Years since I was cover like that, but must admit that I deep down enjoyed it, copped a few in the face, but at least I did not get one in the mouth, like I once did when I was younger.
Well done to Wayne and his committee, for put on an excellent show that I think everybody enjoyed, young junior come away even more happy as his bid for Lee Complin's race bib was accepted at the auction, and it now sits proudly on his bedroom world with Lee's and Wayne's signature on it (Lee was his first ever favourite rider).
Would like to wish Wayne all the best and hope that he still comes down to Sheffield on Thursday.
Well done to Andre, another trophy and hopefully not the last for this season, I noticed that somebody said there was a lack of atmosphere, I think that will come eventually, and you cannot go wroong with the turn out of supporters.
Could anybody help me, could you please tell me where the ill fated Doncaster speedway track was situated in Doncaster, and who were the promoters and the riders who rode there.
I nerver saw Clive Featherby, or should I say that I am too young to remember him, but I know that he tells me that Clive was a rider that never took no prisoners.
I remember Alan Molyneaux riding for Sheffield, really surprised at the time as the track was not suited to him, and he had never gone that well at Sheffield.
He started out really poor, and seemed to fallout with the then promoter Ray Glover, but towards the end of the season he was producing some really fantastic performances.
I thought so, I believe that this was on his first visit to this country, and then he returned home after that.
Wonder if that was the only time he was ever dropped from a side.
