  1. i will go for the boring prediction, either crumpie, or rickardsson, but i want crumpie again.
  2. Weather permiting, we will be there, also forgot to mention that Dave Farley and Cheryl have been a big help.
  3. No problem, like I say I have really been impressed with every youngster down there, but do have to admit that there is a slight biase, as Spin Junior, rides there as well. I know that he has been really please how nice, they have made been to him and how they have encouraged himfrom fellow riders, Roy, Sandra, Peter, James, Track Staff and the Gents on the centre green, all have given words of encouragement. Mind you after this week it is going to cost me a small fortune, when he gets his first bike.
  4. So you ain't ben for a while I suggest you get down there and have a look at the talent on show.
  5. My question, Matousek is have you been down on Saturday to see this talent, I know people who have gone down and been surprise at the talent on show.
  6. Nothing like a bit of encouragement, Matousek, I think you need to get down there on Saturday, and talk to these kids. They are a great bunch kids who all look out for each other and encourage each other, there are no primma donnas with this lot, not to mention that they are really talented, okay some might fall by the wayside but if we can get one or two that graduate up and ride for the team then it has been a success for Sheffield Speedway, and when it happens mate I will be looking for you, because you are going to appologies to these youngsters.
  7. Yes he is impressive, but is quite a crop of youngsters down there who are all developing nicel, this is including the girls, like you say the future does look rosey.
  8. Have to agree with you there Angel, have been down most Saturday's with Spin Junior, there are talented riders, at the training track, and for me you and girls are really talented, and I don't think any of you let yourselves down Scunthorpe, I think you really did well. I urge anybody to go down to Sheffield training track to see these youngsters, they all really love there speedway, but first and foremost they have fun, and all watch out for each other.l
  9. This is what I have been saying all along, you have to see him riding in flesh to appreciate how good he really is. Have to say that he does not get the press that he should, come the guy is a British Champ.
  10. Did not Les Coliins finish runner up in the World Championship as a Leicester rider.
  11. Well done to all at the Backtrack mag, this goes from strength to strength.
  12. I used to love going to Halifax, with the long straights and the steeped banking on the bends .
  13. Anybody who has seen the boy the flesh, say the same thingit tends to be people who have only heard the hype, you really need to see the boy ride, to understand what a talent that he is.
  14. I think attendences depend upon who you home team are racing a local team can attract a big crowd, as also if you or the opposition are having a good season.
  15. Thought somebody would have made sure that John Cowboy Cook, would have been there.
  16. For me Ivan is and always will be the greatest, we have the Ove Fundin trophy, why cannot a trophy be named after Ivan, after all he has won more titles than any other rider in history. And to think when he won his sixth and final title he was not far of his 40th Birthday.
  17. Nice to hear from an old rider, what I would like to know does he still see any of his American racing buddies.
  18. Don't spoil it for me Rami. To me Tommy won that race <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Im sorry to shatter your illusions but i have watched this meeting so many times that ive worn the tape out ( got it transfered to dvd now!!!) and Bruce clearly won the race by a mile!!! lol (nothing to do with me being a cradley fan and Bruce being my all time hero honest) But as i also said i think In my era of watching speedway Tommy was the best rider never to win a world final, also watched a few videos recently of the coventry v cradley meetings from the early 80s and TK was truly awesome around Brandon ( no where near as good as Erik mind !!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nothing to do with been a Cradley fan !!!! One of the best riders never to win a world title yes I will go along with that.
  19. What about Ole Olsen, surely the best Coventry rider. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like i said Tommy was one of the greatest riders to wear the Bees race jacket. Ole was the greatest. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OOPS sorry misread the thread please accept my appologies.
  20. What about Ole Olsen, surely the best Coventry rider.
  21. The one memory of Tommy Knudsen was when he tried to put Reg Wilson into the fence at Sheffield and got a whack for it when he returing to the pits.
