  1. No one from Worky Comets at the moment, but you are more than welcome to join us.
  2. You must be just back from Wolvehampton, looks like I can put the tent back into storage.
  3. Its was last year, so I would imagine that it will be this year.
  4. Nice to hear that you had a change of heart, I suppose you won't want that programme getting.

I will be banging out more PMs to people with invites. There will be plenty of banter, and anyone who witnessed the banter between the man in the Pink Body Warmer Drac and the lady will with the Annie Lennox Haircut Bandit4eva's Mum will tell you that it was legendary, and having read facebook recently it could get even more interesting.
  6. Lee Complin could well be a Dark Horse for the PLRC, if rides like he did in the Gary Stead meeting especially.
  7. Could have been an off night, was really good when he came for the league match, looked a pale shadow of that rider.
  8. You have to admire Coops, and the thing about Coops is that he always has time for the fans, watch him last night apologizing for his writing been poor when signing an autgraph for some young kids. I just hope that he takes his time and is careful about a comeback, the lad has suffered some awful injuries over the years.
  9. Don't usually go in for individual meetings, but have to say I quite enjoyed this one. Well Done Ricky Ashworth the best rider on the night, closely followed by Hugh Skidmore. Biggest disappointment on the night was Ryan Fisher, and how poor he was, if he has any designs on winning the PLRC he will have to do alot better than that. Finally great to see Captain Paul Cooper at Owlerton.
  10. After seeing nearly all the riders around Sheffield this season this how I see the rider going. 2010 Qualified Riders 1 Joe Screen New to the Premier League, and what a class act the guy is. Would have quite possibly gone through the card when he came to Sheffield, but for an egine failure, and frankly none of the Sheffield boys got near him, for me has to be one of the favourites for the title. 2 Ryan Fisher Only his Mum and Edinburgh fans love The Fish, if you believe everything you read on here, but no doubting that the guy can ride a speedway bike, and I have him a possible favourite for the title. 3 Linus Sundstrom Not seen him at Sheffield this season as he was injured when Rye came to Sheffield, so have to base it on what I saw last season and his form this season. Unusually for a Rye rider he does ride Sheffield well, and has come on a bundle this season, but I don't see him as a favourite more of a spoiler. 4 Kenni Larsen Been in fine form this season, but of the three Newcastle heatleaders I think that he is probably the weakest. Alot will depend upon how he gates, so I only see him as a spoiler I am afraid. 5 Jason Lyons Lyonsie is a class rider, who has been in absolutely brilliant form this season, but I don't think that Sheffield is one of his favourite tracks, but I think with the form that he is in I think he could well be one of the favourites 6 David Howe If this was staged at the start of the season I would have him down as a favourite for the meeting, but his form has tailed off as the season has gone along, and think that he will be way down the order. 7 Adrian Rymel Adrian, can ride Sheffield very well, but I don't think that he can do it consistently so I would say that he will more of a spoiler. 8 Gary Havelock Had a better season, in what has turned out to be a poor Redcar team, basing purely what I have seen him at Sheffield this Havvy looked very poor, and do not see than finshing anything but lower down the order. 9 Josh Auty Magic man, The Entertainer Josh has been pure entertainment around Sheffield this season, but his form has been a bit patchy since he hurt his back at Berwick, and in a meeting like the PLRC gating will be important and gating is his weakness. I think that he will win races, but the weakness in his gating will cost him, and see him as a spoiler rather than a favourite.(But I hope I am wrong) 10 Cory Gathercole For me there are better riders in Somerset team around Sheffield, looked well off the pace last night and I could sum up his chances in two words "No Chance". 11 Leigh Lanham Had a decent season, but like Gathercole I think that there are far better riders around Sheffield in the Newport side,Kyle Legault or Kim Nilsson would do alot better. I can only see him finishing down the field. 12 Tomas Topinka Another rider who is not had a very good season due to injuries, and I don't think that Sheffield is one of his favourites, I think that he will finish down the field. 13 Rusty Harrison Rusty has done well to qualify for this meeting, in the past he has had good meetings and some poor meetings at Sheffield. But with this field been so strong I can only see him finishing welldown the field. 14 Taylor Poole Again another rider who has done really well to get this far, he is a rider with true potential, but I am afraid that this will be too stronger field for him to make a mark. Wild Cards 15 Travis McGowan Travis has done well at Glasgow, but I think that he is beatable a round Sheffield, and I have him down as a spoiler. 16 Rene Bach Gets the last wild card pick, and for me could be the surprise package of the meeting, rides Sheffield very well and I think that he could well be one of the favourites. Who will be the winner My heart wants to say Josh Auty But my head says the winner will come from the following 4 riders. Joe Screen Ryan Fisher Jason Lyons Rene Bach
  11. Won't matter as it will not be 2nd highest average heatleader from the another club my guess is that the line up will be something like this. Berwick; Rymel Birmingham; Lyons Edinburgh; Ryan Fisher Glasgow; Joe Screen Kings Lynn; Tomas Topinka Newcastle; Kenni Larsen Newport; Leigh Lanham Redcar; Gary Havelock Rye House; Linus Sundstrom Scunthorpe; David Howe Sheffield; Josh Auty or Ricky Ashworth Somerset; Cory Gathercole Stoke; Taylor Poole Workington; Craig Cook And the other two places will be Mark Lemon Travis McGowan
  12. The Sheffield qualifier is as tight as it gets, I make it that Josh Auty has got it 0.01 of a margin over Ricky Ashworth.
  13. Top rider from each team, plus the two highest 2nd place riders in a team, looks like the last two places will go to Travis McGowan and Mark Lemon.
  14. The man in Pink needs to watch himself as the Vicar and his son are going to keep him in order.
  15. I know I was about throw a wobbler there, I thought they actually wiped it off.
  16. Got all of your attention, its coming to that time of year where we are getting close to the PLRC, and after last years very successful get together with fans, I planning another one this year again in the New Barrack Tavern close by the stadium. I think that all who attended last year will agree it was a raging success, and throughly enjoyed a pre drinks before the meeting and some really good natured banter and the chance for friends old and new meet and have a chat. On the day we will have Squall's predictions game, and posting on here after the PLRC Fans Awards, so it is all good fun, and last year we managed to get fans from nearly all the clubs in the PLRC, the clubs not have anyone there were Newcastle, Newport, Scunthorpe and Somerset, so it would be nice to see fans from these clubs there. I already have word that the man in Pink from Recar Drac and his Pack will be there, as well as Rye House's Shadders along with Bandits4eva, but unfortunately one person that will be missing will be my good friend from Birmingham BlueJam, who is away on holiday in Sardina. So everyone lets celebrate the best league in British Speedway, with the friendliest fans, everyone is invited.
  17. Does anyone have any further news on this fixture, or any weather updates.
  18. Well that is my Sunday sorted, I will take Zielona to beat Gorzow, Leszno to win and Torun.
  19. I thought tonight I was finally gonna get you to buy me a pint.
