  1. Similar at Sheffield with Simon Lambert, Nick Morris true average this season is around the 7 point mark, and Lambert true average is around 6.5 point. If you look at the teams that have been in or around at the top this season, they are the teams that have a rider like these two at reserve. Somerset it was North, and Workington Ingalls. I am convince that one of the main reasons for Glasgow have been head and shoulders above everyone else is not only they have Nick Morris they have Rajakowski as well has been down at reserve for Glasgow until recently.
  2. Been to Leicester on a couple of occasions, and caught a taxi from the train station, cost around £9 from the taxi rank, to get back I have used Beaumont Taxis (01162367373), they were excellent and slightly cheaper going back, and they are also a local firm to the speedway.
  3. Still been discussed first I have heard of it.
  4. Do you know that for a fact, does anyone know actually for a fact. You do seem very obsessed with the going on's at Leicester speedway. You do appear to be hell bent on stirring things up when Leicester are mentioned even down to appearing to stir things about a post I ut on the Leicester v Sheffield thread.
  5. I think that you and the Leicester fans are missing people's point, people are not annoyed with Leicester they are annoyed with the BSPA who have given Leicester special dispensation to use riders who if they would have been riding for another club who have been ruled ineligible, that is why there are plenty of the Newport fans complaining because they have a team from their present 1to 7 that would have qualified. You say that the BSPA are not aware of Leicester intentions and the team that they are going to use, well the teams have been posted on the BSPA website so I suggest that they are fully aware and given Leicester permission to put the team out.
  6. I can understand your frustrations, but why would Sky get you missing fans back, I fail to see that one. The easiest solution to all this would be the top 8 teams in the league at the cut off point qualify regardless of where the meeting is held, if that means the host miss out then so be it.
  7. Totally agree must be very frustrating when you have gone through the card won every race, only for you to lose out in the Final.
  8. Again I agree with my old mate Shadders and Pongo and the rest, never really gone for the semi final and final way of sorting out these meetings, maybe we a traditionalists. But as someone has pointed out the riders know the rules when they enter, but for me you sometimes don't get the best rider on the night winning the meeting.
  9. Lets hope that some of the top performers get the chance to ride in the Premier League.
  10. Well Done Jason Garrity and James Sargeantb oth products of the old Sheffield Training track.
  11. Good call lets face it we need all the help we can get, and I am sure the Aussies won't mind.
  12. I don't think that there is an easy solution, going on the top 7 teams in the league has its flaws because it would judge teams on a 7 riders. Not too sure about qualifiers because we could see problems with fixture lists, I so think it would be nice to be told at the start of the season what qualifying requirements are from the word go. I do question whether the host track should be automatically given a spot, Leicester been a team that are one the weakest in the league.
  13. Think the scoreline flattered Gorzow in the end a fine performance by the Bulls.
  14. Heat 12 what a race by the Leszno pairing. Gorzow don't seem to be get to grips with the track.
  15. I think what you have to accept is the Polish speedway fans are a different breed to our Brits, they like to have fun make lots of noise and dance around, but if you interact with them they really enjoy it and you find that you do as well. I found this out when I went to the Leszno Grand Prix this year, with Paulco, Bluejam and Junior we were not long in our seats when we struck up a group of Polish lads, when they found out we were Brits they could not have been more friendlier. By the end of the night they had us up dancing with them (although it has to be said that unlike Bluejam who was showing all great dance moves Paulco was frankly rubbish). By the end of the night one of the lads insisted that Bluejam take his Polish baseball cap as a leaving present, and went for a beer with them. Unfortunately we lost most but we were left with one Jacob who treat me like his long lost brother, but they were great company and like I say if you interact with them they love it.
  16. I think that Cardiff has become the spiritual home of the Grand Prix, and I think that everyone concerned should strive to keep it at Cardiff. But if not Cardiff why not Don Valley Arena at Sheffield, close to Sheffield town centre, close to Robin Hood Airport and Manchester airport, close to the M1 and excellent public transport links. The only downside would be it does not have de tractable roof. But like I say, every effort should be made to keep it at Cardiff.
  17. Fantastic win for the Potters, on a personal level nice to see Simon Lambert and James Sarjeant having good meetings, James is certainly making up for an indifferent season last season and I would imagine that the win today would have been sweet after what happen to him at Dudley last year. On the downside questions need to be raised about how the Stoke promotion organise themselves, to have a meeting delayed for 2 hours is unacceptable.
  18. I think it might be a bit too early for Ben, I would maybe look at giving Tai another crack at it.
  19. Wrong to write Bomber off, I seem to remember him been in a similar position last season and he came back. But if he does not qualify then I think that they will stick give on position to a Brit, not sure whether or not that is such a good idea or fair, but I think that they will do. Might not be a bad thing if we don't have a full time rider in the Grand Prix, might just let the speedway authorities in this country realise how far behind we have gone in International speedway.
  20. Texted him my congratulations and he told me that both he and George were getting rat arsed.
  21. Congratulations to the Glasgow Tigers best team won on the night.
