British Final
spin king replied to BrandonBomber's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I think riders who could be looking good for the wildcard will be Tai, Eddie Kennett and Simon Stead, and for a outside bet don't discount James Wright. -

I did see YFC, did not recognise him at first all sun tanned and a cross between an Aussie and Yorkshire accent. -

I think the clue into the way Tai, think is the way his Father thinks, I remember an interview when Tai first came over when they interviewed his Dad Rob, when asked whether he felt like an Aussie, Rob said that if Aussie were facing a nation other than England then he supported the Aussies, but if it was England then he supported England. Tai is strongly infleunced by Rob so I reckon the clues into what Tai will do in the future lie there. -

Oh come on the guy has been living in Aussie for most of his life, of course it will take time for him to get used to recognising the nation of his birth, he has nailed his colours to Britain, and lets be grateful that such a talented guy has chosen us over the Aussies. What is it with this country that we feel that we have to bring people down a peg or two, for godsake leave the lad alone, this country needs the likes of Tai, and to be honest given the choice Tai or Lewis Bridger, I know which one I would choose. Or maybe the clue is in the fact that he is Wolves asset. -

Olsen Must Go
spin king replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Sub is probably right, the man has so much power over the sport, but it is time for him to go that track was an absolute disgrace, and as race director he should be accountable for me the he should do the honourable thing as resign. -

I am glad to hear that Andreas is not as badly injuried as first feared, it looked like a terrible accident, and I am amazed that no bones were broken. Is it now not time for somebody to bring Ole Olsen to book, the track was an absolute disgrace, and if the reporta that they have had months to prepare the track then I am afraid Mr Olsen has a lot to answer for, how we did not see a nore serious accident I will never know. -
Thanks for that Whippy.

To be honest, I seem to remember reading in the old speedway yearbook that he retired from speedway to take up a post with the Newcastle Social Services and then returned to Aussie. I could be wrong though.

I tell you waht if it was I would not put it past to reach the final if it was at Sheffield, the guy is awsome around there, I think that Swindon might just be to his liking as well. -

spin king replied to Rob B's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
If they could get Tomas Gollob and Nicki Pedersen in that line up then I think they would get alot of supporters interested in this meeting. -
Did he not retire from speedway to become a Social Worker.

Sorry but he has not pulled out, he actually signed at the beginning of the season stating that he did not want to be considered for the meeting. -

Okay that was Poland where the sport is massive, but the end of the day I think that something needs to be done, people come to see racing, but we are not getting it at the moment, maybe it is the likes of Ole Olsen who should step aside and let someone else in to do the job, can really get excited about a person who talks about a synthetic surface for speedway. -

Makes you wonder if the Grand Prix system is no longer the big event that it was, for me it is getting like Formula 1 where only a handful of riders really stand a chance to win the event or stand a chance, the rest are also rans, not stop me going to Cardiff again this year, but does make me wonder whether the series needs a good looking at. -
I think that you might find that both Chris and Neil have already been featured.
