announced because Rosco will put Tai in the team, support the Aussies, Yanks or the Danes.
  6. Certainly won't be a walkover. It is made even more harder without Jason Garrity who is flying at the moment. End of the day as long as we score more points than the Bears then I will be happy.
  7. I don't blame Luke Chessell, and in a way I don't blame Cradley. Its the fact that a club could get a Guest facility for the rider of the same ability that is the problem. Surely simply making a club use the number 8 should have been the answer.
  8. Probably because they are not asked to ride three times per week in their own countries.
  9. Like other have said the Mildenhall promotion are in the wrong by cancelling the meeting. But someone at the top needs to seriously look at why Cradley were allowed to bring in a Guest rider, it should not have happen, but unfortunately it is typical of Speedway promotions these days using the rules to their own benefits.
  10. I would say that it is highly unlikely that Tai is a Multi Millionaire, I don't think that the sport generates that kind of money. As for Tai been British or wanting to British, I think he has clearly stated in the past that he is British not only does he ride for Team GB but he also does a lot of charity work for charitable causes in this country. Of course Tai left Britain at a very early age and move to Australia at a very young age, and that is where he differs from all of the World Champions from the past, there will always be that little bit of Aussie in him, but deep down he is and wants to be British. Some say he refuse to ride in the British Final. He did nothing of the sort, he withdrew from the Semi Finals. The reasons for that was because both Semi Finals were either side of a Grand Prix, who on earth decided that was a good idea, the BSPA needs to take a long hard look at themselves, by doing what they did they may it virtually impossible for him to defend his title so he withdrew. He could have asked to be seeded through to the Final but he probably thought that if he did ask he would get slaughter for it. As for him not riding in the British leagues, well most of the top riders don't and they alll give the same reason as Tai to many fixtures and different days, and like so many he chooses not to ride here because he has ambitions to be Multi World Champion. I think rather than people starting threads pulling the lad down and campaigning to get him dropped from Team GB why not just celebrate the fact that we have the best rider in the World leading our team into the World Cup.
  11. I think Craig Cook still has the potential to be a top line rider. Mind you it does make you wonder whether or not it is age that is holding him back cracking riding the foreign leagues.
  12. Never said he was a good boy. Gavan is daft enough to react to your wind ups. I am I Poole hater, not given it much thought, I admire Matt Ford and his achievements, don't mind Middlo, quite like Holder but don't rate Newman, and as Neutral in the Elite league I will support the underdog. Leave you to make your own opinion on that one. What I don't like is people who goad others for reaction and they know are doing it, and then cry foul and going running to the Mods.
  13. Steve Shovalar has been for the duration of the time that I have been a member of this forum a wind up merchant on this forum and seems to have the opinion that if its not Poole then its not worth thinking about or talking about. In saying that he does occasionally make some decent comments. Starman sole purpose on this forum is to wind a certain section of the forum, makes certain comments that he know willl provoke a reaction, virtually begs you to insult him and then runs off to Mummy when people do and and calls for people to be banned, basically he is childish. Everybody's entitled to an opinion might not be one that you agree with, but if you are going to make comments that are controversial or that you know are going to provoke a big reaction then don't go running to the Moderators calling foul.
  14. I think if Gavan has to be banned then you have to ban Starman as well.
  15. As it has been said Richard has not been block riding in the league. Unfortunately the BSPA see fit to use an average that is 12 years old, which ridiculous. By doing what they have done means that a National League club can legit-ably sign Tai Woffinden. Once again the BSPA tie themselves in knots.
  16. Best rider on the night won. I thought Danny King was awesome. My World Cup team would be Woffinden Lambert Cook King Reserve either Ellis or Bates.
  17. Does not matter really, the rules have been stated for the season. And if the landlords have stated it, it then needs to be definitely abide by.
  18. Not read all of the answers to the start of this thread. And one question that has not been asked that I thought would have been asked. You have worked out your league structures, but what happens to the likes of Birmingham, Cradley, Mildenhall and Buxton. Are these clubs just kicked out?
  19. I think that since the sad passing of Bob Tasker Re- Run have taken over the filming.
  20. Can only concur with the posts about Lambert and Garrity races. Absolute cracking races both riders going for it with hard riding, not dirty giving each other just enough room to race, just why we love the sport. And both BRITISH.
  21. Short memory. Newcastle rolled into Sheffield last season with 3 Guest riders and Rider Replacement. Both Swedes were missing that night riding in Sweden. But we don't talk about that night. Do we Tsunami.
  22. Sure that I have read somewhere that Ty is still back in Oz, he had received some offers from the UK but they were described at best not worth his while coming over for, and it is looking as though he will be stay ing at home.
  23. The main problem is that even when they were successful crowds were not massive. So on what looks to be another poor season for the club it is hardly surprising that they are down again. You can have the best race track, the best stadium, the best car park or the best pies it won't matter a jot people are more than likely to stay away, and as most speedway fans don't travel away to meetings you need your home supporters more than anything. I think the problem at Scunthorpe is that they had a poor season last season, and Rob Godfrey kept faith a nucleus of those riders last season, which unless that team hits the ground running its hardly going to tempt the stay away fans back to the fold. I also don't think that you will ever get the best out of Josh Auty riding at number 1, I have watched a lot of Josh over the years and I have always said that he cannot ride the number 1 riding position. The first thing that Rob Godfrey needs to do is bring in a rider that will take over the number 1 riding role from Josh Auty, and stop signing the Lyager's and Hollub's of this world.
  24. Too be honest apart from the start of the meeting never felt that Comets were anywhere near getting anything out of the meeting. Nice to see young Adam have a good meeting, still very well thought of from the Sheffield fans.
