  1. Absolute cracking Grand Prix, and something I have been waiting for sometime. Surely Ole Olsen should be banned from all speedway tracks in the World, as soon as he leaves the Grand Prix the meetings get 100% better, and big Well Done for Tony Olsson for doing the blindingly obvious. Also enjoyed listening to Gary Havelock in the studio, never afraid to speak his mind and been brutally honest. As for the Brits, Well Done Bomber Harris, a semi final place and 1st Grand Prix up into 8th place is a decent start, Tai looked out of sorts and never got going, but his first Grand Prix, and I am sure that he learn from the experience. End of the day the best rider won for me overall, but plenty suggest that this could well be a very competitive Grand Prix series and I for one are looking forward to the next one, a long time since I could sauy that.
  2. Would add Ben Barker to that list as well, and don't be surprised if Josh Auty qualifies as well.
  3. Don 't riders have to apply to ride in these meetings rather than invitation, seem to remember Mark Loran not getting a place a few years back when his application was either lost or sent in too late.
  4. Taken from the BSPA website the line ups for the British Semi Finals; KING’S LYNN LINE-UP: Lee Richardson, Chris Harris, Edward Kennett, Lewis Bridger, Simon Stead, James Grieves, Leigh Lanham, Chris Schramm, Joe Haines, Ben Wilson, Adam Roynon, Jason King, Carl Wilkinson, Paul Clews, Luke Bowen, (Chris Mills, reserve) SHEFFIELD LINE-UP: Scott Nicholls, Tai Woffinden, Ricky Ashworth, David Howe, Andre Compton, Daniel King, Josh Auty, James Wright, Richard Hall, Andrew Tully, Oliver Allen, Ben Barker, William Lawson, Robert Mear, Jordan Frampton, Jason Bunyan, (Richard Lawson, reserve).
  5. I think generally we go to meeting with a line up like today at Rye, and I think people's expectations are very high, and rarely does it live up to it.
  6. Like Paulco says very honest of you, but like he says many track curators will be having trying to sort out problems with the track. I think most people who will have attended will have just been pleased to see some racing and all for a very worthwhile cause.
  7. Can all fans attending the meeting follow these instructions. (1) If you are planning to meet up for a pre meeting drinks, can please do it at the nearest coffee shop, do not go to the pub, if you find the pub to tempting please restrict yourself to no more than one drink, and use a straw it will make your drink last longer. (2) No Shouting. (3) No Air Horns. (4) No reserving seats with your coats. (5) If you must have curry make sure you don't spill it, it stains your jeans (That one is for Shadders) (6) No Brummies fans. (7) No negative reference to the Rye House track, i.e, calling it Dry House, or any reference to how much dust there is in the air or where is the dirt. (8) Enjoy yourself Happy now Bramble.
  8. I too have never seen that clip before, but it is truely inspirational.
  9. Quite agree, I think if anyone owes him the meeting it is the Stoke promotion.
  10. Has a rider waited any longer to get his testmonial meeting.
  11. Said in the Speedway Star that he is making a good recovery from the injury, so I would think that he will be riding if he has accepted the invitation.
  12. For those complaining about Fillip Sitera inclusion, what to try and the remember that the lad offered and rode in last seasons Ben Fund meeting, even though he had British club, and paid for his own airfare.
  13. I reckon before much longer they will get rider or two for Sam to race against, he rode against Wayne Carter at Wayne's testimonial meeting at Scunthorpe.
  14. Its called money= top brief.
  15. Don't givw up the day jobs guys.
  16. Could he be the same Howard Cole, who went onto ride for Cradley and Stoke.
