  1. Howard Jones, was he not a pop star from the eighties.
  2. Goog Luck to Steady, will be nice for him to get some racing and some sun on his back.
  3. Well done to Josh and all of the boys who really deserve a big praise, there are some fine prospect out there, and if we get just one or two world class riders out of this then the whole eperience will have been worth it. I found when the youngsters rode at Sheffield they were really entertaining, and I would love to see the fixture back next season at Sheffield.
  4. Thanks for the information, Joe is a fine prospect and deserve the win, if fact I hope Mr Machin keeps a close eye on him because he took to the Sheffield track very well. Glad to hear his sponsors were there to witness his fine display, and I wish him luck for the future.
  5. Well done to all the boys, excellent entertainment, well done to Ben Hopwood for finishing 3rd. The little guy Joe Haines was great, don't know that much about him maybe, somebody will come on and let me know a bit about him.
  6. Come on Ben Hopwood, not sure whether Chris Widman will be riding took a knock down at Sheffield Training track on Saturday.
  7. Bert Harkins wore white boots.
  8. Surprised that we still have no interview with Malcolm Simmons.
  9. In the Speedway Star that Josh is going to try laser treatment on his broken wrist, to try and compete in the Under 15's.
  10. Did Cowboy John Cook have some skeleton leathers, I am sure that I seem to remember him waering some.
  11. Josh is Sean protege, I still say that the guy will somewher along the linre ride for the Blue and Gold of Sheffield.
  12. Sorry I was led to believe that he was from Sheffield, I obviously got it wrong.
  13. I think if was a bit more consistent he would have ben a multi world champ, some of the moves he makes on a speedway bike are breathtaking.
  14. Very powerful, Josh is a real special rider, I think a real find for the Scorpions in there first season.
  15. Rene should not be a problem as he still lives in Sheffield, as far as I know.
  16. This would be a good one, he was an excellent character.
  17. How was he treated, I vaguely remember, but my memory not very clear on the matter. The one thing I do remember his him sffering from diabetes, I seem to remember him being diagnosed at the peak of his career.
  18. I would say that Josh will turn out for the Scorpions, if he does you should have the pleasure of him riding the backend of this season, and the whole of the next season.
  19. Okay, I did not realise that they had again moved, the point I was getting across more than anything, was that with Rory being based in Sheffield that Josh would strike up a friendship with him. Rory did live in Sheffield for about 18 months and was a regular at Owlerton on Thursdays.
  20. I usually find that Lee seems to ride just a little bit better when he wears GB kevelars, perhaps he ought to wear them for the Grand Prix.
  21. Right okay I think he ride for Scunthorpe up to his 16th birthday, and then sign for Sheffield or an Elite club.
  22. Cannot believe that Lee Richardson, is getting slated here, the guy was ill last night, and scored a max, beat Nicki Pedersen easy what do people want.
  23. Prediction wise I think I got it spot, have say that Chris Harris was the same, if fact all the boys did us proud, I was immensly proud of them all. If Mark Loram is fit then do we go with the same five, I wish I could say yes, but I have to say that I would would with Mark Loram instead of Joe Screen, but that is taking nothing away from Screeny, who was great. Can we win the Final, well in the words of Dave Floppy Norris, BRING IT ON BOYS.
  24. I think there is a lot a speculation about Josh, and will be until his 15th birthday. This is how a see it, I think around near his fifteenth birthday he will sign for either Sheffield or and Elite club. If he signs for an Elite club or Sheffield, then he will be loaned out, to a Conference League team, for me the favourites will be Scunthorpe. I think when he reaches 16 he then ride for Sheffield, for the rest of that season, and further season at least, if he has improved enough then he will go Elite, if not then there is another season in the Premier with Sheffield. Why do I say he will ride for Sheffield, well he has stated that he wants to ride for them at some stage in his career, Sean Wilson is his mentor. The fact he hangs around with Rory Schlien, is not a surprise, as Rory lives in Sheffield, as does Josh, in fact Rory is down at Sheffield as a spectator like Simon Stead most Thursdays. This is what I think will happen, but you never know, all I will say is that Josh is a regular down at Owlerton, and I think he will at some stage turn out in the blue and gold, but as the saying goes money talks.
