  1. Adding to the many people clarify that Pinny is not Steve Shovlar. He does live in Australia and lives in Melbourne. How do I know? I have him as a friend on FB. But more telling is that. He actually thought Charlie Gjedde could get a 9 point plus average in the Premie League this season. Got to be Aussie based if he is that out of touch. For me until both the BSPA and Tail make a further statement and let the fans know what has happened then I know nothing.
  2. We were told and sure it was in the press at the time that there was three interested parties. Tony Mole A consortium (That turn out to be who took the club on) Foreign interest. The rumour was at the time, but I must stress was a rumour that Alex's dad was involved.
  3. Sorry to hear about the Bandits plight once again. Lets hope that a buyer can be found for me a great bunch of supporters. I guess that it will all come down to the asking price. When Sheffield were up for sale a few years ago we were told that there was some foreign interest in the club which was heavily rumoured to be someone who had some Berwick connections. Maybe.
  4. Would that be the same Lorraine Kelly who makes the occasional Guest appearance on the Lorraine show in the mornings.
  5. Bit confidence coming from the Glasgow camp regarding our Jason. All I going to say is the ladis in the form of his life and come the Play Offs (if we qualify) is bang on to take over the number 1 role from Steady. Your boys will need to be on their top form to live with him, you have been warned.
  6. Quite possible his Premier League form this season has been going really well.
  7. Would be nice to Sheffield get something out of this meeting, but the team this season has been very inconsistent so I think it could be a bit of a pipe dream. Particularly hoping that Berge has a good meeting against his former team, as he has been a revelation for us this season and along with Garrity been our most consistent performer.
  8. All this troll business is getting pretty boring. Why people cannot accept or put there points across without calling each other names.
  9. Not forgetting your very most favourite centre green announcer. Here he is doing some football. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnQkJC2uSXs
  10. I will agree with you one this matter, Tai's explanation was far to vague and it would be nice for Tai and the BSPA give fans a statement to say why and how far apart they are from coming to an agreement on how best to move things forward.
  11. Never claim to be a rule maker, just my opinion which I think that you will agree I am entitled to make if I want to. As you are entitled not agree with what I have to say its all about difference of opinions.
  12. Not saying that you are telling stories or not. But I do feel that if your source does not want be revealed then it should not come into the public forum. I have been told things in the past but unless I have been told by a source that I can quote them I have never ever gone on a public forum to reveal what has been said. And of course because I have never met you I will have a tendency to be sceptical as to what you say, as I am sure you would be if the boot was on the other foot.
  13. So because Steve Shovlar tells us it has to be correct. For me the jury is still out and we are none the wiser as to what happened or has happened. Steve says he has it from reliable source but won't reveal his source. That means one of two things. (1) His source has told him in good faith, but does not want to be public associated, in which no matter how much Steve wants or feels that we should be told he should not reveal it on a public forum. (2) He is telling stories. I suppose it depends who or what you want to believe, but for me we still have not got to the bottom of whole episode.
  14. Would be very interesting to find out what social media Promoters use and what they do read. I think that they could learn a lot about what fans have to say by reading forums after all fans are their customers and with any business if you don't listen to your customers your business is less likely to succeed. I have long held believe that clubs should have an elected fans elected representative who could be a go between fans and Promoters and maybe spend sometime at end of season to give their views and ideas when the major decisions are been made.
  15. Strange has anybody noticed that Robert 72 and Vincent Blackshadow aew never on the forum at the same time.
  16. I never mentioned his relationship with the BSPA. I said that he had not claimed any expenses and fund his own World Cup campaign.
  17. How can Tai be expecting top expenses when he is on record and clearly stated that he did not claim expenses. Or is Robert accusing Tai of been a liar?
  18. What over the top expenses. Tai funded his own World Cup campaign. He was paid zero expenses.
  19. Probably giving Poole fans a break from watching their team getting stuff at Swindon.
  20. Tough one. But if everyone rides to their abilities then I think that we can overcome the Monarchs.
  21. I think you might be a tad surprise regarding Bellego and Holder, they both ride Sheffield very well.
  22. In 2013 Tai Woffinden gain a GP wildcard. That same year Tai was crowned Champion of the World. Mocked by many that gain entry via the back door, serious misgivings about his credentials and something a 100-1 shot to win the title it is highly unlikely that he was at the time heavily sponsored. So how did the rider come from no where to win his World title, with little backing. What was his winning formula. And to prove a point he won it again two years later, the first British rider to do soin modern speedway history. Surely whether or not you like the guy or not he should be listened to and act as quickly as we possibly can. Further along the line he lead Team GB to a silver medal in the WTC. We have seen in the past others who have walked away from the Team GB not just Tai. The worrying thing as far as I am concerned is if the lack ambition for National team what is next. I can honestly see the amalgamation of the Premier League and Elite League with teams built to Premier League standard, enjoy the likes of Holder, Doyle, Zagar, Iversen and co while you can because I doubt the will be riding in this country soon.
  23. (1) Could well be down to access to the track the stadium is very much used by the greyhound people who own the stadium, part from the evening meetings they also have meetings in the afternoon during the week, this is something that has happened over the last 4 to 5 years. At Scunthorpe they will have 24/7 access. (2) Maybe the clue is in the article, which says stadium owners like the interval later, I would guess that its down to the Stadium owners insist on an interval unless in extreme cases like weather or a rider having an accident. Its far more easy if you own your own stadium than when you are working within what the stadium owners want and will allow you to do. Maybe the answer is that we move to a purpose built stadium and move out of Owlerton, but we all know how difficult that can be. Maybe the answer is that we move out of Owlerton and
