  1. Halfway through next season I reckon he will be back on a bike, and if he comes to Britain don't be surprised if it is with Poole.
  2. I agree, I think that this thread has worn itself out.
  3. Have to admit I did not realise that Bob was involved.
  4. Okay everybody happy that the mans name is out, at the time I did not know when he retired in either 74/75 I wuold only be 10 or 11, it was later that I was told he was gay, after his death. I vaguely remember that the inquest said that he had suffered for quite a few years with depression, no mention that he was having problems with his sexuallity.
  5. Does it really matter, the man has been dead for quite sometime now, and I don'tthink that does any good to bring it back up. Let the man rst in peace.
  6. Don't know about Daniel, but James will be 14 next month, so will not be able to ride Conference League until 2009, and Premier League until 2010.
  7. And before anybody points it out to me I have forgot girls as well as boys, interesting that Montanna Jowett was at Scunthorpe today, first time I have seen her, must say that I was impressed.
  8. First things first, I have never ever met you, and I can assure you that I have spoken to Mark today, and he and my son are friends. Right back to what I have said about James and the rest of the boys who take up our great sport. I support youngsters like James and your son who have a talent, the biggest disappointment for me was that the rounds of Under 15's has been diluted , these boys need more rides and more tracks need to be for them to ride. In the past we have seen the speedway training academy has gone where youngster were shown all kinds aspects to help them with a speedway career, again something that I have supported on this forum. I can also tell that after speaking to Mark James dad today I said that I would like to back James next season with a bit of money, it won't be much I am not a wealthy man, and I don't have business I am fan who cares about the future of this sport. I have also promised to talk to friends who have businesses too see if they are interested in backing him.
  9. listen m8 why would he lie about mark being at scunny. 1.yes mark was there without james and said he was going to wash down his bikes somtime this week. 2.y would spin king lie it has no satisfaction for himself. 3.and how i know hes not lieing is because i was stood next him while he was talking to mark CASE CLOSED FULL STOP. spin king jnr
  10. Little bit shy is young James, but once you get to know him, he is one of the nicest lads you could ever wish to meet, he has become a good friend of my lad, and gives him loads of encouragement and help with his riding. Just a footnote James was not at Scunthorpe with his dad, why because he was stripping down his bikes and getting them cleaned up, totally dedicated youngster. Practice this winter for him will be working on his starting technique.
  11. Spoke with James Sargeant dad today at Scunthorpe, both a tad disappointed not to take the title, but be warned James will be back next season, determined to take the title, and I would not bet against this youngster.
  12. To be honest I know the name of the rider who this thread has refered to, and to be honest I don't think it matters whether a rider is gay or not, has nothing to do with anybody other than themsleves.
  13. Only 13 years old James Sargeant will be back next year, this was only his 2nd year competing a this level, the lad should be proud with his progress.
  14. Apologies for been a little bit grumpy, but to be honest I am getting a bit faed up of reading about this rider and that rider when young James, who is still only 13 has a very good chance of claiming the title, but does not seem to be getting the recognition for his efforts.
  15. What a aggrogant post, maybe the rest of the boys should not bother turning up and just hand the title to young Brendan, because he is destined for the title. The lads who are top of the table are there on merit.
  16. Okay, just that nobody seems to mention James, keep hearing the name Jason Garrity, I know both boys, both very good riders, but I would give James the edge over Jason 9 times out of ten.
  17. Don't write off Sarg, he had never seen Northside and won, very talented youngman and still only 13.
  18. Who are you refering to Knudsen or Pedersen.
  19. And what exactly do you mean.
  20. Tommy was not a rider I took too, but would be nice to see what he is up to, also talking of Danes what about Jan O Pedersen.
