  1. Looking at the weather forecast it does not seem to be too bad, not much in the way of rain, but very cold.
  2. The weather is worrying me a bit, but as long as the rain does not come heavily I think we will be on for fantastic meeting.
  3. Does anybody want to try and predict a winner, cause I cannot, I keep hedging between Simon Stead and Jason Crump.
  4. I do remember that he never quite looked happy or comfortable, really was a shame because I did think that he had a future with the club.
  5. If I remember rightly he was a Long track specialist, who had his first dabble at speedway with Sheffield. I did think that if he had stuck at it he would have made a decent second string.
  6. If they have there liscence they can ride, but the way I read it no more liscences are being handed out.
  7. Have to make sure that Iamone the first through to get my free DVD.
  8. I wonder if they will open the backstraight for this one, I can see the crowd being absolutely massive.
  9. I have a feeling that the World Number 1 will be the last competitor announced for the cracker.
  10. With Scott Nicholls finally confirmed this looks like being a meeting to remember, this really has to be one of the best testimonial line ups ever.
  11. That is a major disappointment, I hope that does not rule out Scott Nicholls, and I am very surprised with Mark Loram. Of the last four riders that are left I would love to see. Scott Nicholls Peter Karlsson Tony Rickardsson Dave Norris
  12. Now that has made it a Cracker of a meeting, Crumpie has said Sheffield is the one track he misses riding, and Nicki Pedersen is Nicki Pedersen. I keep my fingers crossed that the next are Tony Rickardson and Mark Loram, also another name not mentioned yet Andy Moore another rider I would love to see.
  13. Not to sure who the next two riders will be but I am sure that it said two former world champ's , I reckon Mark Loram and Nicki Pedersen.
  14. And the next two names to be announce for the Cracker, are two of the fastest rider around Sheffield Simon Stead and Andre Compton.
  15. The line up is really shaping up nicely, as for me asking why he is doing it gradually well it adds to the excitement.
  16. Have to agree with the posts that cannot understnd why people think Lance King was a failure, okay the guy did not win a World title like he was tipped to but the guy did well.
  17. Not going to argue with that, the leathers do look like his, I bow to Falcace's better knowledge
  18. I don't think it is Phil, as I don't thin he rode for Scunthorpe when they were called the Stags.
  19. I bow to your better knowledge.
  20. I don't think that he was an American.
  21. Yes the Ashley business does put it into proprective, all riders at all levels deserve respect.
  22. I remember Sheffield having a guy called Tommy Morley at Sheffield around 1979, nice guy, but did not have much success on the track.
  23. I would be surprised if Gary Havelock is not added to the list, I believe that they are great friends.
