  1. At the time of the Matousek incident I was not attending speedway, so I cannot comment on it, whether or not it was purposely set out to hurt Nagy. But Matousek did have a reputation and general consensus seems to be he meant it, maybe not as bad as what actually happened. There will always be the odd rider that will go over the top, but more often than not it is not intentional.
  2. Not seen the accident and I don't have any desire to. But I find it hard to believe that any rider would go out of their way to deliberately injure another rider and serious one at that. It is said that Tate and Keynan are close friends, so it is even harder to believe it was deliberate. As I have already posted best wishes to Tate, lets hope he makes a full recovery from what appears to be a nasty crash. Also lets hope that this does not have an effect on Keynan mentally as I am sure he will be upset that a friend has suffered and injury.
  3. Agree with many in that I thought we were going to hammered tonight. For us to lose only by 6 points and still be in with a chance of getting result in the final heat was even more pleasing.
  4. Best Wishes to Tate and hope he is well soon.
  5. When I look at a rider I like to look at the riders average. On the surface for a first season 6:96 is pretty impressive. But if you break his average down he is averaging 9:38 at home, and 4:71 away. That is big difference in those averages from home and away, and that would be my big concern if I was an Aces fan. But the Workington track appears to be very much like the National Stadium, so he should be okay at home, but away it might be a different matter. Will be interesting to see if he is the right man to replace Mountain.
  6. Bad news for Ipswich with the injuries piling up. I suppose that they will try and keep it as tight as possible, with the view to winning the bonus point. But it looks like an uphill battle with only Birmingham riders available to be used as Guests.
  7. Completely disagree. I would say and it is happening more often than not Sheffield are winning bonus point so far in the league, and I would back us to keep this up for the rest of the season. There is one club that I think we have and will struggle with beating over two legs and that is Ipswich, and that is even with or without Jason Doyle.
  8. Leicester will smell blood and I expect their Management get them fired up. For Sheffield we need to keep it as tight as possible, Tai and Chris Holder will need to be at their very best, and if we are going to lose we need to keep it as tight and lose by the smallest margin and take it to a super heat so we get something out of the meeting. And we desperately need Kyle Howarth to put in a performance, and Jason Edwards needs a big performance. Rory Schlein as a guest has me worried, never been totally convinced in him around Sheffield. But Leicester will be thinking that they have a great chance to take the win and they will be up for it.
  9. I think that Oxford will keep Craig Cook, it would be madness to let him go on his present form. I can see Oxford releasing Lewis Kerr. And given the choice between Kyle Howarth and Lewis Kerr, I would go for Kyle.
  10. Maths is not your strong point I see. Still trying to think of a time that Kyle Howarth and Dan Gilkes have said or done something that could be classed as arrogant or controversial.
  11. Congrats to Ipswich on the win, the better team on the night. I am concerned with Kyle Howarth, not having a great start to the season not only for Sheffield but Scunthorpe as well. Tai is correct in saying that there may need to be some changes to the team, and Kyle at this moment seems to be the weak link in the team.
  12. On the subject of SCB and him re-offending the clue was in his post, with one line. " Don't believe everything you read in the press" To me that intrigued, me as I genuinely thought that he would have been banned from any social media platform. After reading I googled his and Jason's names to read through reports on them only to find that SCB had re-offended. Was this SCB trying to cover up his re-offending. I think it was. I have since been told by others that he is very prominent on Twitter. What the hell are the authorities thinking about letting him on Twitter or any other social media platforms, Social Media and the likes of SCB are a dangerous mix. For Jason, actions speak louder than words. For one he needs to move away from Manchester way from previous he hung around with. He needs to do some charity work, victims support would be good one to start with and the two people he did wrong. And finally he would have to accept that he would face drug testing on a more regular times than other riders. If he was prepared to do all of the following then I might consider that he has reformed in character and maybe be given a 2nd chance of re- building his speedway career.
  13. Paedophile's come in all shapes and sizes and different backgrounds and sometimes the people that just did think would be. Few years back I caught out a work colleague who had been caught watching child porn, I had 6 months of having to treat this person as normal and not tell anyone at work. He was given work duties that kept him away from children. To be honest the whole episode nearly drove me to a nervous breakdown, it was the hardest 6 months of my life. Spin King Junior know all about this and knows what I went through, a nonce is a nonce and he would only use this terminology if it was true.
  14. We will go to Ipswich to get a win. But Richie Hawkins has already alluded that they will set the track up to be grippy which probably won't suit us, which is up to the home team. For me as long as we get the bonus point from Ipswich then I will be happy, so hopefully we can keep as tight as possible.
  15. Common sense regarding Jason Doyle. Jason suffered a loss of earnings. Ipswich had to field a weakened team for an away fixture. Club and rider suffered enough without further punishment.
  16. I agree, about Tungate/ Doyle. Like you say Doyle turned up on time for his flight, and the the reason for him missing the meeting was beyond his control. In the case of Tungate his flight left without him as he was late for flight, that is down to him that he did not make it back into the UK in time for his meeting. For me the two totally different reasons for missing a meeting.
  17. Slick/ Grippy We will be coming down for the win, not matter what the track is like. If we cannot win then we settle for the bonus point.
  18. If you would tie me down to who I think will win the Play Off Final, I would say that Ipswich are the team I would pick. And if the trend of what has happened in recent seasons then Ipswich will do it. 2021 Peterborough Champions Belle Vue Beaten Finalist 2022 Belle Vue Champions Sheffield Beaten Finalist 2023 Sheffield Champions Ipswich Beaten Finalist
  19. Not rare, but how many teams come to Sheffield and win? The team is built to win at home, and I believe at the moment we will be very difficult to beat on our own track. Usually if you win all of your home meeting and accumulate a number of bonus points then you will more often than not make the Play Offs. Once your in the Play Offs its anybody's game as proved last season when 3rd placed Sheffield and 4th placed Ipswich contested the Final. If for any reason it is not working for Sheffield, then expect changes, one thing the Sheffield never afraid to do is make changes and sometimes this can appear to be brutal ask Lewis Kerr.
  20. Here we my prediction will be this; (1) Glasgow (2) Poole (3) Oxford (4) Scunthorpe (5) Redcar (6) Berwick (7) Edinburgh (8) Workington (9) Plymouth
