Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
spin king replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Not condoning Tai's alleged words for one second. I say alleged as I personally as I did not see the interview from my home. I have asked my son who was at Cardiff and he did not hear anything. But he certainly not the only rider to do it if he did, and I am certain that he won't be the ;last. Its up to the organisers, promoters and authorities to sort it out and bring the riders to book over any incidents. I find it highly amusing that Tai does something that has been going on for sometime, and all of sudden it becomes a major issue because it Tai. -
Glasgow's away form is going to cost them dearly if they are not careful. I wonder if there is a feeling that maybe dropping Ben Barker for Rene Bach was not such a good idea. For Scunthorpe, lesson for next season if you are going to retain the services of Josh Auty make sure you sign a rider that keeps him away from the number 1 position, he is so more effective when he is not riding at number 1.

He will.

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
spin king replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Simple question. Do you want Team GB to win the WTC ? If the answer is yes don't you think that we should pick the best possible side available, and if we pick the best side Tai has to be included. I saw the interview tonight with Rosco and you are going to be disappointed because he is going with Tai and he also said that he was very impressed with Tai passion for riding for Team GB and wanting to moving things forward on a more professional approach. One other thing Tai did say tonight was that he felt that Danny King had earned his place, and called upon Rosco to pick him. -
I would say that Danny King has done his chance of making the final WTC team a world of good. I would say that Wuffy and Lambert are absolute certs, Danny King is more or less there with the last place between Craig Cook and Bomber.

I don't condone bad language and I don't think that it is right. But to lay firmly at Tai's feet is wrong, its not just Tai there are plenty of other riders who do it as well. Maybe it is time to start fining riders or docking points for ungentlemanly behaviour.

So what will make people happy and believe that Tai is committed to speedway in this country. Here is a list; Ride the British Final Ride in every Ben Fund meeting for the foreseeable future. Race in every race in the Ben fund. Wear Union Jack boxer shorts Recite the first verse of the British National Anthem before each televised interview. Wear kilt to any official functions (that will stop the Jocks wanting Independence) Become the Official Ambassador for Lincolnshire sausage (Well he was born in Scunthorpe) Have elocution lesson to rid him of his Aussie accent. Change his name to Tim (it sounds more British) Carry a blow up sheep around with him at all times (Keeps the Welsh sweet) Have I missed anything? -

I will give you one thing you are one clever fella. You are a past master of ducking and deflecting the attention from yourself. Answering questions with a question, constantly baning out the propaganda. Ever thought about a career in politics, you would be good at that. -

Come on Robert, meet up with Tai. Don't worry about the camera, we can black out your face jike they do when they are interviewing Whistle Blowers and Supergrasses. We can get an actor to speak your lines. We can even change your name to disguise you some thing like Norbert 2.75. And wait for it we will even say that you are a former speedway rider. Has to be a deal. -

I am sure that Darren will switch the camera's off if you ask him. But I am sure that he used the words we could video the meeting between yourself and Tai. -

I agree that maybe Gavan went over the top, but I do think that you play your part, goading and mocking his family that are no longer here around to defend themselves is as low as you can get. -

Will hold my hand up to that one as I did after his Final win. But have thought about it I would rather go with Bomber.

Silly statement to make and one that neither you or I or anyone else can answer. And why does only Elite League fans views count, what about the fans from the Premier League and the National League. -
My Final pick would be the following; Tai Woffinden, absolute no brainer. Robert Lambert; Superb young talent and appears that he could handle the pressure. Craig Cook; has the home track knowledge. Chris Bomber Harris, never really let us down when he pulls on the Team GB race jacket. Under 21 reserve Josh Bates just edges out Adam Ellis.

Maybe the owners of the stadium have it written into the rent agreement that an interval must be taken. -

Reading through your last three or four posts I have come to realise that hat I suspected about you is totally and utterly correct. Your thread was started as a campaign against Tai,you don't like the guy (fair enough) I suspect that you never have and you never will. And using the response on here as a kind of poll the vast majority of fans don't agree with your views, and want Tai in the team. what are going to do when the Team GB side is announced because Rosco will put Tai in the team, support the Aussies, Yanks or the Danes. -

Certainly won't be a walkover. It is made even more harder without Jason Garrity who is flying at the moment. End of the day as long as we score more points than the Bears then I will be happy.
