  1. I don't about giving Team Managers something to think about gives me something to think about. You do have point of giving young reserves chance to earn more, how about having meetings over 16 heats with two reserve races.
  2. Not a bad idea, but what about the riders who are riding at number 2, would mean that they would possibly lose out on easy race and a chance to make some money.
  3. Australian ex motorcross rider with British family roots.
  4. Maybe Ricky Ashworth should not have agreed to ride for Plymouth, but lets not forget that this at the time was his one and only option left open to him as he was informed that his place at Sheffield had gone. Also don't forget that the deal on offer to him from Plymouth was better than the one offered to him at Sheffield, so I would imagine that instincts told him that the best thing to do would be to agree to the deal.the only other option left open to him was to be out of work. At the end of the day hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  5. The Lucky Shorts. Could be that me Squall and Junior should share some of the responsibility for them after a fine win last season we insisted that he could only attend Sheffield meeting if he wore the Lucky Shorts. To be fair to Halifax what he was saying is that Somerset own their stadium Plymouth don't and are at the mercy of there landlords on facilities. He has said it would fairer to compare Somerset with Scunthorpe, who both own there own stadiums.
  6. And that is what Halifax Tiger is giving you his opinion. The thing with Halifax is that he travels around the tracks and watches speedway at all different level of Leagues and stadium, and I think that at the end of the day he is probably one of the most unbiased honest opinions that you will get on here. And when I say he travels around a lot I really do mean it, he must spend a fortune on his love of speedway, in fact Squall's Dad is convince that Halifax is a Secret Millionaire.
  7. There could be an element of truth in that statement.
  8. No doubt the Devils have potentially the best top two in the league, but it is rest of the team that looks suss to me. The big problem is if either Fisher or Barker have an off night or receives and injury, because the rest of the team is lacking for me.
  9. Only really two people who know the true story, and we can all speculate on what actually went on, and I guess we will never really know the exactly went off.
  10. That sounds like fun, maybe a tag team match or even a Royal Rumble. Big Problem for Squall as he wears glasses and removing them means he is as blind as a bat. But then again you know what say about hitting men while they are wearing glasses. How about Bluejam as referee. ..
  11. Funny a lot of people have that opinion of him, but 5 visits to Rye House since 2008, only failed to hit double figures once and a average of 9.45 and that is without bonus points.
  12. Maybe this could be the time for Ricky once and for all to prove his doubters wrong. I have never known a rider been labelled as a one track pony or not getting recognition that he rightly deserves.
  13. Yeah Dave Hoggart nearly had a heart attack on the spot when he said it.
  14. He did say at the Farewell Dinner in November that the first three names were Chris Holder, Darcy Ward and Freddie Lindgren.
  15. How many engine failures. The answer is probably that the lad can relate more to Shane Parker than Bob Kilby.
  16. Got in touch with Steph and Kevin, at the New Barrack Tavern to warn them to expect a coach load Glaswegians on the Saturday night/ Sunday Afternoon. Here is the message back; Thanks for letting us know, I better warn the post office about the Scottish notes will be great to see you all again x
  17. People ought to pay me not predict there team to win honours I am usually the kiss of death with my predictions.
  18. Yeah how many teams finish with the same 7 riders that they started with, vast majority will have to make changes either through riders getting injured or riders loss of form. Look how one rider appeared to change the fortunes of the Newport side last season, from a team that looked destined to finish in the bottom 4 to a side that took on the League Champions and beat them in the KOC.
  19. Made a massive impact on the Sheffield fans in his one and only season with the club, I think a lot of other Sheffield fans would agree with me that it was an honour to have Shane ride for us in his last season.
  20. Not sure, but Shane's meeting was announced way back in October last year, hopefully both meetings will be well attended. Surely it would have been better for all parties if they found a different date, Shane has the date booked way back in October last year, the date for thr Bob Kilby meeting was announced last week.
