  1. Who gives a toss, I will be watching that other rare and precious Team GB talent Tai Woffenden instead, mind you if Tai had a surname that ended in ov, then we might just have seen you start a similar thread.
  2. Read through all these posts, and what a really pathetic thread. Fair play to Middlo come on here and having his say, and total respect to him, I think that the guy is an excellent manager, but it was time to go for him, the words he had took them as far as he could spring to mind, nothing wrong with that and it happens to the best of managers in sport. Come on people we are judging Jim Lynch here on one performance, yes I think that he made a bad call going into the meeting with Simon Stead and Oliver Allen, and I would have gone with Tai Woffenden and Eddie Kennett, but I seem to remember a hell of lot peopleon here were sceptical on having Tai in the team anyway, and would have Middlo took the bold move, I don't know only he knows that, but history will show that I think he would not have. Onto the Captain Ego Subedei, how can you take the man serious when he waits until page 10 and numerous posts before he realises that we lost last night because of Simon Stead, and then he realises that this was a team event and then has a go at the Nicholls, but if you are British then Subedei is going to have a go. I tend to try and look at the positives, in the middle of the meeting team GB, came alive and started to show us that they can compete, we were a matchfor the other teams then, but it showed what we are capable of and what we can do, and I think that we need to look to draw a line under this meeting and move on. I just hope that if we don't qualifyfor the Final people lay of the likes of Tai and Eddie, what team GB needs to do is to plan for the future we need to put our faith in the Youth of team, and give them tlme, both Eddie and Tai are the top of a bunch of potentially very good crop of youngsters that we have in this country, and what is needed now is for us to get behind them and support them, yes they might not bring instant success, but I believe that we might just see some success if we do.
  3. Just read the latest Backtrack magazine and have to say that it is very good again, particularly enjoyed the Rod Haynes column.
  4. I did not have anyhting to eat in the Burger King, but used the toilet upstairs, and I nearly fainted with the heat, it was like a sauna, I swear I must be the only person to go in Burger King and come out two or three pounds in weight lighter.
  5. Lets face it we are not going to win the Cup so I say give him a go.
  6. Another thread on the same subject, this is becoming a bit of a pain, but once again I will say this Nicki will not have been effected by the booing, in fact if anything he will have been spurred on. Nicki has been involved in so many controversial decisions over the years if I had a pound for everyone I would be a very rich man, and I am sure that Nicki will not be bothered as on more occasions the decisions go his way, and Nicki knows the when to stay down and when to get off the track quickly. Again I will say that I did not boo Nicki, I like the guy, I think he adds spice to the Grand Prix, and I think that the Grand Prix would be a dull place without him.
  7. Well Done Jason, I think people forget a rider actually won this Grand Prix.
  8. Cheers, having missed the youngsters again at Cardiff, this was a real treat.
  9. Totally agree with you Phil, this is not a training school, but is a chance for these lads to showcase their talents and is reward for the hard work that the kids and parents like yourself put in that year and over the years. I wonder if they had any similar posts like this one in Denmark, when they allowed their youngsters to have a ride at the Danish Grand Prix, I really do despair when I read posts like the one from Jeff, like Phil says this was done on invitation only, and as is a reward and gives the lads to soak up the atmosphere of a big crowd.
  10. Have to say that I like and am a Nicki Pedersen fan, as I suspected it does not effect his riding, have to say I laughed at the booing, as I thought to myself what are they really trying to achieve, people need to remember it is the referee who makes the decisions not the riders.
  11. The way I have always understood, you cannot call all 4 back at a Grand Prix, someone has to be excluded for the cause of the stoppage, maybe it is time for the all 4 back to be introduced to the Grand Prix series.
  12. No problem, no offence taken, the Grand Prix would not be the same without Nicki.
  13. Leanne, show me where I have said Nicki cheats, I have not, what I am saying is he know how to play the game, when he goes down he stays down, I think that Nicki is ruthless, and that is why he is the World Champ, that is why he has won Championships, and that is why he will more. The crowd booing him throwing insults and anything else that want to won't stop Nicki, this is the point that I was trying to point out, he is the talk of the championship, Jason Crump won the British Grand Prix, but who is the rider they are all talking about Nicki Pedersen, and who is the rider who is still leading the Championship, and I will stick my neck out now and say that Nicki will be World Champ again this season. Nicki know what he is doing, and he ask him if cares who he upsets along the way, and you will probably get the answer that he does not care, if it makes him popular okay, but if not I bet he will tell you he does not care Oh by the way I am a Nicki Pedersen fan
  14. I saw the guy fall over and have to agree the guy played up to the crowd, I have met the guy on a few occasions, and I have to say he is real character, and a good laugh.
  15. Belinda Carlisle, who look absolutely beautiful, but was miming.
  16. Big surprise there as I know Paul likes a sherbet or two, I would have definately put my money on him.
  17. Oh dear, I think someone has got out of the wrong side of the bed today, stop been so picky.
  18. That is a surprise as I would have put my money on the older experienced Paulco, proves that Pinny must be good at something then.
  19. I think the answer maybe that when riding a speedway bike, Nicki might not have the skill that Crumpie and Hancock have, what Nicki has is a very clver brain, and enormous will to win , he is prepared to win, and sometimes that can be doing things that are a calculating gamble, and prepared to take risks. Also he must be one of the most talked about speedway riders riding to day, Crumpie won the meeting, but who is the rider that is on everyone's lips, how many of these posts have been about Crumpie and how many have been about Nicki.
  20. Of course he would be eager to return to Britain! He doesn't ride for that warm fuzzy glow of entertaining the fans, he'd return to Britain because speedway is his livelihood. He's in it for the money. He cheated his way to the final (perhaps because he's desperate to get into the big-prize-money Super Prix race?!). I would agree with the omst of this post, except this bit, I think that Nicki pure and simply wants to be World Champ, the Super Prix does not bother him at all, or at least it comes a very poor 2nd to been World Champ again, lets face it Nicki has not won a Grand Prix all this series and I think that does not bother him as he is still top of the leader board.
