Poole to move back into the Premiership. Jack Holder to Poole Jason Doyle to Sheffield.
-
Only ever been to 2 STAARS meetings. They usually have at least one person from the club attend, Peter Mole is nearly always there. They have had some sort of Q/A when I have been but like I say I have only ever been twice.

Premiership race nights.
spin king replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You mean Leicester and Sheffield swapping league's. -
Not the full package? Only Jack Holder, Dan Bewley and Sam Masters managed the higher average last season. 50% of all his rides for Sheffield were either winning races or paid wins. He is British and qualifies for a reduction on his average. He is on record as wanting to comeback to the club next season He will do for me.

Very difficult to work out a team for next until we have make up of the league's and points limit. But of the riders we used this season. Jack Holder 8.68, I would keep for next season, has stated that he wants to continue riding in the UK, but a lot will depend on the Poles top league and where they will stipulate where riders will be allowed to ride. Adam Ellis 7.92, Again I would keep him, he wants to stay and the Promotion appear to want him back Josh Pickering 7.06 Again I would like him to stay, became a massive crowd favourite. Kyle Howarth 6.04, Jury out, I think we need to see what the points limit is and what riders may be available. Troy Batchelor 5.57 On such a low average I would be tempted to say yes, but I don't think having Sheffield as a home track, so for let him go. Stefan Nielsen 3.00 On that average and what I saw of him last season, would definitely sign him up. Danyon Hulme Rising Star, Did well, but I would like to explore other options let him go. So those definite starters for me would be; Jack Holder 8.68 Adam Ellis 7.92 Josh Pickering 7.06 Stefan Nielsen 3.00 Total 26.66 Based on 36 points and a Rising Star. That would leave us 9.34 for the last two spots. So I would go with Jake Allen 4.80 Ben Cook 4.00 Rising Star Dan Thompson

Belle Vue -V- Sheffield POSF 2nd leg
spin king replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Quick question. Assuming both Peterborough and Belle Vue win through to the Play Off Final. Would they then be able to use Sheffield and Wolves riders as Guest's in the Final. -
Belle Vue -V- Sheffield POSF 2nd leg
spin king replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looking what is available to replace injured Kurtz, R/R is the best way forward. Been able to use Bewley, Worrall twins and Wright, the team should be able to cover Kurtz's points rather than bringing a Guest replacement. -
That is very sad news, lets hope that this is not a false promise.

Sheffield vs Belle Vue 30/09/21 POSF 1st leg
spin king replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well Done Belle Vue, I cannot see us pulling this one out of the bag, we were for the big underdogs to win the play offs, so was not expecting us to win this Semi. But I thought we could have at least win the home leg. This result sums up our season inconsistent. If as I suspect Peterborough win the Semi I can see Belle Vue beating them over two legs in the Final. As for Jack Holder not shaking hand or acknowledging opponents after the race frankly I don't care, as long as he is racking up the points for the team and acknowledger's the crowd I am happy. And hopefully we can have Jack back in the team next season. Add Adam Ellis, Josh Pickering and Stefan Nielsen to the team sheet next season. Lets see what the points limit is for next season who I think that we need to add to the team. Finally good luck to the Aces for the Final, and hopefully they can get that Play Off Final win. -
King's Lynn v Sheffield 09/09/21
spin king replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Jack Thomas has been showing some decent form lately. With Nielsen riding well above his current Premiership average the riders available for us to use as Guest replacements is very limited. And they are unlikely to score the points that Stefan would have potentially scored. -
Belle Vue -V- Sheffield (Eurosport) Monday 06/09
spin king replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You cannot re-sign a rider that you have previously dropped. I think that you can use them as a Guest rider, maybe someone who know the rules better than me will correct me if I am wrong. Could be that James has decided that he does not want to ride for the club after been dropped. -

He suffered broken ribs, broken collarbone and a punctured lung. Don't think we will see him ride again this season. The replacement Kyle Bickley appears to be the one tomorrow, for the rest of the season who knows, but with the transfer window shut we are not likely to get anyone any better than Bickley. -

I would say that the whole of the top 5 need to be on their best form. -

Kings Lynn Stars v Sheffield Tigers 19/08/21
spin king replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hopefully the situation at Kings Lynn gets sorted. Maybe the sponsor who took over the Team Manager role could take on the Owner/ Promoter role.. As for the meeting been called off. Riders don't get to call off meetings, Referee's do. -

Brilliant win for Adam. Been superb for us at Sheffield this season, been a very under rated rider in my opinion. -

I don't see a problem with that. Would give extra rides to riders who have committed to a season in British speedway. Might also convince my own club to make Danyon Hulme a permanent replacement. Might be some issues with say the Aussie riders who might decided they want go home earlier. But the concept and the principal I totally agree. -
Witches Vs Tigers

Hearing Craig Cook was suffering from a badly stubbed big toe. -
Agree totally, and recent interview Steady more or less hinted that Josh was not coming back anytime soon. For me James Shanes is the best out there available to take on the roles. But whether it is James Shanes or another rider, we need to get a rider in to replace to give a settled side. The alterative is that we continue to use available Guest riders and finish up using the likes of Kyle Bickley who is frankly not the answer.

Or maybe Heeps was instructed not to pass Batchelor so Kings Lynn could use the tactical substitute in the next race as they did. Batchelor may have been trying to get Heeps to pass him so that Lynn could not use the tactical substitute. This sort of thing has happened before.

Nicki Pedersen is on record as saying he would be open to come ride for Sheffield if his Polish team failed to make the Play Offs. https://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/8677/pedersen-still-eyes-tigers-role

I am sure I read at the start of this season that they were cancelling the cut off for signing and changes.
