  3. (1) Jack Holder 7.49 (2) Josh Grajczonek 7.29 (3) Nick Morris 5.38 (4) Erik Riss 6.61 (5) Charles Wright 6.52 (6) Ryan Douglas 4.66 (7) Broc Nicol 4.00
  4. He last rode in this country in 2011. His average then was 8.61 son I would imagine that is the average he would come in on.
  5. If that is the Scunthorpe team then it would suggested a points limit of either 40.5 or 41 points.
  6. No I was referring to Nicki Pedersen. Used to live in Sheffield and his English mechanics are from Sheffield.
  7. or a former World Champion other than Tai that has some Sheffield connections.
  8. A new track curator for the club. http://www.sheffield-speedway.com/news.php?extend.2808&fbclid=IwAR27vZMHhh-BKtCAoFVbzUZFt7ux8z2T1s457R2Q6LOVHX38OmAtHlfJvJA
  9. But with a 6.30 pm start how will that work with the TV, the coverage has always started at 7.30pm.
  10. No the present Promotion are still in full charge of the club.
  11. Congratulations Leicester. Young Perks definitely brought his A game to the table tonight. Also think that Joe Lawler deserves a special mention tonight scored above what most would have expected and considering the history between him and Glasgow promotion. Back to the drawing board for Glasgow, but I am sure that they will be back next season challenging for honours.
  12. I think if Poole do follow their threat to go down a league then I can see some of their boys coming up North. josh G has rode for the Promotion and loves the tracks Brady Kurtz has done a large amount of Guest bookings for Sheffield and again loves the track I can see him link up with his older brother Todd. Again Jack Holder might fancy a move up North. I can Kyle Howarth stay at the club. Thats 4 names. Other who might fancy a ride for Sheffield. David Bellego Dimitri Berge Broc Nicol Ryan Douglas Charles Wright James Shanes Erik Riss Sam Masters Josh Bates
  13. http://www.sheffield-speedway.com/news.php?extend.2805 So that's it then going up and a return to Thursday night racing.
  14. Tai has gone on record that he will only race regularly on Weekends. Meaning GP and Poland. Monday to Friday for family time.
  15. I can understand Sheffield, there has been many supporters who have wanted Thursday racing back, and this can only be achieved by moving up. Berwick have always run Saturday nights so that does not make any sense. Kent runs Mondays but have a very early curfew how is that going to work for TV. I will believe this when the announcement come form the clubs themselves, until then for me it is pure speculation from another Promoter.
  16. Interesting if we are, maybe we will be getting majority of the Poole 2019 team for us. Grajczonek Brady Kurtz Jack Holder Klindt I would imagine the possibly Howarth, and Todd Kurtz alongside one other rider.
  17. Team definitely did not perform to expectations, the away form was abysmal and cost us dearly. I have not enjoyed this season, not just from a team point but also the sport has lost its spark for me. From a team perspective the racing was not up to scratch this season, as many have said Sunday afternoons have been a disaster, and its no surprise that the best meeting of the season for the racing was the lone Wednesday evening fixture Does the sport still hold the attraction it once did, have to say no, the fragmented fixture list and poor racing has made me question whether or not I want to keep going week in week out. Hopefully next season we will go back to week day speedway at Sheffield providing we have someone to actually run the club, and at the next AGM Promoters do something about the lack of fixtures.
  18. I think we need to know what the points limit for teams will be for next season before we start looking who we are going to put in the team. I would not rule out the two top leagues merging into one league, one of the big gripes this season for many fans of clubs in the Championship has been the lack of fixtures and of course riders doubling up is another big gripe all round and has been for a number of years, merging the league would change all of that. Sheffield speedway is up for sale, but the Bates boys have said if a buyer is not found then Todd Kurtz will be the first name on the team sheet which would suggest that if a buyer is not found they will continue to run the club. One thing that I think has to happen whoever is running the club is that they ditch the Sunday afternoon racing has to be either Wednesday or Thursday night depending what league structure we race in. Personally I would go with either Macdonald or Kennedy at reserve alongside Drew Kemp. Second strings would be Kurtz and Nicol. I would go for a whole new heatleader trio possible targets I would look at; Erik Riss Ryan Douglas Jake Allen Adam Ellis Lewis Kerr Rasmus Jensen David Bellego Cameron Heeps Josh Pickering
  19. I did not go yesterday due to feeling unwell. In the past I would have made to the effort to go, but the track as been the best this season and at £20 a throw I want to see some decent racing and too be honest I was not confident. Looks like I made the right decision judging from what people are saying. The stadium does have some wonderful facilities but not for the speedway fans and with limited viewing 3rd and 4th bend and the home straight only, if you lucky enough to get a bumper crowd spectating would be very uncomfortable. The taking in food issue is solely down to stadium owners not the Promotion, its stadium owners security guards who are instructed to check bags and not allow food for the meeting, they are far more relaxed for league meetings. For me if the sport builds stadium that bill as the National Stadium then any big meetings like this should take place there. The Belle Vue has the stadia and the track to produce great racing and has the capacity to accommodate large crowds and is as central and as easy for fans to get as any other track. So for me the event has to move to Manchester.
