  1. Well he has kept it going for the most of this season, so I cannot see him renting now.
  2. Birko is averaging 6 point plus for all PL, PT and KOC meetings, is in the full body of the Sheffield team, only 27, and for the record he was nearly always there for the Sheffield Training track to encourage the youngsters before the was closed down Hope you feel a bit stupid now Matty.
  3. I know Dave and I do know about the guys background, but he is only allowed to stand on his own two feet when it comes to his racing I am not sure that he is not ambitious, once sat talking to him at the Sheffield Training track about the grading system, and how hard it had hit him, and virtually written off the chance of him getting a team place.
  4. How old do you think that David Speight really is, and how the hell can you compare hin to Stephens and Buzz Burrows.
  5. I still think that David could do job for a Conference team,
  6. No AJ that makes the Swedes even easier to beat, really starting to fancy our chance in this event.
  7. Good to get some speedway back, after the enforced absence. Some very impressive youngsters on show, one or two I would not mind seeing in Sheffield colours. Well done to young Roynon, who looked far more faster than anybody else on the night. Here is how I saw the riders performances; (1) Ben Hopwood; Appeared to blow an engine in his first race which put pay to his riding for the rest of the night. (2) Scott Anderson; Looked a bit uot of his depth. (3) Shane Waldron; Started well but tailed of at the end. (4) Karlis; This is what was in the programme for his name, sounds more like a wrestler than a speedway rider, again started pretty well but faded. (5) James Cockle; Thisn was a meeting for him to win, and I reckon third placed will have disappointed him. (6) Joe Haines; Did not score many points, but was very entertaining, has got a lovely style of riding and like some has said a style likened to Chris Harris. (7) Byron Bekker; Got better as the meeting progressed, and if he had not looped at the sart of his last race he would have probably qualified for the semi. (8) Adam Roynon; Rode well and was very fast, and deserved his win. (9) Greg Blair; Had a stop and start kind of meeting, a win in his first heat, then two lasts, and then two wins, did reach semi, and did look as though he could be a useful rider. (10) David Speight; Rode well, and made the semi, come on Conference teams somebody somewhere must be able to give this guy a try. (11) Gary Flint; Looked out of his depth. (12) Adam Chandler; Again out of his depth. (13) Simon Lambert; My dark horse for the meeting and looked totally classy surely a Premier League place is there for him, or could I suggest to the Sheffield promotion that we get his signature for next season. (14) Scott Richardson; Start with a blank which prove costly and he haad four second places, which mean't he just missed out on a smi final place, (15) Jack Roberts; Fine performance, reached the final. (16) Ben Taylor; Looked a little out of his class, probably needs to come to Sheffield more often. Not the best meeting I have ever been but, was it not good to get a meeting, and see some speedway..
  8. Ron was an Aussie if I remember rightly.
  9. Met Lynn fans at Kings Lynn, and also when they have been at our place and they all come across as nice people. No matter how hard you try you are always going have the odd nutter who will cause you problems, and embrass you and your club.
  10. I think that I would keep the team as it, no need to change it, Nicholls and Harris pick themselves, add Rico who has a brilliant record in the WTC, and we hav a good top three. Because he is in good form this season I don't think that you can ignore Eddie Kennett, the main worry is Super Simon Stead, I am massive fan of his but his form seems to have dipped lately, but he is more experienced than Ollie Allen, so I would keep Ollie at reserve.
  11. Well done to the IOW again it sounds as though the win was well deserved. As for our lot, all I have to say is typical, we go into the Rye meeting not expect anything, and then we take the bonus point, we then go too the 4's thinking that we stand a good chance of doing something and come away with a performance like this. I hope that they all get there arses kicked for it, and for the record Mr Hoggy, Birko was not riding.
  12. What about John Davis, Denis Sigalos, John Cowboy Cook, Jim Airey, Kai Neimi, Mitch Babyface Shirra.
  13. Well here goes a speedway fan not from Kings Lynn who is not going slag off JC. The guy does have a vision, and lets be fair he has raise the profile of some of these meetings, yes there have been mistakes, but I begt he will learn from these, and given the opportunity to do the same next season I bet he deos not make the same mistakes. I wonder how many of the supporters who slag him off have actually ever spoken to him, I have, and I found him somebody who I felt was the future of speedway. Brash he may come across to others, but believe me this is a guy that I feel can lead the sport into a new age, and on a last note look at the success at Kings Lynn since he came into the promotion, the guy has winner written all over him.
  14. I think that the key to this side is Lee Richardson, who over the years has rode well for Team GB, even though his form has not been great. Maybe the reason for putting David Howe at reserve is that we have a rider on form at the moment who can come in and take over anyone who is not on form. As for his performance as the wildcard on Saturday iI thought that David Howe did really well.
  15. Have to agree with you about Ricky, getting far to comfortable at Sheffield, will he be moved on, I doubt it Sheffield Window Centre might have something to say about that.
  16. Got to say that I find the fact that David Howe at reserve a surprise, with Kennett not too hot around Brandon, Steady just back from injury, surely Howe was worthy of a full place.
  17. I will admit that I thought it was to soon for him, and have been eating the alphabet spahgetti ever since. Long Live the King Bomber Harris.
  18. Asked by a workmate if I had been to Cardiff, the guy said how much he had enjoyed the racing on Sky, he is going to take himself and his Missus of to Sheffield to watch the speedway.
  19. Just got in from Cardiff, still wet from the rain going back to the coach, but what a magical performance from the man from Truro, you had a feeling all night that he was going to do somwthing that was a bit special, and man did he produce it, and he did it not by getting out of the gate first, but pure speedway racing. I have come away from Cardiff proud of all our boys, all of them have have booked there places for the World Cup team, and yer know what I reckon we can do it, after that performance tonight from Bomber we fear nobody. Well done Bomber and thank you for make all us Brit Speedway so very very proud.
  20. Reg was a good rider, but I would not put him into one of the top entertainers.
  21. Reg was a good rider, but I would not put him inmto one of the top entertainers
  22. Have to agree with the fact I too cannot understand how you could miss Shawn Moran of the list.
