I think that there is two steps into the pub, but you can access the Garden at the rear of the pub where are there are no steps,as far as my memory serves me there are no steps from the garden into the pub where the toilets are,if there is it will only be the one,but I will definitely find out for you.

Now I have your attention please read below. Both myself and Bluejam are trying to arrange a meeting at a pub before the PLRC, for fans all to get together and create a party atmosphere before the meeting, a little bit like the Prince of Wales in Cardiff before the British GP. In the past people have gone to the Crown just outside the stadium, but both myself and Bluejam are suggesting this year a new venue The New Barrack Tavern. The New Barrack Tavern is about 100 yards from the stadium, has two rooms a covered walled garden, and also does food including a carvery on a Sunday, which although I have not sampled myself Bluejam has and it looked very tasty and I think if are wanting food I would reccomend that you book. It would be really good if we could get as many supporters from as many clubs as possible, and a chance for supporters to meet up with old and new friends. The pub has its own website which is www.dosch-uk.com/barrack.htm, so you can look for yourself as to what it is like. Not sure I would agree with you with Larsen and Doolan, although Larsen did have a good meeting at Sheffield first time around this season, but the second meeting he looked pretty average compared. The same goes for Kevin Doolan, who generally has been poor at the PLRC,but on the other hand Topinka a rider that many might not fancy always seem to have his best Sheffield performances at Sheffield. I think that Darcy Ward's is meeting favourite, like you say if he keeps his head, but if does not I can see Jonno in,and I reckon no one should rule out Ty Proctor.

Having seen most of the riders around Sheffield season who are in the PLRC, I haver seen them all bar Emil Kramer and Tomas Topinka. This is how I see the riders going. Berwick; Michal Makovsky; Very unpredictable around Sheffield,I don't think he can win it,but he could be a spoiler. Birmingham ; Tomas Piszcz; Already won the Pairs with Jason Lyons so he proved that he can do it on the big occasion, and he will have a large contingent of the red and yellow brigade supporting but like Makovsky I only see him as a spoiler. Edinburgh ; Ryan Fisher; I don't think that he can put in a consistent performance around Sheffield, and I certainly don't see him winning. Glasgow ; Shane Parker; Bit of form at the moment, but you can never rule out Shane at Sheffield, and if he is up for it he could well cause an upset. Personally I don't see him winning. Kings Lynn ; Darcy Ward; If he keeps his head then he has an excellent, Sheffield is one of his favourite tracks, and I have him as one the favourites to win. Kings Lynn; Tomas Topinka; His best performances around Sheffield tend to be at the PLRC, don't be surprised if he makes the Final. Newcastle; Kenni Larsen; Too inconsistent, but will be good experience for the lad. Newport ; Leigh Lanham; Another rider who lacks consistency around Sheffield. Redcar; Ty Proctor; One of my tips for the title ,very fast and very determined rider, who I can see winning the meeting. Rye House; Chris Neath; Never scored that many points around Sheffield, and I don't see him changing for this meeting. Scunthorpe; Magnus Karlsson; Don't think he can win it,but could be a spoiler. Sheffield ; Ricky Ashworth; Home track advantage, and has his chance to shine, but I think he can make the final maybe, but not the title. Somerset Steve Johnston; Will be there or there about,my tip to make the Final. Somerset; Emil Kramer; No chance of winning. Stoke; Jason Bunyan; Rides Sheffield well and could well be a contender for a place in the Final. Workington; Kevin Doolan; Could be a surprise struggler, certainly don't see him winning the title .

British Riders
spin king replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think that he is a bright intelligent young lad, and after listening to him on Sky I think that he would have the correct mental attitude to cope with it,the thing that would need to do is surround himself with the correct people, and I am sure that would happen. -

I think that if GB are to be given two wild card entries, then I think that two new riders should be given a chance , so I would go for Tai Woffenden and Lee Richardson, but who knows maybe the organisers will not choose any British riders. -
It has to be sometime soon, but it looks like a very tasty line up if they go on the present averages; Berwick; Josef Franc Birmigham; Tomas Piszcz Edinburgh; Ryan Fisher Glasgow; Shane Parker and James Grieves Kings Lynn; Darcy Ward and Tomas Topinka Newcastle; Kenni Larsen Newport; Leigh Lanham Redcar; Ty Proctor Rye House; Robert Mear Scunthorpe; Magnus Karlson Sheffield Ricky Ashworth Somerset; Steve Johnston Stoke; Jason Bunyan Workington; Kevin Doolan

I love the magazine in its present format, to take it on the net would not be for, and I would not have the patience to read it, love the Rod Haynes column, and how about interview some of the present day riders who rode in the 80's that are still riding, and find out what they find different, Paul Fry,Mark Burrows,Gary Havelock and it would be very interesting to hear the views of Andy Silver. Also how about a feature on Polish riders, akin to the one for the USA riders, could do the same for the Swedes, Danes, Aussies and the Czech's. I totally disagree that the magazine has run out of things to discuss, and I still think that it an excellent publication.

And the last two occasions it has been Magnus Zetterstrom and Tai Woffenden, out 9 PLRC meetings Sheffield have provided 4 winners Sean Wilson three and Andre Compton once, I would not say that proves home track adavatage. -

Some excellent ideas and I like them, the starting gate reacted we had at Sheffield for the Garry Stead Benefit Meeting last season and was good fun. Also like the Soak the Promoter, problem is would be find time to watch the speedway as the queue's would be miles long for this stall.
