To be honest whether it is at Sheffield, Rye House or any other track, the main thing is that the meeting is run. The only fair way to do it is move the venue around to allow fans that do not have transport can attend the event.

I think it would take a brave Promoter to run a meeting this winter looking at the weather forecasts for the next 5 to 6 weeks.

I think that saying the crashes were not caused by the handicap format is very debatable, all I will say is that I don't like the handicap format for me encourages over riding, it is bad enough asking top riders to do it but to ask young riders to do it is not a very good idea, these are riders who are at the start of their careers and maybe don't have the control and the track craft of a more experienced riders, and if something goes wrong as it did for Craig Cook they can be left with a big repair bill, and at this stage of their career they can ill afford.

Glad to hear that the lad is okay, but sorry to hear that the faces a massive repair bill, I really do think that it was not wise to run a meeting like this via a handicap format, it encourages young riders to over ride, I hope in the future they revert back to a normal format.

Very good first race, but I think that he had to lay down the bike to avoid the fallen Kyle Howarth and damaged his bike, not too sure as I was busy trying to sort out my texting at the time.

I am telling you last season Darcy Ward won the same event, and I predicted big things of Darcy, and tonight Taylor won the meeting and would say that Taylor is just as good, an exceptional talent .

Not a bad meeting, and I think the small crowd who attended the meeting witnessed the next big thing to come out of Aussie young Taylor Poole who looks as though he will have Premier League teams queuing up for his signature, but hardly surprising as he looks pure class. Something I put forward in 2007, but most people thought it was unworkable. Here was my idea; Just sat here thinking of how to change the Premier Legue Riders Championship, and I have come up with this idea. It is in a Grand Prix style, so here we go. Take the top 15 riders from the previous season, not including riders who have move up to the Elite League. In the case of last season these would be; Zetterstrom Somerset Havelock Redcar Parker Glasgow Compton Sheffield Topinka Kings Lynn Lyons Birmingham Nermark Kings Lynn Holder IOW Boxall Rye House Wright Workington Ashworth Sheffield Neath Rye House Stead Stoke Stancl Glasgow Franc Newcastle Every track would host a meeting on the lines of who ever scores the most points win the meeting, with the winner getting 16, second 15, third 14 and so on down to the last rider getting one point. The 16th rider would be wild card of the host tracks choosing, this would mean that those tracks that don't have top 15 rider will still have some interest in the meeting. In the event of a top 15 rider been injuries then his place would be taken by the next rider on the list from the averages from last season i.e. Makovsky of Berwick and so on. Doing this you could see who is the best rider in premier, there would be no track advantage, as all tracks would be used. Also I think that it would be easy to get decent sponsor, as it will country wide ranging from Edinburgh to IOW. What does everybody else think, no doubt I hve missed something does everybody think it might be a goer let me know.

I take peoples point about neutral tracks, but at the end of the day it appears that when it is held at Sheffield more people turn up for the meeting than they did do at the last neutral track, and at the end of the day the BSPA want to make the money. I still don't agree with the home track advantage though, the meeting was a straight 20 heats the winner is the rider with the most points then yes I think that there might be a point,but winner is decided by one race the final,and you could have been the top man in the meeting and still lost.
