  1. Thanks for the info, I was really disappointed to miss the youngsters.
  2. Must admit that I was sat in a different place in the stadium this year so maybe my view around the stadium was not as good as previous years, but I still think that there was more people last year.
  3. I am sure that this referee was the same referee that once excluded Crumpy three times in GP, and he was a disgrace, and should be kicked out of GP refereeing, and it doers make me wonder if Bjarne Pedersen and Leigh Adams were Polish would the outcome have been different.
  4. Missed the youngsters, could anyone please tell me how James Sargeant went.
  5. Comparing it to the last couple of years that I have been I thought it was pretty quiet, especially out on the streets, and their definately did not seem to be so many people about.
  6. Certainly did not look that many there, I would have taked 10k of that figure.
  7. Absolutely correct Lupus, Nicki is a ruthless character, and that is why he has been World Champ twice, he does not care who he upsets along the way, and the crows booing him will not have bothered him one iota. Nicki is brilliant at playing the mind games, and he knows exactly what he is doing, and I hate to say this, that is why the nice man Leigh Adams has never and will never be crowned World Champion, he does not have the ruthless streak about.
  8. Well been back about half and hour and throughly enjoyed the meeting especially as I had two quid on Jason Crump to win, so I have won a bit of money. First of the crowd to me appeared to be down, walking around before the meeting, there did not seem to be the same amount of people walking about, not as noisey as well, and the bars were nowhere near as full, and looking around the stadium there certainly did not look to be anything like 40,000 people. Onto the meeting, I thought it was a decent meeting, this was my third year at Cardiff and the racing has got better every year, had to feel for Bjarne Pedersen and Leigh Adams, certainly think that they can feel hard done to with the referee decisions, especially Bjarne who rode his best Grand Prix this season, Adams was below par most of the night. and I was struggling to qualify, but even so the their exclusions shoulf never had happened. Now onto the present Speedway World Champ, Nicki Pedersen, where would we be without him, where would the Grand Prix be without this rider, I love the guy, I think that he plays the villian brilliantly, never a dull moment around when Nicki is around. The guy had a poor night as he always seems to have at Cardiff yet he still makes the final, and still leads the Championship, and still yet to win a Grand Prix, and chances are he will be crown Champion again. And does Nicki worry that the crowd boo him and don't care for him or that they want to see him lose, does he hell, and he will do it with that smirk upon his face, like I say he will always be the villian of the piece, but does he care, does he hell. Onto the two British Grand Prix riders Nicholls and Harris, both had their best Grand Prix's this season, Bomber got the ball rolling really with his win in his first race, and Scotty got better as the meeting progressed, of the two I felt that Scott was the better, but I think that he bottled it in the Final, and I think that he missed one of his best chances to win a Grand Prix, with the tape breaking in the final, Bomber did really well I thought to make his first semi. And Finally to the winner Jason Crump, rode well again and fully deserved his Grand Prix win, I know that when I was thinking of who to back to win , I chose Jason on his present form, and the fact that he had not won a Grand Prix for sometime. He now turns the screw and puts pressure on Nicki Pedersen for the title, and I will be interested to see how both riders deal with the next Grand Prix.
  9. Congratulations to Workington Comets Premier League Pairs Champs 2008.
  10. Well said Crikey, it is day before this meeting, does not give time for preparation for riders, also things like programme's that have already been printed, also what about any Brummie fans that have planned to take in this meeting, to watch their own riders, would be very unfair in my opinion.
  11. Half time they usually surprise us with a special guest hope is not Cliff Richard.
  12. What you telling me you don't like that classic Snooker Loopy.
  13. looking forward to seeing Belinda Carlisle , that will take back to my younger days, they usually have a special surprise Guest appearance at half time, who can forget year was Chas n Dave, who I thought were both dead, bit of a shock when they came out a sung that classic number Rabbit, nearly choked on Shadders jellied eels.
  14. I seem to remember Simon Cross has already been featured, and I know that Mtch Shirra has been featured.
  15. Well Done Steady and Daniel King, great to see two Brit's through, as Subedei, just for once give credit where it is due a qualification is a qualification.
  16. I am going for the rider that most have written off Scott Nicholls, beating Crump, Adams and Pedersen in the final, and I can see Pedersen stretching his Championship lead further.
  17. I remember him been at Sheffield in the early 80's, but he was way past his best by then, I remember him when he burst on the scene, he was very much the Tomas Gollob of his day.
  18. Well Done to Tai, a second lace in this kind of field was again a success.
  19. This is the next big test for Tai, I think that the bold predictions that he can win the meeting are just that bold, I would be content with him qualifying as this a quality field.
  20. Never like the way this season's qualifications were decided, I would much prefer to see the teams with the highest averages go into this competition, which would see Kings Lynn qualify surely, and it seems a shame that the Stars are not there.
